DENVER
Thank you and I have Bubble to thank for sizing etc.  Believe it or not I was looking into a mirror and trying to take a selfie with my thumb.  Takes a lot of time. Lol

These are all local cam shots. The Nenana River, today just outside of town. A good view of an Arctic winter.

Next is Golden Heart Park, just a block from me.

And finally, again today. If you look at the foreground of the last cam shot and see the small church from 1911? This cam view is directly behind and to the west of that small church. We range from about zero to plus 7 at night to about plus 40 or thereabouts in the daylight.

Angel.  So far doesn't look to bad.  It doesn't look like they do a lot of High Building or build close together there.  Church Steeples seem to be the highest.

Looks cold though...

It is cold, probably because I don't go out in it. I posted these because so many see the arctic as filled with snow, which it never is. There is more frost and ice than anything. These are from the center of town. The majority of malls and newer buildings are built up around the outside similar to most other cities. The following are free photos of different areas of Fairbanks.

Back home, thanks for all the comments, now some catching up to do, But love the waterfall and pumpkin shots and the smiles on all the faces.

Mary Ann

Sandy, what a cute picture and idea.  They had to get a fairly good sized pumpkin to put Fi in it.

In June three of us went to Eaton Rapids MI to visit my great niece, her husband and five-month daughter.  I took a picture of the three of them and her husband noted that it was the first picture they had of the three of them.  I was so glad I thought of it.

Did not see a lot of color this weekend.   Posting a photo of the line up of vehicles wanting to get onto Skyline Drive, for what was claimed the peak this year.  We waited in line then drove a short bit, but tough getting a spot to park.  We decided to turn around and leave.  Giving one photo from an overlook, and a photo of some climbing rocks for photos ( I no longer climb rocks)

jackwv

On the way home today I stopped at Coopers Rocks in West Virginia, again not much color but had to get a photo of one of my favorite trees.

jackwv

Had to return to Oglebay today, a bit more color and close to home.

Sandy, what a cute picture of little "Fi"  and her mom and dad.  I have seen several pictures of friends that had the same idea.   Really a cute idea.

Jack, even with the pale colors, you still got to see some nice scenery.  I have not been to Skyline Drive for so many years.  It was always a nice trip to take.  Glad you had nice weather.  That tree at Coopers Rock is sure unusual.  I remember you posting that before and know that is one of your favorite photos.

Wow, I've been gone a few days & y'all have been busy!  I won't write a book tonight but just gotta say the photos are all fantastic!

Jack, I saw a few red maple trees in MO that were brilliant but mostly browns & not even pretty rust or yell this year.  This morning the fog was so dense I had to run the wipers.... & smeared the bugs.  Didn't take a single photo with a camera but did get some of the cats with the phone.  I haven't figured how to get from the phone to the computer but too tired tonight to think.  Wind going both ways was horrible again (been strong every drive the last 4 or 5 times.)

Sandy, darling of Fi & parents.... she looks like both of them in that pic, don't you think?  Cute in the pumpkin.  My little great about her age has changed so much I had to double check to make sure it was Kate.  She doesn't look at all like her older brother or sister.  I miss out on the kids photos because I don't do Facebook....

Patricia, I just heard about a kid I graduated high school with that just got back from "across Alaska" with his wife in their RV..... I'm jealous~  Love your photos.  Do you go on those walks like you used to... in the woodsy area?  For some reason I haven't taken photos of wildlife the last year or so.... need to get out & walk more.  I can't shoot out the windows in this RV because of huge side mirrors blocking the view.

Beautiful shot of your daughter & family, Bubble.... Aviv is growing up so fast!

I'd better go see if cats want to come in again for their last meal of the day.  They were so glad to get home to go run, but have been in & out for food constantly.  They don't get enough exercise in the RV & I can't dare let them out, they would freak out & hide in a strange place.  They were better than normal at night but it is such a struggle to close them in the bedroom to be able to get in & out to get gas, etc.  I put them in their cages when putting the slide out in & out, for fear they will get into the open spaces during the process. Cats are so nosy.  Had a nice turn out for the family reunion.  A long day & hard drive first in fog & then wind.  Lot of cleaning to do tomorrow, everything in the RV from mattress pad out (king size) gets washed.... plus the bedding in all 3 cages.  I put 750 miles on between Friday to Monday....

EDIT:  I went back & found the photo of the rose of sharon, Jean.... that is gorgeous!  My mother loved those bushes but I don't recall hers having double petals like that.  I thought hers looked more like holly hocks.   That is a beautiful photo.

Jack.
Wellcome home. Looks like a good trip. Got some good shots.
Already the traffic so bad. Needs patience this time of year in popular spots. I remember going on them when girls were smaller.  Brown county was popular here. We learned to pack a lunch in the car. Was so slow we we say having a picnic as we crawled along.
Would love to have a copy of that black and white shot of figures on the rocks for my framing.
Can you pull it out and send to my email.?

Joy the tree photo was just taken, but have posted other photos in the past. Thanks to you Shirley and JeanneP.   Jeanne I thought that was an interesting shot, will send on to you.

Sandy, what a nice photo of little Fi with Mom and Dad.  Neat idea.

Jack, we've been in that area many times when we lived in Virginia.  When Larry retired and we were looking around for places we would like to live out the rest of our lives, we went house hunting in Harrisonburg among a few other places.  We finally decided on warmer weather and ended up in Florida.  That was good for me because Ocala had a branch of the company where I was working at the time.  So I was able to transfer and keep working for a few years.  But that area of Virginia is beautiful.

Yesterday I got a couple of photos of the decorations in our neighborhood.  We lived in an older section of Ocala and there were no small children in our neighborhood.  Well, we had plenty of kids last night.  Some of the cutest little kids in their costumes.  After our two two big bags of candy was gone, we called it a night.  There were so many cute decorations in the neighborhood.

Jean, some clever and talented neighbors.

Jean,  some very creative neighbors, you have.   That spider looks like it was a lot of work to put together.

Nothing like that up my way.  Thanks for sharing.

Jack. I have not idea how I did it.  I just right clicked on the one on S and F. put it on my Desktop . Opened in to Print and sized it to 5 x 10 and as my printer just does Black and white it came out Perfect.. Dark enough to frame. Look good in a black frame.

Thanks
JeanneP

FlaJean.  Those were great. Love the motorcycle one. Great area you live in.  Not one house in mine even had a child going around.  This is the last time I am going to make things. Been stuck with them for 3 years.

I always thought I would have like to have come over and lived in Boston. I saw pictures of there growing up in UK. Had no idea until I started researching family history 6  years ago that my Maternal Grandparents had come over from UK in 1889 and lived outside of Boston. Returning back to UK. in 1898 . So I have visited the area and found out all about them. Have 2 graves there and his first wife died along with a baby boy.  B ut if not there then next choice would be In Virginia.
Your choice of Florida seems to have worked well for you.
