Good Sunday morning, Everyfriend.  There's bacon and eggs to go with your coffee or tea.  I wish ALL a blessed day.

Thanks to Phyllis for her lovely “March” graphic creation which we are using this week.

Chuckles

Clever Dog

A wife says to her husband one weekend morning, "We've got such a clever dog. He brings in the daily newspapers every morning."

Her husband replied "Well, lots of dogs can do that."
The wife responded, "But we've never subscribed to any papers!"

Food For Thought

SINGLE PERSON'S PRAYER
(Author Unknown)

"Lord, help me as a single adult.
Help me to acknowledge Your presence in my times of loneliness.
Help me to understand the difference between being alone and being lonely.
Help me to claim Your promise to be closer than a brother.

Help me to be positive in my present circumstances.
Help me to not to allow past hurts to affect my present attitudes
Help me to experience contentment even as I acknowledge my desire for companionship

Help me to find security not in my possessions or in relationships, but in You
Help me not to be threatened by possible failure of relationships of others
Help me never to be so self-sufficient that I have no need for others.
Help me to subject myself to the counsel of others

Help me to share my burdens and hurts with others.
Help me always to hear the counsel of others in the light of Your Word.
Help me to cultivate friendships for the sake of others as well as myself.
Help me not to withdraw from those who are of different status.

Help me to be supportive of the family unit as You ordained it.
Help me in my freedom to be a channel of Your love to others.
Help me to control my natural desires.

Help me to never become careless about my personal appearance.
Help me to use my time wisely.
Help me never to allow others to take Your place in my life.
Help me to be honest about my desires for the future.
Help me to seek Your guidance and direction in my life.

Lord I ask these in Your Holy name. Amen."
Thought of the Day

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, courage to change the one I can, and wisdom to know it's me.

JOAN....good Sunday morning..it is good seeing your post...how are you this morning?
I am soon off to church...

Good Morning Everyfriend!  And a special Good Morning to you, Joanie.  I went to bed worrying about you because of your absence here.  I hope your absence here meant that you were spending the day resting and recuperating.  And I hope you are on the way to feeling much better than yesterday and even better tomorrow.

I need to thank you especially for today's inspirational reading.  I was feeling a bit down yesterday and asking God if there was a purpose in leaving me here alone.  I think he inspired you to answer that question for me.  That reading seemed to be a direct answer to my thoughts of yesterday.  Thank you!

I'll be off to church this morning.  It's my turn to read the lesson and I always enjoy that.  We have a supply priest this morning and it's a lady we've had before and she is very special!  I'm looking forward to her message.

I probably won't be back until late this afternoon because my son and I are going to help my youngest nephew celebrate his 50th birthday this afternoon and between that and church, I need to make a quick stop at WM for printer paper.

I hope you all have a lovely day filled with everything you love...

Good Morning everyone.
I see three of you girls are up and at it this Morning.
Have a great day. I have taken my vitals and med's  and had my oatmeal.
so I should be good for the day. I am going to the couch and see if I can fiend
a good movie to watch. I do not if it would be a point of interest or not but'
My cusens granddad used to say that you could chew your food (every bite)
27 or 28 times to proper mix the correct amt. of saliva with it. ( liquid or solid)
we have got on the fast train so just poke it in and swallow. (not good)
I hope everyone has a good day.

Lloyd

JoanFL

Good morning, Vanilla-Jackie.  Each day I seem to be a tiny bit better.  I spend most of my day on the couch.

Janie--Good morning.  I am sorry I caused you to worry,  Great that today's reading was of some help to you.  Happy 50th birthday to your youngest nephew.

Good morning, Lloyd.  I'm afraid if I chewed every bite of food 28 or 29 times, I'd be  totally exhausted by about the 4th bite.

I am back from Church, so glad I found this one, very friendly and welcoming village parishioners...no Holy Communion today as that is being taken at a neighbouring village church at the same time by the regular vicar who flits between the four neighbouring village churches....today was the local regular lady step in, and just the normal Sunday service....

JANE S...
...see, that reading was there just waiting for you...as they say, " God works in mysterious ways...."

JOAN...
...I bet you rather would the couch than a hospital bed?

Joan I am smelling the bacon...

Gloria

Good morning everyone, this is one of the days if you do not have to go out you stay inside. It is 11° and with the windchill it feels like -20°. Humidity is low and on the news they are saying there is a fire danger. No wonder, dry and this windy and no snow left. There is a planned swim today into the ocean for Special Olympics.  They are saying that with these temps and the wind 30 minutes  exposed skin can get frostbite. The sun is already shining but doubt it can warm up much. Just saw a bit about it on the news. They started this yesterday afternoon, every hour a group runs into the water and some get in and right out and others swim a little. When they get out of the water they are welcomed with someone putting a blanket around them. This will continue till noon today.

JOAN  this is a geemogothchees day for sure.

MARY ANN  this morning is worse than yesterday.

JUNE  I thought I take too many pills and would like to drop some but I do take them when I should. I would not be happy with anyone waking me at 6AM for anything. Some days I am awake at that time and others I am sound asleep.

PATRICIA  your hair sounds like mine in the mornings. A fright definitely. It has been a bit over a year since smoking is no longer allowed in this building but we have a small building now where smokers can go. It is enclosed and has a bench in it to sit on.  I have heard we are one of the few places with a smoke shack like this, some have a place to smoke but no roof or walls or anything. I know a few here have had a family member stay with them at times but I think they have to notify the manager. I get the Baba mail and love it. I can get lost in there for a few hours. So many different things to check.

JENNY  sorry you are cold there in Texas. Been a lot of years since I have been around a puppy but I remember how lively they are.

JANE  that was quite a saving on the Honey Crisp apples. My son has some of those in his orchard and they are their favorites. When they are ripe he picks most of them for themselves but I always get some, too.  He charges the same price for all varieties. Other orchards do not do that.

CAROL  looks like you will not be making that Swiss meal much anymore. I know I can no longer cook much just for me, would never be able to do it for the crowds like I used to.

Talk about loosing it, I just found I have 2 appointments on Tuesday, did not write one on my calendar and cannot remember if I called for a ride on either one.

SHIRLEY  these days I have read often sleeping on the left side is the thing to do because it helps the stomach some how or other. I fall asleep on either side, depends on which one I can get comfortable on.

PHYLLIS  love this weeks graphic.  We are having those March winds.

JOAN  good to see you this morning. Thanks for breakfast, love crisp bacon and eggs over light.  Cleave Dog is a thief. Food for Thought is one I will keep on my desktop. Fits many of us here in the SS. Thought of the day goes with it. Thank you for all today's goodies. Now go rest and take care of YOU.

JANE  I feel like you did yesterday at times, wonder why I am still here.

LLOYD  yes we do need to chew our food and not just swallow it.

Good Morning Everyone !

The temps here have dropped  down,  but
after today they are suppose to go back up.

After all it is March.

Good to see you posting  a bit Joan.
May you get better by the hour until you
begin to feel more like your normal self.

Have a good day,  Everyone!

Hi everyone.  It is another beautiful Sunday morning here in the South and we will get up to about 70º this afternoon.  Pat and I will go to Sunday School and Church and then eat out or pick up something to bring home for our big meal for the day.  Then we expect to spend a restful day.  I will watch the last day of the PGA Championship from Mexico City later this afternoon.  Our granddaughter brought our car back about 4:30 yesterday and stayed to have dinner with us, which was most enjoyable.  About 7 pm I took her back to where Scott works so she could get his car.

June, the song "Dear Hearts and Gentle People" is a song I remember from my growing up years and was sung by Bing Crosby and later recorded by Dinah Shore.  Thanks for the info on your meal costs.  I just did a Google search on which side it was preferable to sleep on and the information was interesting.

Shirley, I can't imagine not using some type of pillow.

Patricia, those are a lot of new rules.  I would agree with you on the nonsmoking.  The escorting your guests in an out seems a little extreme.  A few times when Stacey was in the hospital across from where she had her apartment we would stay there.  They couldn't say anything since we paid the rest most of the time and were named on the lease so had a right to be there.

JaneS, I wish I could find Honey Crisp apples for $1.00/lb.  I was in shock when apples went over $1/lb but love them so didn't give them up but sure don't pay the higher prices.  My favorite are Red Delicious and they are one of the more inexpensive varieties, as I am sure you know.

Phyllis, a very beautiful graphic you made for March that Joan has shared with us today as we start a new week.

Gloria, our area is also under fire warnings due to the low humidity.  We had another freeze warning last night but don't believe it froze where we are last night and the temperatures look good for the next few days.

halkel

Good Morning Everyone!

And especially you Joanie, happy to see you posting this morning and offering your usual "goodies".  You take care of yourself and rest.

It is a nasty day here today.  We had an inch of rain in our gauge and prospects for more look good.  It looks like a winter day out, except it isn't that cold.

I have got to get myself dressed for church.  Wife has greeting this morning, which means I get to listen to the choir practice, which I enjoy.
Everyone have a great day.

CallieOK

Good Morning,

Joan - so glad to see you here and learn that you are beginning to feel better.

I can't remember if I told about Miss Ellen and three friends going to watch the Rachael Ray show several weeks ago.   During the audience warm-up, the announcer asked if anybody who had never had their ears pierced would be willing to have it done on the show.

Ellen was the only one who raised her hand!   She went back to the studio a week later to tape the segment.

She has been told that the segment will be part of a “Never Have I Ever….”  theme show airing tomorrow - Monday, March 6.
It will probably be about 3 ½ minutes long (or less) and I have no idea at what point in the show it will be aired.

I also doubt that a 24-year-old who has never had her ears pierced is as important to a Rachael Ray audience as a woman who has never ever had a dinner party or a doctor discussing “never have I ever…” sex issues. So Ellen may not do anything more than stand there and smile!

The Rachael Ray show is syndicated so I don't know what time it comes on in your area but if you care to take a look.......   :)

Wishing Everyfriend Everywhere an Enjoyable Day.

Vanilla-Jackie--You are exactly right--couch is 100% better than the hospital.

Good morning, Gloria.  Maybe those people getting in the water for charity should be furnished some geemogotchees.  :)  I do plan on being a  couch potato again today.  I'm definitely gtting better but nowhere hear 100%.

Sandy--Good morning.  Thanks for the good wishes.

Good morning Larry.  You and Pat have a well planned day.

halkel--Good morning.  I am not up to posting as much as I usually do, but will do some.

Callie--Good morning.  Yes, I remember your telling about Miss Ellen and the Rachel Ray show.  Thanks for tell me that segment will air tomorrow.  I will be watching.

The third baby of our "explosion" arrived yesterday, Saturday.  I don't know any particulars, but from the looks of his picture, he is a hefty one.  He has quite a name - Isaiah Raydan Lancaster Tock.  I don't know where the Raydan comes from as it is not a name from either of the father's families and it doesn't sound Chinese (mother is Chinese).

Dot and I did our usual this morning after church and we're both in for the rest of the day.

Larry, I probably will watch some golf, too.

Joan, it is good to see you back and feeling somewhat better.

Mary Ann

June Drabek

Thank you God. I know you are there watching over all of us, and I am so grateful to see our Bis feeling a bit better.

Bis, may each minute of each day give you more strength of recovery. Keep resting as much as possible and eat regularly. Both are essential as you well know.

I am very happy to see all the rest of you up and 'attum, and I hope your Sunday will give you all the good things we hope and pray for. I plan to be off to Chapel at 10 0'clock, then home to relax a bit before going back down for lunch.

Gloria, my week-end nurse starts her day at four a.m. She says it is not easy, but necessary. She takes care of two of our buildings and has to arrange all the medications for different times of the day so it is a very responsible job. Always done with a big smile and a pleasant attitude.

Larry, I too remember Dear Hearts and Gentle People from my younger years. Never hear it anymore though.

I haven't picked up this week's Calendar of events yet, but Sunday is usually a very quiet day here, and I enjoy that. Folks go off to their various Churches, and some of us go to the service at our very own Chapel here at Rowntree.

A girl just came and checked me out.....I forgot to push my button this morning, signaling I'm O.K. I feel like such a dummy. But she is always polite and kind with a happy greeting. I guess it gives her a job, which everyone needs.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Amy

Good afternoon.
I slept in yesterday and again today!! Both days I hit the floor a running!! Met up with  daughter in love at the 50% off fabric sale then the 3 of us went for lunch. I must admit I was pooped when I got home. We take the dogs with us and walk them when needed.
Today after meeting for tea/coffee I came home and hung laundry out..mind you when I first got up it was -30 and I said mo way but as the day progressed it became nicer and I really wanted to at least get the bedding hung out. Filled the wood box in the shop/garage then filled the one in the house and got another load ready to go in. To lazy to start bread so I made a batch of buttermilk biscuits to go with our mushroom soup at noon. Now, I am going to go sew :smitten:

Joan ,you made my day when I say you in here...
and thank you for breakfast, Please rest and take special care of yourself .
Phyliss I too love the graphic!
Jane Happy birthday to your nephew!!Enjoy your time with family.
Lloyd, not sure I could chew that many times, I figiure if I get it just right.....down she goes and onto the next treat for my tongue  :)
Gloria it was -30 °C when I first got up and I am so happy it warmed up!
Carol Connecting Threads has 3 nice new backings , I got all three to use and I am not disappointed in them. They are a great company to deal with.
Shirley, I had one dog at my feet and another in front of me..the one beside me was bad but the one at my feet vibrated the bed with her panting. I bought t shirts for her to wear to protect her 5 inch incision and it is really bugging her..must be healing!
Sandy out temp dropped to but I think the bottom fell out of it.....gosh -30 is nice fit for man nor beast!
Larry, my son sent me some photos of a lovely pink shrub? that was blooming in SC.....not sure what it was but the colours were beautiful!
Callie, Thank you I will try and watch to see Miss Ellen...I also don't have my ears pierced..
Hal, sounds like your on the go again!!

Enjoy your day..

Good afternoon, again windy and cold, not a cloud in the sky.Looks beautiful, but I am not going to put my foot out the door if I do not have too.

Joan, I join with all the others, saying we are so happy to see your post. WE pray, you are feeling better real soon.

Phyllis, thanks for the lovey poem.

Callie, I will try to remember to watch RR to morrow. I had been checking, but sometimes my nurse came in at 10.

Jenny, I use to like to play Hand and Foot. Every thursday afternoon they play LR, at the rec hall. I am suppose to have a class in Mexican Train, next month at Homemakers.  They are teaching Mahjong now.

June, I like spam on to top of Mac. & cheese.

Gloria, it got up to 19 about 10AM. Cold again to morrow, the back to 50 Tuesday. I need to get to the bank, maybe I will wait till then. I guess it feels like March, and so far it has been a lion.

Amy, I sure could not keep up with you anymore.

MaryAnn, Happy to hear all the good news in your growing family.

Larry, nice you are enjoying your g.daughters visits.

Good morning from a bright sunny Interior which means the temperatures will be dropping again. We are at the same plus nine we had yesterday but are expected to drop to minus 17.

Farrah is maneuvering her dry food from between the holes and ridges of her tube. They say cats are happier searching out their food, healthier and more exercise than simply plopping a dish out all day which leads to overeating and weight gain. Anyway, she is a stocky, active, small cat, 7 pounds, who eats a 3/4th cup of food a day, spread out. Sometimes I think she is all muscle the ways she leaps up and about, back and forth.

My neighbor's cat, a calico was eating people food, dry and wet food and had gotten quite cumbersome and inactive except when she heard the fridge door or the sound of the can opener. Her vet put her cat on a strict amount and a dry diet food, absolutely no extra snacks or people food. My neighbor says she follows her around and cries, but she is losing weight, and the vet is happy even if her cat isn't.

So I am glad that Farrah is verbal, active and not interested in wet cat food or people food. A good average cat weight is between nine to fourteen pounds if the cat is not one of the larger breeds such as the Norwegian Forest which can get up to a healthy twenty pounds. My vet says Farrah is healthy and active is excellent for her health.

When I first took her to the vet, she would lay on the exam table all scrunched up and shake. Now she sits up, looks around and is alert but not threatened. She had her shots last week, and she only turned around and gave the tech such a look that the tech laughed and said, "If looks could kill!" The only sad part she still has is that sudden loud noises or banging or if someone new rises abruptly. That will send her under the table or into her net carrier.

Joan, I'm glad you are feeling better and hope tomorrow is even better.

The new rules say no smoking by anyone, anywhere on the property which is nice, but I'll bet some are still lighting up in their apartments. The escorting rules, Larry, are for everyone's protection. There was one man on the second floor, who lost his lease because he was bringing certain women in for the evening and leaving them to find their own way out. We only have security, office personnel, and maintenance inside the building. Any nurses or CNAs are independently contracted. If more assistance is needed and there is an opening, you can transfer to one of the company's other building with more aid available or to state buildings or a private home that offers such support.

Interesting that the weather gadget here says minus 15 while my balcony facing north has plus nine. The temperature must come from the airport that is surrounded by a river and float ponds.

Denver

A good Sunday HELLO to all.

So good to read you continue to feel a bit better each day, JOAN.  Continued prayers for you.  Thank you for your offerings for us today.  I enjoyed them very much.

Thank you, PHYLLIS, for the nice poem graphic you made for Joan to share.

Still cloudy out today, but they say it will clear off this afternoon!  I hope it does as I have a need for some rays!

Oliver is doing great and has shown no signs yet of missing his parents!  Ha!  We will tell them he has looked all over for them!  We face timed with them yesterday afternoon and they were enjoying their day at the beach!

CALLIE, I have taped the RRay show and look forward to seeing Ms Ellen.  Thank you for keeping us posted on this!

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Jenny

Wishing all a good afternoon on this "oh so cold"  Sunday.   Even tho the sun is shinning, the temperature isn't that "sunny".

Joan, I am happy to read that you are slowly feeling better.  Please continue to rest and take care of yourself.  I am also glad to read that you do have someone to check on you.

Gloria, where I live we play Hand and Foot and also Mexican Train.  I enjoy playing Hand and Foot with only 3 people.  That way you are "on our own" without a partner to help you out.  It is more challenging that way.  But we do usually play partners most of the time.
I like Mexican Train, also, because you can have more people able to play.  We have a lot of fun, because it seems different people play different rules. So, we have to agree on the rules before we start and then, it seems like all of us have to keep reminding each other which rules we are going by that particular day.  We all get to laughing so much, as it looks like none of us really know what we are doing.  It is usually a really fun time.

I am thinking about doing some laundry later.  I like to wait until late afternoon as I usually have the laundry room all to myself.

So, again, I will add my wishes for you, Joan, in hopes that you are having a good afternoon and getting enough rest.

BIG BOX

June Drabek

Amy, I think it takes a very special person to work with medical aids of all kinds. Especially those that do no have glorious degrees, but are willing to do the grunt work and care so much for the "grunters"...and we are legion...some not so nice.

Gloria de, Spam on mac and cheese would really be a rich dish, but oooh so tasty. When I made it with the scalloped potatoes I always added mushroom soup for a sauce, and the family liked it...even the kids, and  mine were never too fond of casserole dishes, Not even my "Big" kid, name of husband. He was hardest of all to please since he had a Polish mother who spoiled her whole family. She would cook separate meals for all her four children and her husband. He learned that I did NOT run my household that way. He was Boss, but not under the same roof.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Mary Ann

When we left for church this morning our temperature was 26 degrees, winter coat weather yet.  At 3 pm, it now is 46 degrees.  I haven’t been outside since I got home so I don’t know if it is windy or not, but I do have the front door open (storm door closed).

Kendrick has not had people food, at least not here.  He gets about a cup of dry food each day and doesn’t eat all of it, but does eat most of it.  He is a big cat, possibly four feet long stretched out from tip of tail to end of toes.  He is not fat.  He doesn’t get a lot of exercise but all of a sudden inside, he’ll take off and race from one room to another.  I’d say he got into the catnip but he hasn’t learned to open the drawer where I keep it.  As I’ve said, he is not vocal, although last night Annie was here brushing him and got too close to a tender spot and he let her know he hurt.  He does disappear if someone new comes in, but he is used to Dot or Annie coming in.  Dot is allergic to cat hair and doesn’t come often, but doesn’t stay long enough for the allergy to kick in.

Neither Tom nor I are smokers and none of the rest of the family is either.  I don’t have any ash trays in sight but I can’t think of anyone who has been here who smokes.  My dad smoked a pipe but he’s been gone a long time before I moved to this condo.  Norm smoked until his heart surgery in 1976 but his first wife continued to smoke after her heart attack.  She had a lot of things wrong when she died.  I have never smoked, not even a first time, but I guess with my dad smoking a pipe, I got plenty of second hand smoke.  And with Norm smoking, I also got second hand smoke.

Mary Ann

Lindancer

MaryAnn, Taffy gets those running fits about once a week, and she run up and down the hall jumps o the bed  come down runs around the living room. She also has never had people food.

Joy, I have never played partner's with Hand and Foot. Generally  there was 3 of us. I use to have one neighbor who would come down on sat. nights and we would play until about 11. Some games took a long time. I belong to a card club here in the park for about 10 years, every Wed. we would play Michigan Rummy, there was six of us. The hostess for the evening would have coffee and desert after. They do play different cards and games at the club house. I just enjoyed the social part of our Wed. get togethers :).

Vets and other feline experts have long said that the sudden burst of manic feline activity was natural and due to indoor cats working off what is termed their prey instinct. Farrah has it on occasion as well.

Some folks state that second-hand smoke has killed as many if not more of smokers due to causing various diseases and conditions. They used to say that after ten years of non-smoking, your body repaired the damage. But now they know that isn't true. It is the same with dry alcoholics, some things are permanent. I'm glad I quit in 2000 but I wish I had never started!

Either the weather here cannot make up its mind or the gadget at the bottom of my post is off. My balcony thermometer has read plus nine all day. The gadget with my earlier post at 9:57 AM stated it was minus 15 and now it is saying zero, and now one degree. Hmmm...

MaryAnn, I went to Geoff's Facebook page but he has no baby photos as yet and nothing new from two years ago. Also Sun Knowles has been posting in Facebook, but not here.

Mary Ann

Patricia, Tom said he got the picture from Facebook, but it could be that some other family member posted it.  I don't know who all is on Facebook, except I know I am not!  The picture I have is too large for my screen, so I've got to work on that.  He looks like a healthy boy.

I'm glad to hear Sun is posting, even if not here.  She has said she doesn't have use of one hand, maybe both, and that keeps her from posting regularly.

I am always surprised to see how many posts I've made- 1488 so far and this will add one.  Of course I post in more than two folders.

It has been a very quiet day here at Rowntree. A nice Church Service, a good dinner with friends, then home to read and nap..not my usual deep sleep, but a nice rest. We have had some on again, off again sprinkles, so not much activity outside my windows. I did wander down to the library to return some books and get a couple more, and a group of our more industrious folk were playing Wii bowling on the big screen. I could not get interested in that even though I always liked regular bowling...in the days when I was still stable on my feet. Wii bowling can be done sitting down if needed.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Joan, had to laugh at the dog bringing in the paper..... When we lived west of town, all houses on an acre of land so spread apart, a number of us kept missing our morning paper.  We called the delivery people daily, who kept telling everyone that she delivered so must be a dog.......  finally during a neighborhood gathering one lady mentioned her Irish Setter kept proudly bringing a bunch of papers every morning.  She didn't know where they came from so put the haul of the day out on her front porch in hopes someone would see them.  Mystery solved, solution: they had to keep their dog in until everyone had time to pick up their papers.

Larry, the nurses couldn't imagine anyone sleeping flat, either.  I do keep a pillow to put my knee on or sometimes pull it along side my head to lay against.  My favorite apple is also the Red Delicious.  Back in grade school days my mother would give me a nickle to buy an apple half as big as my head from the Safeway store (for a nickle!!) to eat when I walked home, or ride the bus.  Guess it is/was about a mile & half or 2 miles from school to our house on the edge of the city limits (back then).  I always preferred the apple & walk.  I was good at picking out a good one, MO raised a lot of apples back then.

Phyll, just yesterday I was looking at some of the photos we took last June when sons & I went to CO & found the woods flooded with melting snow running off.  Was neat to see but couldn't get the feel in the photos.   Nice graphic!

Every time I hear Dear Hearts & Gentle People I think of my youngest brother.  He worked for a local owned hardware/auto parts store that opened another store in Eastern Kansas, so asked him to help with it for a while.  His first time away from "home".  When he finally got back home he would whistle that tune all the time & would bring tears to our mother's eyes as she would remember how lonesome he had been.  When he was in the service, stationed in Maryland & later Alaska, he was married & had a baby to take along..... but he spent the rest of his life living in the little town of Sedalia, MO, and loved it.

June, my mother often cooked separate "meals" for each of us.  Her mother died when she was 7 so she tried to be everything she wished for when she was young.  Mother had stomach problems so didn't eat what the rest of us did, for years she lived on baby food that she cooked herself.  Maybe 10 years before she died a doctor told her that "if she ate a bowl of 100% bran every day for a couple weeks she would be able to eat other foods.  She did and was absolutely delighted to have  Wendy's chili before she died.  She was always happy to go along when anyone suggested.

Mary Ann, congratulations on another Tock... they do come in bunches, don't they?

I don't know how these cats got started with people food, never had cats myself so did not realize they could get by on dry food.  Since they are inside-outside, I tried to feed them lots of food so they wouldn't catch birds.  Pet food commercials all try to say their product has the most "real meat"..... so I figured it best to feed them a variety of real meat, and canned cat food, & dry "complete".  They are spoiled, for sure.

Fitbit told me I got less than 3 hours sleep last night so another 2 hour nap this afternoon did not quite make for a good sleep, eyes are half closed right now.  All cats are accounted for so think I will just grab some zzzzzzzzzzzs while I have a chance.  Last night I dozed off early & had a call from my daughter.  We can solve the world problems in an hour so by the time I tried to go back to sleep, I was hungry.   Sweet dreams to all.   Shirley

It's been a pretty busy day here.  I went to church at 8 a.m. then stayed for coffee and cookies.  When I let there, I stopped by WM to get printer paper that I forgot the last 3 times I went shopping.  I was down to my last few sheets.

When I was on my way home, I got a text from my Texas daughter to let her know when I was home so she could call me.  I did and we talked for almost an hour.  Then my son picked me up and we went to my nephew's birthday party.  He was pleasantly surprised and we had a good time.  It was nice to reconnect with his family.

When I came home, my granddaughter whose Master's Degree participant I am, called and we talked for about an hour.  Then my daughter called and wanted to drop off some of her party leftovers for my supper.

After supper, I watched a little TV through my eyelids.  And that was my day and probably more than you all cared to share.  I'm tired and ready to hit the hay so I think I'll say...

Good night Everyfriend and may God bless us, every one!

P.S.  I loved ready about everyone else's day and also sharing some of your thoughts.  Stay close!
