Rick thanks, I am now using 10 but liked both my old favorites XP and 7 so will still look in.

Jack, Still playing with that Avatar. Not in yet. Have a photo over into my GMail. from my IPad. Its sitting on my desktop as a shortcut.  Run through instructions twice. Will play again later.Thought it said that it had worked but sure don't see it.

You have to select the actual image file, not the shortcut.

At the top of the page - clicp "Profile", then "Forum Profile".  Scroll down till you see "Please select your country". After you make your selection be sure to go to the bottom of the page and click "Change Profile".

Rammel. So that is my problem. using the shortcut.  Not it is still sitting on my GMail . how do I get it from there?  I am on W7 and no longer have the Manuel.  it belonged to the Library. Better get it back tomorrow. I had it out for 5 months.
My problem now is I have 2 many toys.  Should have stuck with desktop and Ipad.  Now use 2 other tablets for putting different things one. Just forgetting how to do from one to the other.

JeanneP - From your email you have to save it to your desktop (or some place where you can find it).
How to do that depends on what email program you are using.

You could try right clicking on the picture and select "Save As" if it's there. Then save it to your Desktop.

Save as JPG of course. It is easy to save from Gmail with a righ click on the picture.

I don't use my laptop with Win-7 much but did turn it on tonight.  I went to check for Updates and noticed it doesn't seem to be functioning right (or at all).

Is anyone else with Win-7 having this problem?

Now I still use W7 on desktop not seen problems other than I seem to have to keep signing in all the time now on lots of sites that could just do once. It will still at usual times tell me not to turn it off as it is down loading upgrades. I just let it stay on .ill sometimes say 2 and other times 4
I just don't do a whole lot on it anymore. Just search the Internet, library .e mail. Order on line shopping,forums I get in.check my medical chart . iTunes.. So nothing big. Covers most I need. Will watch it closer. My Facebook seems to act funny these days but lots are saying there's same.

From what I read it said (I think) that the "problem" didn't affect all win-7 computers.

How come some of the forums throw us Back to March 30. 2016. It is a pain trying to get to the current. This is one of them along with a couple of others. The rest will bring up current. Just clik on NEW for them. Maybe that is why no one in this topic for 120 days.

Im needing to replace my desktop that crashed awhile back.....don't need anything expensive....just a reliable up to date one....want another desktop.....Any suggestions?

I got with w10 and hate it. I don't do as much now on either my desktop or iPad. Doubt I upgrade anymore. People do everything on phones now. I miss the email days. Not into texting.hardly get any now. Back to reading more.
