Astro, your standardbred and sulky reminds me of when I used to see Max Hempt's standardbreds out in the field exercising or on the practice track. After he died, his family kept the business going for a while but eventually closed it down. The polo field is still there though, or was a few years ago. Used to go watch the polo matches too. Now the property is going to be sold off for the new fad of a planned apartment community with shops and such included. I assume the buffalo herd is gone or will be soon, too. That strip of the Carlisle Pike has turned into a bunch of car dealerships with Lexus and Jaguar leading the pack at planting cars instead of crops. Sorry, Soap box. This is what happens when I am without a computer for a few days.

Mars Gal;  The person you see aboard the sulky is my grandfather. He was always enamored with horses or anything horse related.  The pic is circa late 1800's and sulky racing is now but a memory here.  Thank you for your comment.
