The following two posts are for MaryPage in answer to Marilyne's request.

SMALLER THE GRANDCHILDRENa.jpg

HERE We have my thirteen granddaughters.  Yes, 13: and not one grandson!  Six are biological and 7 are step.  Adore them all.  Again, the occasion is at Debi's in 2019 for my 90th birthday.

Back row: Kathryn, Deborah, Joanna, Helaine, Angela, Christy, Melissa, Tracy, Paige, Judith.
Stooping over: Jenny, Maria, and Kim.

I am astonished at how clever they all are, and what astonishing incomes they command.  I also love their sweet, giving hearts.

I have two Big vice presidents: one of a bank and one an actuary with a big insurance company.  Two nurses.  One radio announcer.  Two teachers.  One owns her own business and one owns SEVERAL of her own businesses!

One works for a huge company whose name you would instantly recognize, and she flies all over the country showing surgeons in actual surgery how to use some of their inventions.  The best gift to me is that they like each other!  Everyone came from across and up and down this nation, and they swear they will appear again for my century!  How loved I am.  If you have love, you have Everything!

SMALLER THE GREAT GRANDCHILDRENa.jpg

I can do so with ease, but am not going to name them for you.  Only two of the 26 there were then could not make it:  in both cases, work related.

Now I have 28, with Miss Cleo the newest.  Here you can see we have become a multi-racial family.  I have 2 half black and extremely clever girls.  Two half Phillipine boys, and they are in a school for the gifted.  Four half Laotian:  3 girls and 1 boy.  Bobby is the tallest and Miles, being held by Bella, the shortest.

Emily, the blond right in front of Bobby is the oldest.  She is an architect.  Sam, right next to her, is still in grad school.  A music major and a cellist, he is also a composer, and a GOOD one!  Wouldn't you just Know: the most beautiful is a boy!

To bring it all together for MaryPage, The entire, at that time, clan.

The Entire Clana.jpg

I am over towards the right, standing up with Darling Mateo standing in front of me.  I look like I am chokeing him, but I am not!  I could not invite nieces, nephews, cousins, etc. because there just was not room.  Here are my 8 children, 13 grandaughters, 24 of my then great grandchildren, assorted sons-in-law and grandsons-in-law, and ME!  I have white hair and a blue shirt over white pants.  This is on the water at Debi's house.

Marilyne

Mary Page, what a large and lovely family you have!  I'm enjoying looking at each and every granddaughter, all the great grandchildren,  and the final picture of the entire family.
I've read your messages over the years, and now it's fun for me to put a face to a name.  The picture of you is good also - with Mateo holding your hand.  You look so happy and proud, and no wonder!
You said it right . . . "If you have love, you have Everything!

JaneS

I'm amazed!  What a great thing they did for your celebration!  Now you MUST stick around for 10 more years for the next one!

Thank you so much for that, Jane.  I am deeply in debt to Patricia for doing all of that posting for me.  As for the years left until my century, I will hit that mark on the 24th day of May in 2029.  Debi says they plan to have a get together even if I am ashes already!

But I have to say it one more time:  they came from Arizona and Florida and Missouri and Oklahoma and Georgia and Virginia and, of course, right here in Maryland, and I was just feeling my brain swirling all day long.  It was more than I have ever deserved, and I still feel the awe I felt on that occasion.
If I don't make it to my hundredth, I'LL BE THERE!

Good for you MaryPage! and you know what? In thought I'll be there as well!
Remember, if you feel somthing pulling your left earlobe, that will be me  ;D

I received a new snapshot of Lynn this morning, apparently she was in a radiant mood

This is adorable, Bubble! What a happy baby!

MarsGal

What a delightful picture of Lynn, Bubble.

MaryPage

My heart is still full of her big brother carrying her around like an old pro and quite obviously enjoying it!  What can be more dear or show proof of a real family than that!

While we may enjoy 24/7 daylight in the summer, not so in the winter as days and light grow perceptually shorter until December 21st, Winter Solstice.

Yes I did - it is still a bit big on her but winter just started.

Amy

Beautiful baby!! Sweater may be big on her now but just wait and see how fast she grows out of it!!

She is going to rule the roost, you mark my words!  Those adorable eyelids are closed now, while she dreams of all the things she will do to drive her granny and her mama and her big brother out of their ever-loving minds.  Been there.  Done that.

Really MaryPage? Where you that kind of a baby? LOL  I wish we could see baby pictures of you...

Marilyne

Mary Page,  I love the pictures - both the old and the new!    You look fabulous right now, for 94 years old!

so_P_bubble

what fantastic photos! MP you were always photogenic.

Tomereader, the Cowboys cannot be Your team, because my caregiver son Chip also calls them his team!

Chip's daddy, to whom I was married for 34 years until his death, was from Dallas.  Chip has been loyal to the Cowboys since he was still in diapers.  Chip, I mean: not his daddy.

I thank you for the compliments.  Too much!  Too much!

MaryPage

Marilyne, it is, of course, AI or artificial intelligence.  I am one of those who is a leetle bit antsy about it and hoping humans will be able to control it.
In the meantime, YES!  It will play anything you ask for.  One piece, and over and over again, if that is your wish.  Opera?
Okay.  The favorite song you had with the Love of Your Life?
Sure.  Just give it the order:  "Alexis, play Stardust."  You will have it right away.

from the local news: rocket falling through the roof in a supermarket in Ashdod. Scary!

Vanilla-Jackie

Bubble...
...that is one item not on anyone's shopping list..

Marilyne

Bubble - How close is Ashdod, to where you live?  Far from you I hope?

so_P_bubble

Far enough in the south, so that we don't hear or feel anything here. Life in the south is really unbearable these last months .
