It was a nice party and the pie is just about all gone!  It was nice to see all of you!

Now it's my plan to hit the haystack early tonight because I have another early meet up with Cooper tomorrow morning.  Frankie has to be to work at 6.  That means I'll be up at 5 and on the move....again.  But she's off for the weekend so I won't have him at all then.

Sleep peacefully and wake to a great day!  Don't forget to stop by and share it with us.  We need to hear how youre toing!  Gppd Night from me!

Good Morning Everyfriend!  Cooper is ready for his morning walk and he's making sure I know.  I keep telling him to watch for the daylight!  I don't walk in the dark!  I don't want them to have to come out and clean me up off the street.  I have enough trouboe seeing in the daylight without taking chances in the dark!

Enjoy your day, my friends and don't forget to let us know how you did that!  We're curious!!

Good morning

Starting off  at 45° but heading to the 80's here. Managed to get the grass cut last evening  and the trimming also done. That makes two less jobs to do today, will flip a coin to see if inside or outside work gets done.

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Good morning, 44 here, high of only 57, and hopefully the day will go as promised with the rain staying away until Sunday when it will rain through Tuesday. Snow mixed with rain is expected on the 26th.

RAMMEL

A quarter after eleven here now. The football game is over, so it's off to bed.

Goodnight anyone.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  Last night the Frankie's early week finally caught up with me.  I fell asleep sitting up straight twice and I gave up and went to bed early.  I sure hope she doesn't keep up with this going in at 8 in the morning.  I think I just might be getting old!

I'm going to see how today goes.  She's back on her usual schedule today!  I wish you all a good day.  Make it your own in every way!  And don't forget to share it with us.  We miss you when you don't stop by!

RICK, did your team win the game?

Jane, gettin up that early sure makes a long day for you.Must admit you get better pay than Frnakie, you get wiggles, wags, cuddles and doggie kisses. :)

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

For a change my selected team won. I pick a favorite for each game, as I do not favor any particular team. Usually the one closest to home.
I'm also not immune to falling asleep sitting upright. Have done that watching TV, and sitting here at my computer.

Happy Friday the thirteenth. Strangely, when I awoke and looked at my clock, it was 13 after seven. (I stay up late, but also get up late.)

Morning, another dreary, misty day...

JaneS

Good Morning Everyfriend!  I just noticed that I said Frankie was going in to work at 8, that should say 6.  I'd love 8 but it's never gonna happen!

I went to bed with a sore throat las tt night and it worse this morning.  I can hardly swallow!  I wonder what's causing it.  I don't feel sick, my throat is just very sore.  I can't eat anything and even the coffee is going down the hard way!  I'm just sitting here waiting for my first day of someone coming in to claean my house.  and I'm wondering if I should have cancelled it!  I'm definitely not going to get close to her!

RICK, that's a good way to pick who to cheer for!  I was always stuck with whoever my boys were rooting for!

AMY, the dinner sounds good!  Maybe I'll swing by later!

I wish you all a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow

Turkey pie didn't get made but maybe today it will. We settled on fish and chips with Phyllis's baked custard  made in the IP.

Jane, gargle with warm salted water.Hope you feel better soon.

Better get the day rolling..

Holy Smokes! I forgot to mark the turnover to the September Soda Shoppe, so I just now got finished reading all 72 posts.

On Thursday I had the post implanted, so all that is left is a check to see that it has  healed up okay enough to get the crown done. This coming Monday I go to get a cyst removed from the corner of my eye. Meanwhile, I've been doing the usual, tending the apartment and the cats, watching some TV and reading.

Thought I saw a deer down at the far edged of the woods, but by the time I got the binoculars out, it was gone. I have seen the groundhog several times. Shan discovered one of the local cats (looks well cared for) while sitting at the patio door. They both stared at each other a while until Shan started to talk a little which caused the neighbor cat to come up to the screen for a sniff. I haven't seen our local squirrels for a while until the other day. We now have a white squirrel scouting the area for things to bury and places to bury them. I have no idea where all the other squirrels from this spring went. The little sparrows that inhabit the yew bushes have been congregating as have the robins seem to have gone already, but I thought I saw a  bunch of sparrows whizz by the patio two days ago.

Good morning, no change in the weather, from the past few days. We're still expecting some snow mixed with rain on the 26th. Evidently, a wet weather pattern has stalled over the Interior and isn't moving. The south is expecting more rain.

Our Interior weather travels to and through Canada's Yukon territory, while southeast Alaska travels down through the Gulf of Alaska and further down the west coast. Alaska's southeast is part of the wet climate and rain country, along with Washington and Oregon.

Nothing on plans for today, morning chores finished as are meet and greets, my friend is hosting her son, and he seems to have realized she has no plans to move. Alaska is having a children's whooping cough epidemic. Covid is still active, but the majority are vaccinated.

And so on-and-so forth.

JaneS

Hello Friends!  My little cough turned out to be a case of COVID!  I felt awful all day today and Cathy moved in and out and called the dr. while she was here an showed up with filled prescriptions one of her visits.  New she's gone home for the night and I'm on m way to bed.  I can't figure out where I picked up my germs because I havent been anywhere since Church last Sunday!  I'm hoping it's a mild case.

I'm off to bed and then to see how I feel in the morning!

Have a good night's sleep and a happy tomorrow and make the day yur own in every way!  Nighty night!

Good morning..

Not a fan of this hot weather but it is to continue. Too soon it will be I don't like the bitter cold. No happy medium I guess.

Day of rest here..will do the normal morning routine of going out for coffee/tea with friends then home to...sew??

Jane, I am sorry you have covid, please get all the rest you can!!

MG.....wow, can you get a photo of that white squirrel? That would have been vey entertaining to watch the two cats. No sparrows here but more bluejays and the robins are hammering the berries off the mountain ash tree, soon it will be bare.

Patricia, please keep the snow your way..one of the jobs to be done is pull the snowblower out and give it a  check over.

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Amy, the only other time I saw white squirrels was when I lived just outside of Bethlehem, PA. There was a whole family of them. They lasted for maybe three years and then they disappeared.

Amy

Good morning..

Back to very humid days..starting at 52° and racing to the 80's. Baking today so thank goodness for a/c.

The weekend brought company we haven't seen in a while , nice to have a visit wih  them. Soon the one will have to put their 3 wheeled motorcycle away for the winter.

Jane, if you peek in I hope your soon over covid and wish you a speedy recouvery.

MG, interesting to see just how many albino animals there are.....this list didn't include the moose or the white bears on the BC coast but a lot of interesting ones.

Patricia, how is Farrah doing? My neighbours Callie is slowing down ,sleeping more now.  Hmmm so am I!!! :2funny:

Jane, I hope you are feeling better today and the covid will be short and mild.

Rainy here this morning and for the next few days.  And flooding. I just hope the house doesn't slide down the hill.  We are too high above the creek to flood but we could have a mud slide.

Take care,  All.

Good morning with a chill 39, I noticed yesterday that with the unusual rain, for September that we are already having morning frost, not only on the rooftops but everywhere. We've already had fall colors almost since the end of August.

I'm not ready for this accelerated fall weather, and extended rain. The last time, in 1967, with similar weather, we were inundated with floodwaters. Since then, they built Chena Lake to drain off the overflow from the Chena and four other rivers. I doubt that we're going to hold off the snow until the usual Halloween deadline.

Amy I doubt if you'd have any of our weather as it should move across and further north, but it would depend on Canada's atmospheric rivers weather movements. You don't sound in any danger of an early winter but keep in mind the provinces and area above Ontario.

Farrah recently turned 12 which makes her 64 in cat years, and the only differences I've seen is she no longer does the high jumps, five feet ones are fine. If you know Callie age, and MG, this should work for Oscar and Shan too;

"The first year of your cat's life is considered the equivalent of 15 human years. The second year adds nine more human years, so 2 cat years are approximately 24 human years. After this, each additional human year is four "cat years" i.e., age 3 will be 28 human years."

Jane, I'm so sorry to hear you have Covid and hope that you're feeling better and hopefully will be back to normal soon. Thank you for the Coleslaw recipe posting.

Here to everyone having a good day and a better week!

My daughter has a neighbor/friend, senior, who goes to church religiously (pardon the pun).  She and her other churchgoers have managed to get and give Covid several times (I recall her having it four times), but they won't mask up, so it's a never=ending cycle of sickness spreading throughout their congregation.
I feel so sorry for her, as it seems to get worse each time he has it, and she's 80-ish.

I won't be sorry to see this heat wave go away. Managed to get 4 doz tarts done yesterday plus Kyle's cinnamon roll. Laundry was done and needs to be put away today.Of course bean picking again!

One of the lads at coffee is out with covid.  We are on th waiting list for another booster this fall and I am finally going to get the pneumonia  shot.

Patricia, we have a heat blanket across Canada, all too soon it will be a frozen one . I only used the snowblower 3-4 times last winter......hope I am as lucky this winter but I doubt it.

Jane, hope you are feeling much better today.

Better get the day started.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  Cooper came and ate his breakfast and took me for a LOOOOOONG walk.  I wasn't planning that long but it was OK.  When I got home and gave him his treat, the chair called my name!  I was actually surprised that I didn't really mind the walk but I'm enjoying the sitting down!

I do feel a ton better today and thank you all for the good wishes!  I'm sure they helped!

Right now, it's in the mid 50s here and only heading for the mid 70s later today!

I wish you all a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow!
