Overcast but a tad bit warmer - clear and vegetable soup just was not enough and so I ordered a bunch of frozen pasta meals and more juice - hoping the permanent bridge will not involve hours in the dental office - still a bit done in and between napping at all sorts of irregular hours my night sleeping was hit and miss - settled in reading today wrapped in my pet blankets - I've two and they keep me snugly warm -

Been trying to keep alive two pots of oregano - so far so good however, the one pot looks less full and I may loose it - thought for sure I'd be able to plant them outdoors by now but I notice even the trees show no sign of life.

Like Punxsutawney Bob in Texas we have Bee Cave Bob, a nine-banded armadillo, predicting the Texas winter forecast on February 2. This year he did NOT see his shadow and so we are supposed to have an early Spring - we shall see what we shall see...

Well, here I am to say....Good Night Everyfriend! I had a busy day but tomorrow won't be so bad. The dinner I made for today had enough for tomorrow and a couple more days. And I made Jim's Egg Thingys so breakfast is ready and I have some leftovers for lunch. I still have some laundry to fold and put away and Cooper will be arriving a bit before 6 a.m. so the day will be off to an early start.

Other than walking Cooper and filling the bird feeder and putting the laundry away, I can't think what else I might be doing tomorrow. There will be a BIG newspaper to read! Since they stopped Sunday delivery, the Saturday paper has grown and it has three crossword puzzles and 3 wore games. So that will be part of my day.

Work around home and hope to do more sewing. The quilt I am working on has 875 pieces and as the song says I have only just begun.

Phyllis, is your snow still there ? Ours has made it impossible for me to hang laundry out

We lost a lot of the snow yesterday,
Amy, and will lose more today. The neighbor kids built a very small snowman and he is beginning to sag. I think I can hear a plaintive "I'm melting...I'm melting" coming from that direction.

Quiet day ahead....still trying to gather tax information and trying to coordinate with David about when he can help me finish the job.
Hope to get it done soon.

Good Morning Everyfriend! I didn't get by last night. I fell asleep during Perry Mason's first show and woke up in the middle of his second show and decided it was time to hit the hay! So I turned off the Living room lights, went to the kitchen and did the last minute stuff and down the hall to the bedroom! And for the first time in a very long time, I slept soundly all night! The alarm woke me to get up for breakfast and to greet Cooper's arrival this morning. It's gonna be a great day!

AMY, I'm not coming by for some of your snow! I have a wish out for an Early Spring and I'm not about to clutter it up with snow! Sorry about that but that's life for me these days!

PHYLLIS, even you had snow as far south as you are! This sure has been a long, hard, cold winter!

Now I'm watching for the daylight so I can let Cooper take me for a walk and then I need to get dressed and ready for church. It's been a while since I went but I'm going today and I'm looking forward to it!

Not as cold today with a temp of 24°. We did have a light dusting on snow but nothing at the moment to worry about.

Not sure what the day will bring.

Phyllis, your lost snow turned up here, we have so much snow that it was hardly noticed.

Jane,I do wish for an early Spring! Some folks are running out of room on where to put the next snow fall!!

I had a very nice day today! I had a ride to church and a ride home and the service was very rewarding. Then I spent the early part of the afternoon walking with Cooper and then lunch and then sitting with him until his Mommy picked him up on her way home from church. After that, I tood a short nap!

I also made up a shopping list. Cathy is taking me to WM to get my hair trimmed and pick up a few items tomorrow. Then when I come home, I'm going to get started on the vegetable soup. I'll cook it tomorrow and can it on Tuesday and I'll have that off my mind! I have 4 quarts promised to my church for the first Sunday soup sale and I usually take 5 quarts because there's a young gal who sells it and she always grabs a jar as soon as I show up at the door!

If I could get it there, I'd bring some to some of you. It's my Dad's recipe and he started selling it at the church MANY years ago. So I'm following a tradition!

Now I'm on my way to the haystack! And I'm hoping for an all-nighter again tonight like I had last night. I very rarely sleep all night without getting up at least once but last night I did just that! It felt great!

Starting out at 22° with the threat of snow!! We have more than enough snow here, not as much as those to the north west of us where they have a total of 18 FEET!! Can't imagine what the Spring run off will be like.

Better get some baking done and clean floors today.

Don't blame that snow on me, ANY and BUBBLE. My only wish is that it doesn't come down in my driveway and down the street where I walk with Cooper!

I got a new canner and I've bee trying to put it together this morning and it goes all the way until I try to close it to lock it and then it won't close! Am I stupid? I followed the directions at least a dozen times so far and I can't close it! Cathy doesn't can but she is good at following directions and doing stuff the right way so when she comes over this afternoon, she'll have to take a look at it.

Now I'm just going to forget about (if I can) until she gets here. That's not going to be easy because it's all over my dining room table!

Might there be something blocking it - to be sure you read all the Directions. A little piece that you must remove first.

A good Monday HELLO to EVERYFRIEND.

I thank you for the kind wishes for my second eye surgery AMY. The surgery went very well and now I have two matching eyes to see out of. I have felt much more need to rest this eye than I did with the first one. I am trying not to use this device any more than necessary. I often just sit with my eyes closed as it is soothing to them. I am doing the eye drops religiously as advised and find that I really look forward to putting them in for comfort.

Other than that we are just kind of taking it easy. We are hoping to start playing tourist soon as there are many areas we want to revisit here while we have the chance.

Well, Cathy closed the canner with no problem and when I saw her do that, I tried to open it and I couldn't. I guess I'm just weak in my old age. However, we made a daal for getting it open to use and then again to get the jars out. I think this might be my last batch of vegetable soup for the church's soup sale. Cathy says that as I'm putting this batch together, I should write down the recipe so I can pass it on to the next generation! So that's on my list to do!

Now I'm off to get some chores done and to make a run to the corner to the mailbox and see what the mailman left me. Continue your day.

Oh yes, I forgot...my haircut is done and the stuff is picked up from WM. On with the day!

Tra la... Last Thursday had a temporary bridge put in my mouth till the permanent one comes in - lots of work lasting just under 3 hours and when I went to bed that night I noticed my hair pick that holds my bun was gone - looked among my clothes and next morning when Paul called asked him to look in his vehicle - it was the last black one I had and being shorter than the rest I used it often. He suggested I look at my coat - well one thing and another the temporary bridge causing all sorts of issues and so Dentist called this morning and over we go - got everything straightened out and on the way out I asked the gal at the front desk assuming it would have been a cleaning service that found it and would not know what it was - looks like a black chopstick - and before I finished describing it she was rustling around her desk and under the keyboard voila she holds up my hair pick - I was happier to get that back than all what they did to make the temporary more comfortable.

Jane how special to have a unique family recipe but now the first generation to struggle with this new devises - if they just made things to copy what we have to replace but oh no - the new is said to be better but my thinking is whatever it is it is made in a way to cut costs and use as much plastic as possible compared to the things most of us have that used metal and wood, screws and washers, rods and springs - and lasted for years - and of course that is the problem - what we have lasted and lasted so they could not sell a new one to us every 3 to 5 years. I'm glad your daughter comes by and helps figure these things out and now it appears you'll need to ask her how to open and close the canner. Always something...

Denver so glad your eye surgeries have both worked out well - sure is a lift to our lives when you can see clearly and with all the colors intended - yes now that you can see so well travel is the perfect ticket while you can.

Oh my goodness SNOW in Israel - Bubble how often does that ever happen? Although looking on a map it appears Israel is a bit further north of the equator compared to Houston - I did not know that your at 3500 plus kilometers and we are 3300 plus and we experience snow every 5 to 7 years and so I guess it is not unheard of to have snow in Jerusalem or Haifa.

Well we are back into the 70s with the sun shining and everyone has a sparkle in their step again. whew - I'm thinking by the end of the week we'll be seeing a change in the trees.

I slept more today than I can ever remember - up late and then could barely function and back to bed for over 5 hours and up, ate and then fell asleep watching TV - and sleeping soundly - for a change no nightmares or anxiety filled dreams - just woke again and will be in bed within the hour - this is crazy but if I have a good full day tomorrow it will be worth it...

We left here at 6:30 for the 9:00 am appointment arrived at 8:40 ,didn't even get a chance to sit and Kyle was called in. Dr is so nice I know I felt confidence in him and his procedure of what is to come. Dr talked with you not at you

Managed to let Costco take my money but came home with everything (and more ) that was on my list.

Today is coast as we are off to the city tomorrow . I did manage to package up the tarts for friends to have and will deliver those today.

Good Morning Everyfriend! It's nice to see some of you back in the Soda Shoppe! I missed you all yesterday! Today I'm going out to lunch with the people I used to work with at Pennslyvania House Furniture way back before they left Lewisburg. We all stayed friends over the years and we try to get together for lunch once a month on the last Wednesday. There are still about 12 of us left and we usually have 8 to 10 who make it to lunch!

Cooper and I had our walk and it's still cold out there but it's supposed to make it to the mid 50s today. I do believe Spring is around the corner! AMY, please to not send the snow south. North of you would be the best direction!

Now I have to go get a shower and get dressed and do some odd jobs. I wish you all a great day. Make it your own in every way! And don't forget to let us know how you did that!

We will be enjoying another beautiful 70 degree plus day here in Prescott.

AMY, happy to read the drive to Kyle's appointment went well yesterday. Getting in right away and having a doctor talk to you, not at you, is great. Oh how we get sucked in to spending cash at Costco😂. We just go through the store a see things we have to buy that we didn't even know we needed‼️😘 After reading your post again I see you got everything on your LIST......and that is great‼️ IT takes willpower to not be tempted to buy more than you need.

BARB, thank you for your kind words about my 👁's doing so well. It is truly amazing the difference it makes for the clarity and bright colors. Even just looking up to the beautiful blue sky is a treat‼️

That's exactly why I don't post details about myself and my family! Maybe I'm wrong but I've always thought anyone in the world can read these posts; they just can't post unless they've registered!

"Spring has sprung" in central Oklahoma - at least for this week. Complete opposite from last week when temperature was hovering about Zero. Everyone, including me, is trying to catch up! Today is "lazy day" -the only day this week I don't have to be anywhere or somebody is coming.
