Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

The tree and the cat are so pretty.

angelface555

Gloria, Taffy is so pretty and so well behaved! Mine would be half way up the tree and everything would by catawampus!

Mary Ann

Gloria D, great you could get Taffy to pose.  She looks like a nice, friendly cat.

Annie's birthday is in January so last year I made a sign that said 'Happy Birthday, Mother" and got the cat on the top back of a chair, then put the sign in front of him.  It took a few tries, but we finally made it.  I call Annie Kendrick's mother.

Jack, you have another winner in your picture of the Carolers and your singing Golden!  Is that your home in the background?  Mimi looks as if she's very happy in her new home with you.

A belated Merry Christmas to all who visit this photo forum.  I've always been a complete Dud with photos although I have a nice little camera which my late husband bought for me years ago.  He took so many pictures with his cameras and I was often in them alone--usually some place we were visiting and/or exploring.  I have taken pictures of grandsons Alex and Nick--and then not getting them developed until several years have passed.

Sue (SCF)

P.S.  That's a very nice photo of Taffy, too.  She's a beautiful cat.

jackwv

Gloria that is a great photo and Taffy looks right at home.

Sue the home in the background is Oglebay Mansion.  I do very little decorating.

Shirley

Gloria, you do have a well mannered cat!  I have my table cloth on & Christmas dishes ready for anyone that stops by, to sit & munch.  Food, crackers & snacking things are put away until someone knocks on the door.  In the meantime I found that grocery bags placed all around the just sort of wadded up.... will keep the cats from thinking about jumping up to see if there is anything they could eat.  So far, so good.  Taffy is pretty & looks very regal guarding the Christmas tree.

Jack, glad your gr-daughter got back for a visit, is she enjoying her "big girl" job?  My gr-son (her age) has been waiting to put in his resume until his long time friend decides if he wants to move & share rent in CO... They both like to camp & hike and interested in a job strictly for location.

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas and thinking about a fantastic 2017.

Fe, What a charmer you are!

jackwv

Beautiful, looks like ready to dance.

angelface555

How can she be eight months already and also already to crawl? Cute little pixie!

Mary Ann

Sandy, Fe is a dear.

Lindancer

Sandy, what a beautiful little girl.

Sandy

Thank you all ...   Yes,  she is a good little girl too...   We took her out the other day,  good will hunting and grocery shopping and she never fussed once.     So she is good natured and fun to be with ....   only a few more weeks of her like this and then she will become a toddler...
and a different experience.

She is the only "baby" in my family now.
Time goes by so fast !!

Just a few odds and ends, before I get to the good stuff, felinity that is!    ::)

My magnet collection...I love the one that says, "If you must smoke, smoke salmon." And all the animals together for the summer Solstice.

I started to reply while ago & heard the door bell so shut down & lost without posting.  Got to make this fast because my computer had another update that has put it back to shutting off if the mouse is still about 3 min.  Did that once before & got it straightened out.   :tickedoff:

Sandy, Fe is a doll.... my little Kate is 5 months & kind of wobbly sitting up but is getting up on her knees & hands wanting to get right into the middle of her big brother & sister playing.  Not moving yet but sure has  the desire!

Love all your pics, Patricia.... think my fav magnet would be the solstice one.... and your baby has the coloring of Lauren but shape face & expressions of Tiger.  Tiger is my thinker.  Ah, the snow is gorgeous!  We are so dry I will have to take buckets of water to the little trees I had my boys transplant not long ago.  We have only had one shower since so I've had to do old time watering since #1 son "blew out" all the hoses & thinks they will split if I get water in them.  We never used to blow them out but he thinks his dad did & I didn't notice.  Anyway, a nice snow would solve the problem for a while~~  Great photos!

I'm thinking about an early to bed night.  Daughter leaves tomorrow but we still have another holiday & I plan to start putting away all the Christmas stuff tomorrow.  Still need to get the kids over to take candy from the tree, the one that has been here managed to tell everyone about the "candy tree".  Sure has been a busy week.

EDIT:  That is a neat carrier/cage, Patricia.  My daughter got one for Lauren before Cas died, but it is so small she can't stand up in it so have only put her in a couple times for a few minutes.  I have 3 of the big plastic ones that I use to get them into the RV & also lock them up when I put the slide out in & out, for fear they will get caught in the mechanism.  They finally realized they don't have to stay locked up long so don't fight me like they did at first.  Tom was so terrified of being in a cage he just went wild, upside down with all 4 paws on the grill of the door & would shred any mat or pillow inside.  Now he will even go in to take a nap (in the RV) as long as the door doesn't get closed.  He does not panic when I lock it, either, but can't stand it closed long.  For sure he is claustrophobic.  Love that last photo of Farrah.... "are we done yet, Mom?"

Thanks, Shirley, that carrier is so light and Farrah didn't like the few times I zipped her in to go somewhere, but she uses it as a den when it is in the living room.

She is short and stocky so she looks big but she only weighs seven pounds.

jackwv

Patricia a great group of photos.  Like the second for the snow photos, good to see lots of snow when I do not have to shovel.

Beautiful cat photos, and right at home.

Sandy

Great pictures,  Patricia!!!
Thanks for sharing them!

Fe is so cute, Sandy.  My first grandchild is now 35 and has two children of his own.  The time has gone by too quickly.  Can't take too many photos.

Angel, Enjoyed your photos, especially the one of Farrah peeking around the door of the carrier.

Loved seeing the pictures of your snow and your special Farrah.  She is a beautiful kitty and I am so happy that she settled in with you, ANGLFACE, and is doing so well.

SANDY, your little Fe is as cute as can be.  She is sure growing up quickly.

GLORIA de, Taffy is a pretty girl and looks so regal by the Christmas Tree.

JACK, so nice to see Mimi...she is a beautiful girl and I am so happy you have her.

Enjoy your Friday, everyone.

Sandy. She is a cutie.  I believe that children are way ahead of what ours where as babies.  the seem to sit up younger now. do everything ahead.

Great photos above. Specially the heavy snow one. Nice to look at but not to have to move it. So far we have been lucky.  Can expect it in next coming weeks.  Yuk!
