Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

Unfortunately I am not a Patriots fan,  but Fe can wear anything and I LOVE it....

Regarding the Superbowl,  IMHO,
Lady GaGa is terrific!
Plus I am thrilled that Atlanta is winning,
so far!!!!

I am not a fan of any sport unless I or a close one is participating, but yes, Fe rocks any look!

Here I go with another assortment of photos from last fall. These are the shoes I recently gave away. It's hard for me to believe I routinely wore three and four-inch heels while working.[attachimg=1]

This is mainly for Marilyn. Not too long ago she used one of Lee Boyle's prints in one of her graphics. He is the one who commonly paints the Indian maiden with the wolf, brave or horse. I like his son Colin better and have a few of his prints that he graciously signed for me over his signature at a show. The first one is one of his, (Sorry for the camera flash!); and the one following is a signed print from Steve Hanks, another favorite of mine. Many say Hanks's print is very restful.

These last are of my favorite model....You'd never believe she is a slim seven pounds from this angle.

I hate that couch, it was given to me, a sleeper so covers don't fit!

Oh boy, do I remember the " platform " shoes...did I really wear those? and did I actually run for the bus in them? the answer is YES I did...

Ha ha, we do allow our fur friends to take over our homes, dont we? It wouldn't be a home if we didn't...

Sandy

Great Photos Patricia....

A few great pillows and a couple of throws should cover up most of that couch....

Really good pictures of your sweetie cat.

Patricia like the paintings but more impressed with the photos of your pet making herself comfortable.  I have a good cover for the day bed but do not use.  I have several throws and Mimi just fluffs them up, and I leave them that way.

Mary Ann

Patricia, those two photos look like they could be of the same person, front and back.

Farrah is in the same poses that Kendrick takes.  He has not gone for my pillows, thank goodness, but he lies most any place else.  I put an old towel on my bed the other day and he lies on that now.  He musses it up, but I don't care.  He's there right now.

Patricia, Love the pictures of your cutie pie.

MaryAnn, I had a quilted wall hanging of a cat, I now have it on the corner of the bed, and Taffy has claimed that as hers.

We are in the mist of a blizzard, right now, I cannot see out the west side windows. Please pray the power does not go off, I do not know what I will do.  Suppose to go down to the teens to night.  Yesterday got up to 59

Gloria, hope all goes well with you and the weather.  We just had several inches of snow, the lights flickered but no power outage.   Pretty outside but do not know if I will head to the park later.  Mimi likes the snow, here is one photo of her up on an old agility table I kept.  She enjoys sitting up on it.

Mary Ann

Jack, I'm always glad to see a picture of Mimi as she resembles Cadey, my nephew, Tom's, dog.  You don't read other folders where I post, so I'll tell you we have twin girls in the family, born Tuesday, Feb 7.  They are not identical.

Gloria D, our temperature this morning was 15 degrees, went down to 14 and now is about 15 or 16 again.  Tomorrow is to be 40.  We can't win, can we?

Sandy thanks for posting the photos for Mary Ann, and Mary Ann God bless them, you are so fortunate to have family.  My only granddaughter is now 22, but special.

I have probably mentioned in prior posts that I may look in the conversational folders, but do not post.  I have an ongoing problem with remembering names, health issues etc.  Hard to keep up even in photos.

Sandy

You are welcome,  Jack.

You should jump in where ever and talk...

I have a major problem with short term memory issues,
but I figure "I am sure someone will remind me if I post too much of the same thing...    and forget a lot of what is going on prior to my posting.

Such is life in the "Senior Lane" ...

Sandy, thank you so much for posting the pictures of the girls.  With all of the paraphernalia on them, it is hard to see what they look like.  I wonder why there is something around their ankles.  The picture of Kelly, Fe and Cliff is great.  Fe has the nicest smile; I love it.

Jack, feel free to post anywhere.  Norm's Boat & Tackle is still around; there are fewer of us than in the Soda Shoppe, but in both places, we have a lot of fun.  We don't care if Sandy (or anyone else) posts the same thing more than once.  My problem is:  did I write this before - and where?  I have a tendency to be long winded as anyone can tell.  The more the merrier, so come join us.

Thanks for the comments on my feline roommate! And yes, Jackie, I once could do anything in those type of shoes! I do now use a lightweight sleeping bag to cover the couch. And MaryAnn, I've always felt Farrah is similar to both Kendrick and Gloria's Taffy in behavior.

Jack, Mimi looks like she is surveying her kingdom! They do like to be high, don't they?

MaryAnn, I saw the photos on Facebook and one of Anne/Cate as well with the babies and what must be the other side of the family? Those children are special and judging from Johanna's lit heel;  I wonder if it's a type of monitor?

Gloria, I hope you are doing well in those cold conditions and that the power stays on. I know that you have wonderful neighbors who would be right there if they knew you were in need.

Sandy, Fe is a jubilant babe with a big grin! And Cliff certainly looks a sweetie too!

Jack, do what feels comfortable, we're just glad to read about you and Mimi. And to receive your help and comments along the computer and filming lines.

Mary Ann. Good photo of the twins.  That is a good size for Premi. They will get to be taken home soon.  Now my one granddaughter was  born at 1 pound 9 oz. she was in awhile but you should see her now at age 11. never had a health problem at all.

Sandy.  Having a new baby and a new puppy. Will be like handling twins. Nice photo.

Today

I am staying home.  We got some snow last night, not much but enough to cover my car.  Sun is out now so maybe clean it off.

Don't want to drive anyway.  After doing the MRI last week the have me on 2 diff drugs that are really making me tired and a little sick feeling.  Trying to take care of that nerve problem I have had for quite awhile down the left side of left leg.  Strange thing.  4 Dr. so far have been involved in this thing.

Great photo with Mimi Jack. Our snow looks a lot like that.  Think I will put on a big jacket also and walk while the sun out.  Should have a dog so would have to do that all the time.

Unbelievable as to how many phone calls we are getting now from Solicitors. worse than in the past.  Times I wish I didn't have a home line.  Even one I have  use or have their serve call to see how the service is . Answer a survey.

JeanneP, multiple births (twins included) are not considered "premature".  When I had my twins (56 years ago) they told me that twins can be born 4 -6 weeks early and mostly they are small but not preemie size.  Although they can be as small as a preemie.  Mine together weighed 10 pounds and 10 ounces and were born 4 1/2 weeks early.  I don't think I could have carried them to the predicted date standing up.  That's a lot of baby!

The twins weighed about 7 1/2 pounds together.  Tom sent me a couple other pictures, one is of Alicia holding one of the girls and the other is of one of the girls without the CPAP.  She's cute, but at this time looks like a newborn baby!  The estimate is that they will be in the hospital for another possible six weeks, at least until they reach five pounds.  They are breathing fast and that is improving.  Tom is going to the hospital tonight and Jamie will go with him to the Neo Natal ICU.

Things sure are different now; when Tim, Tom and Terry were born in the 1950s, I could only see them through a window in the nursery with a nurse holding them.  By the time James was born in 1989, he was in the room with his mother and I saw him on his second day and I fed him formula then.  Of course, if these babies were full term, people could see and touch them.  Oh well, my turn will come.

Tom and I went grocery shopping, or I should say he did.  We ate at Subway in the Meijer store, then I stayed in the booth while Tom shopped.  I don't have the stamina to walk around any grocery store and this worked out well.  Subway was not busy and there were other booths and tables empty; it was around 2 pm.

Kendrick was a good boy while we were gone and the TP was in place.  He gets plenty of exercise when he races around here like scared cat.  He ends up at his scratching pad and really works out on it.  He is a big cat anyway but I don't think he is too big for his build or age (3 1/2).

Mary Ann

angelface555

My vet told me a healthy weight for cats was between 9 to 12 pounds and wants Farrah to eat more. I said "Good luck with that!" She is very stubborn like most cats, and she is small and very stocky, or I should say compact. She also does more leaping about and with less eating, remains right around seven pounds. She feels heavy when I pick her up, so I'm not complaining.

She is also helping me with my diet. If I bring something out to eat, she comes and sits by me to watch me eat. I offer her something, and she sniffs the offering. Then she crinkles up her face. Looks up at me as if to say, "You eat that?" I find it hilarious that she always comes over and leaves thinking I'm crazy!  ;)

Beverly

Hello everyone! I've had a long absence from S&F (self-imposed) but Mary Ann's twins have brought me out!  :) Congratulations to James and Alicia! I like their names. Wouldn't Norm have been thrilled with this!! I have to believe he is looking down on all of you with a big smile!

Sandy - Your g-granddaughter is so cute and Kelly's puppy is adorable. A perfect "friends forever" picture. So glad you are smiling again!

Jack - I am loving the photos of Mimi. She must be so happy to have such a cozy home with you. You made a good choice in adopting an aging golden. A friend of mine had a black lab she adopted at the age of 12, which not many would do.

Angel - Farrah is beautiful.

Don and Bubble -  You two look like you're having a wonderful time.

Beverly

Looks like I scared everyone away.......I'm glad to be back, anyway.  :)

Sandy

Hi Bev....

I haven't been on much today...  we got quite a storm and tomorrow more on the way.   Typical February,   can't complain....

I can't believe that my daughter Kelly is a Grand Mother now......   where has the time gone?

What have you been up to?    I hope that all is well.

Bev  Guess it is the weather, but it has been quiet in here.  I travel from the Frig, to the computer and tv.  Good thing I have Mimi to keep me company and a bit active.  Here is a photo taken today at the park, and I posted a short video in the discussion that was taken today, I simply walked and followed her around.

Beverly

Sandy - There's been a lot going on in my life lately......The best of which our son Michael and his wife Jennifer were here for over a week. We had a wonderful time.  They spent some time looking at houses but I don't think they're ready to become "snowbirds" yet. Michael retired a year ago and Jennifer plans on retiring in 2018.

Jack - Mimi looks so happy to be in the snow! I've been following the weather up north and I don't envy them a bit.  :)
