Jane, my daughter was visiting today, and we ordered out.  I had the craving for eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy.
She just wanted a Big Tex BLT, and boy was it Big.  Everyone talking about doing laundry:  Well, sad story.  The other night my dryer quit working, a friend/neighbor kindly dried the load for me. So Yesterday I was washing another load, and my washing machineQUIT on me.  I have a service policy on this, but not on the dryer.  Can any of you believe it is nearly impssible to find a business that does appliance repairs. I guess everyone just tosses out the old ones, and buys new.  I can't do that.

Hi Gals. I'm so sorry the Covid hit you so hard, Jane, but since you have had so many cancer treatments, your immune system may be down. Hope you're getting over that fatigue by now. It does last a while though. Hope you enjoyed your big breakfast.

I finally got my Covid shot last week, so hope I won't get it again.

I wanted to tell you all that Marilyn had to put Keith in Memory Care recently, as she could no longer take care of him. Her vision has gotten so bad, she has a care giver come in part time to help her.

I have seen Jeanne post a couple times recently on FB. She said she had had vision problems too, but the doctor cured it, whatever it was.

John had some sort of spell last week when I was at the clubhouse. Lots of different symptoms that lasted about 6 hrs and carried over as a woozy feeling for a couple days afterwards. Scary! Our primary dr. is coming Thursday to check both of us and he has an appt with the cardiologist Fri. As soon as we get a referral to a neurologist, she wants him to see him too. This is unusual for him as he is pretty healthy except for his glaucoma.

I just finished typing my Christmas letter and also finished the Dec. issue of my newsletter. Nothing else much going on with me. Mid 60's this week.

By the way, what has happened to Patricia? She hasn't posted for a long time. Did I miss something?

Stay well everyone and stay warm. (I've got my cords out too, Jane.)

Darlene....Glad to hear you're getting some heat relief.  Here "Memory Care" is a facility or part of one that is for dementia patients.  Here the one for those who are mobile, is locked and the one for those bed ridden is a section of the regular nursing home.  The cost is higher than a regular nursing home situation.  Here in a small town in a rural area of Iowa and not part of a commercial owned facility, the cost for a year is in the $100,000 range.

Sherry...sorry to hear of John's spell.  I hope you can get him to the specialists he needs soon.

Thanks for the info on Marilyn.  She's sure had her hands full with his care for quite a few years.

Tomereader...you must have the same cravings I do! :idiot2:  :2funny: It sure was good.  YIKES on the washer and dryer.  You may find the cost of any repair is as much as the high cost of new units.  I'm told they're only built to last less than 10 years.  Sad, but true.

I hope Patricia can check in soon.  I, too, miss her posts.

Tomorrow I have to drive to CR for two appts dealing with my hearing aids.

Then nothing until the Wed. before T'giving when I have another cystoscopy, but they bring the equipment and can do it here at the local hospital.

It's quite windy here today and the temps to fall and then tomorrow is "welcome to winter" with highs in the low30s and below 28 at night.

Nothing  else new here.

Stay safe and healthy.
