Beverly - Good to see new photos of James and Beverly! :)  Wonderful that you will be seeing them, and Keani, at the end of the month.  I'll be looking forward to more pictures.
Just saw the one of Keani . . . he is adorable!

Beverly, how precious they are!!!

Beverly, I'm sorry, and I corrected my spelling. We have a young Kian in our family, so I'll have to be more careful next time. Sarah, my niece, was here at a funeral, so I didn't really connect with her, and now she's married and living in Idaho.

Keani is adorable with that mischievous grin, and what a difference a month makes!

Jane, you should see if any collectors want your stash of buttons.......could be worth something to a collector.

Beverly, did I ever thank you for the photos of the twins & Keani?  I am so absent minded lately I can't remember what or where I say anything. The twins are looking more alike & James seems to be catching up with Beverly with looking ornery, such a darling pair. And little Keani looks like he could take on the world single handed! What a doll.  Glad you will get to hug & squeeze them pretty soon.  I've been staying clear of my gr-grands because they are all in school now & catch everything. We know that anything they bring home can spread because the "bug" will go thru the entire family .... and I sure don't want anything else after the Thanksgiving bug. Thanks for sharing the little ones!

Jane, we have a River Festival every spring & the buttons have become collectables so I've passed along what ever anyone wants. Hard to part with the treasures we collected just because WE wanted them. I have lots of little porcelain pretties that appeal to the greats but their mothers don't want them to dust around! The box to donate is getting bigger and bigger! I wanted to have a monster garage sale this past summer but the kids had a fit about me doing it alone & nobody had the days to spare to help. Ah, well....

Better have my breakfast & get this day rolling. I haven't gone to church for several weeks because I'm exhausted trying to get inside, I figure God understands....

Oops, forgot to post this so now the time is 1:05 pm & have kids thinking it's time for me to talk to them!  Piled the laundry basket full so will need to make 2 loads out of it.  Some bulky sweatshirts joined the dark slacks. ONWARD!

Keani is adorable! He looks like a miniature Country Gentleman, in that well coordinated outfit.   Love those shoes!

Beverly

His Mom says he loves the hat and the suspenders he's wearing under the vest!  :)

patricia19

He really is into fashion, as most babies and kids seem to hate hats.

Amy

What a sweetheart!! He makes your heart smile!

Beverly

Thanks for the comments on Keani!

Patricia - His Mom took a series of pictures, and said when the hat fell off he'd say "Uh, Oh" and try to put it back on.  :)

JaneS

He is absolutely adorable!

The pins are all gone!  Someone right here in town took them!  One thing my kids don't have to deal with when I go!

Beverly, I have a feeling that he is going to be somebody in twenty to twenty-five years!

Shirley

Keani is darling and got to say reminds me of my Andy at that age. I have a photo taken of him wearing HIS hat while sitting on the picnic table practicing whistling. He wore that had for months all day, every day. Too bad I don't have a copy of it on the computer. We are fresh out of little ones to make over here... youngest is 7 or 8. One a little younger that lives back east. Thanks for sharing yours, Beverly.

Congratulations, Jane. I would like to find takers for some of the porcelain pretties I collected from estate & garage sales. Some are collectables but I didn't pay much for any (a dollar was usually my limit). I hoped to have a garage sale last fall but didn't happen so not sure what will happen to them after I'm gone. I offered to the great grands & a few things went to the 3 in town.

I don't go out of the house much and since I like "growing stuff" around me, I started collecting small cacti. They don't require much water and this gave me the idea of planting them in nice porcelain cups. I have five for now and it looks very pretty. I'll have to take a photo.

Here is a photo of the wind mills on the Golan Heights

Bubble, what is farmed in those fields?
Looking forward to seeing your cuppa cacti

I have no idea what is on those fields, but the Golan is famous for its delicious apples and the cherries that are only grown there because they need that cold winter.
The famous Golan wines are probably made from local grapes I believe.

I'll try to take a picture of the cacti tomorrow - if there is enough light.

FRom CNN:
Thousands of cranes rest along Israel's Agamon Hula Lake as part of their seasonal migration route from Europe to Africa.

Bubble - Love your cacti display, and the various containers they're planted in!  I'm a collector of flower pots, and other pottery, so you gave me some good ideas.

I am still looking for some more small cups. It seems that everyone drink in mugs only and that is too big for my cacti  >:(
The ones I found were discarded because of broken handles or chipped rim.

patricia19

Bubble the plants and cacti look healthy and well cared for. Mine are a bit scraggly this time of year. Of course, I recognize the spider plant and the jade, but not the larger one to the left.

We have two types of cranes that breed locally. The largest is the sandhill,  "The cranes that summer on the Alaska Peninsula, and the Cook Inlet region, winter in central California. They are two distinct groups and the larger group stays in the interior of the state while the smaller resides in southeast Alaska. In the Tanana Valley, during peak migration, you'll see up to 50,000 birds per day."

"The Mid-Continent Population has received a lot of attention in Alaska for several reasons. These are the cranes most Alaskans see because there are so many birds and they nest over such a broad swath of the state. Members of this population rest and refuel at Creamer's Field in Fairbanks during their spring and fall migrations, and at their peak several thousand birds can be seen. Fairbanks honors these birds with the annual Tanana Valley Sandhill Crane Festival each August."

Shirley

Love the cacti in the cups, Bubble, and you are so right about most drink from mugs now. My little miniature cups & saucers are too small, came from an aunt that traveled a lot & did not have any kids to give to. My problem is the dark tinted storm windows. During summer I can put plants by a sliding door & leave the storm door open so they can survive, but this year the spiders (outside) were so bad I didn't do that so the plants I had in a back bedroom have died. Been watching the news and hope you are safe. I will send you the photo of the robin, think Jan.29 probably the earliest I've had one come. I will send without resizing & think it keeps data intact, doesn't it?  E-mail tomorrow.

Thanks for posting, Bubble, great job. I think I counted 10 pair of doves in the tree that time but do have 6 pair of regulars & sometimes an even dozen. Couldn't get a decent shot of the robin, a leaf or gum ball kept the camera from focusing. (I just use auto everything).
