Oldiesmann: Relevant links can be found in topics in the Homemaking, Food & Garden board. I'll see about moving them over to articles here when I get a chance.

I've never before see a bib like that. Ingenious!

so_P_bubble

it is called a "pelican bib" and can be found in Ikea stores.

patricia19

A friend's great-grandson often visits and has that bib. His mom bought it on Amazon. Aden also eats by hand, stuffing everything in his mouth. He is also very stubborn, wants to do everything himself, my friend says. I'm not sure how old he is, but I believe from sometime around Thanksgiving.

I am enjoying all of the pictures and comments.

AMY, I saw the darling kit immediately‼️ How cute the way he is peeking around.

BUBBLE, I sure love seeing your grands.  Hard to believe that Aviv is starting high school already.  My only granddaughter is starting high school this year too.  Also very happy to hear your son and wife are going to have a baby.  Heartbreaking to read that the two children do not communicate.......that is so stressful to you, but it appears you are on top of it and try not to step over the boundaries. I get myself in hot water all the time for slipping up and saying something someone (children) takes offense to. UGH‼️‼️ I am a communicator, but sometimes I wish I were not😩.

That Pelican bib is something else.  My 2 year old grand had something just like that and it did a pretty good job of catching some stuff....but the high chair seat was still full....and of course the floor also had plenty.  😘😘

It seems these day they can almost tell if one is pregnant the day after‼️🧐
When you find out so many things early there is nothing to wait for and I feel the pregnancy lasts for ever.  Just my thought.  And they test and scan right from the get go....

An outing at the sea shore.
There was an instructor teaching the kids about what life can be found in the water and here is a sea urchin.

After the lesson was the time to rest.

Bubble, I remember a time when I thought Aviv was older, and you replied he wasn't. Now, when I thought he was younger, you tell us he's older!  ::)

He seems to have worn himself out.

It was a very good visit today: Lynn was in an excellent mood. A new trick of hers: she was trying to put her finger in my nostril, then raising it was making a gesture "no, no, no" while looking at me.
She also learned how to pucker her mouth for a kiss and making the appropriate noise.

MarsGal

Super smiles from you both!

patricia19

What a lovely photo, and as MG said, such great smiles!

Marilyne

Great photo of both of you.  Lynn looks like she'll soon be walking?

so_P_bubble

Holding a hand, Lynn started to walk, but she does not venture alone yet. She does stand free alone for a minute or so and then folds down to the floor.  It's fun to watch!

Amy

I agree with Patricia and MG on the smiles. Making beautiful memories.

Beautiful little girl!  And grandma's no slouch either!

Hope you are well, and safe and enjoying those good things in life!

Is it "l'chaim" ?

so_P_bubble

l'chaim" literal meaning is "to life" and is used when cheering with a glass of wine.

We try to concentrate of small daily life joys and keep worries of war at bay.

patricia19

That fits in with what I've heard before, that it's plural rather than singular.

so_P_bubble

"chaim" in Hebrew is the word for life. You are correct Patricia, it is a plural. Life in Hebrew is plural. We probably have several lives...

patricia19

I'd seen the salutation before when I was looking into Hebrew words for Jewish holidays. I took it to mean the type of life, as in good or bad. Or the different moods on different days.

He: I love you.
She: like the adults?
He: No, for real.

Lynn had her first "free walk" today!
I wish I could post the video here.
These images are taken from the video.
Lynn will be a year old next month.

Sandy

How cute. That little girl is off to discover the world, on her own terms.

I hope that you are doing well,  Soapy!

So sweet!! No stopping her now!!! Seems the year has passed on flying wings!

Thanks Sandy - I do my best to remain OK!
And yes it is fun to observe Lynn exploring new things, discovering her surroundings for or by herself.

so_P_bubble

Yes Amy, and now soon will start the trial of teething. I don't look forward to that, although with Illy it went without problem. With Eitan it was weeks  of non-stop crying, fever, and exhaustion for all.
I live on the 1st floor of a building and often my dear neighbor from the 5th floor would come down in the morning, saying that she had heard the cries the whole night and she would take him for an hourlong walk  in the park to allow me to rest.

patricia19

Bubble, what a good friend your neighbor was to do that for you and your son!

Look at Lynn go, she's free styling! That cheeky grin. Adorable.

It's difficult to believe that it'll be a year next month.

so_P_bubble

Yes, that year went very fast: so full of events too.
Now Tany's wife is expecting, still at the very beginning. I never dreamed I'd see more than one grandchild.  Future is sure full of surprises!

so_P_bubble

whatever happens (befalls us?), we have to accept it.

phyllis

You are so wise, Bubble, but acceptance isn't something that comes easy to me.  I love seeing the pictures of you with your adorable grandchildren.
