Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

Sandy, cute pictures of Fe and Cliff.

Sandy, I agree with everyone before me, lovely sweet photos!

Vanilla-Jackie

They look so comfortable in each others arms...

Sandy

Thank you everyone for the nice comments about my pictures of Cliff and Fe....

I too,  would love to have a puppy  like that...   but I
live in the heart of the city and it would be a chore that I choose not embark upon at this time.

Maybe I will get to baby sit the pup when Kelly takes her trip to Europe in a few months.       That would certainly cure me of having a bad a case of "the Wants" ...   lol

Sandy, those pictures made me smile, and made my day. The would make a cute calendar.

Sandy, that is a great idea that Gloria had. You could have one of all family photos for 2018, or simply one of Fe and Cliff. What a great family gift idea and one for yourself!

No doubt in my mind, I think someone has found a buddy for life.

I wanted to put this list here primarily for Jack. There is a much wider list for all breeds of dogs but this one is about working dogs and yes there is always that special one you have that is smarter than all the rest!  While the 10 breeds are consistently faster to learn (they can learn a new command in less than 5 seconds) and more obedient (they obey 95% of the time), Coren did mention a loophole. There are exceptions in every breed, he said, and a lot comes down to proper training.

01  Border collie
02  Poodle
03  German shepherd
04  Golden retriever
05  Doberman pinscher
06  Shetland sheepdog
07  Labrador retriever
08  Papillon
09  Rottweiler
10  Australian cattle dog

Patricia, thanks.  The Goldens have always been at the top of the lists. Great in Obedience, but more importantly great with children, and love to please.   Here is my 8 year old 70 pound, Mimi, she is my 4th Golden.  Have only had her 3 months and she is training me.  She sleeps on her bed, the day bed, sofa and my regular twin bed.   When I shower she is on the bed shown, but when I come out she has taken one of my shoes downstairs, think she is telling me she wants to take a walk.  Yesterday I hid my shoes and she took a pair of my shorts downstairs.  At least she makes room for me at night on the day bed  (no photos :))

angelface555

Jack, regarding taking stuff downstairs, at least she's consistent!  ;D

She obviously wants you downstairs, hmmmm.

JACK...
...Is she taking over the home?.... ;)

Now where have Sato, Sachiko and Paul gone? I remember we had a Paul....I do so miss their photos of their homeland...this has to me be my favourite room, this and the video clip room......I do hope that both are doing well and will soon be back with us posting as they once did regularly a few years ago...not too sure if Paul rejoined as a member with us, if so I haven't seen any postings from him for a long time...all photos and videos were full of interest, and of sharing learning techniques.... I do so very much enjoy seeing all photos that come into this room...

Jeanne Lee

:2funny: Jackie, "Paul" is Pat Scott Halbach's husband.   He is a registered member but doesn't post very often - doesn't like to type.

Jack, Mimi looks like she was made for that quilt or quilt made for her!  Nothing like a best friend to keep warm with, huh?  She looks like she is thinking about how nice life is right now.   :smitten:

This afternoon I opened the garage door to call Mama Callie just in time to see Roxie (Ger.Shepherd that just lost her "Dad" in a motorcycle accident).... being walked from the dog park by her "Mom"..... bet it was the longest and saddest walk...ever... for both of them.  Roxie was not prancing and her other human was looking straight ahead, no joy in either's stride.  Heart breaking to say the least.

Anyone knows that bearded one?
He likes his comfort, don't you think?  LOL

Looks like Don knows to keep the lid down

Not sure that would be my first choice for a tray table.   :2funny:

Now folks, that's how you recycle.    Rofl

Vanilla-Jackie

Hm not too sure what to say.....just dont pull the chain, otherwise his dinner might disappear.. ;D

so_P_bubble

I am sorry to disappoint you all, but this is NOT Don!   :2funny:

Just a photo from the net.  Too much hair to be Don; I'll admit there is a resemblance.

FlaJean

I didn't think it looked like him!

Mary Ann

I didn't think it looked like Don, either, as Bubble said, too much hair.  The face didn't look like Don either, but cameras fool you sometimes.

Mary Ann

Vanilla-Jackie

Have to admit I had my doubts too...  ;D

I am relieved that my reputation is intact.  :D

Bubble and I went to the town square today on this sunny but cool day and took a few pictures'

Radioman34

Of course there is always that uncontrolable urge to pull my beard. :D

Mary Ann

Don and Bubble, great pictures of the two of you.

Mary Ann

Vanilla-Jackie

Ahh the real Don has shown himself...good to see the pair of you out and about, and certainly enjoying each others company.....Now isn't there a song that goes....." Love is in the air..." and " Cant take my eyes off you..."

Radioman34

Jackie there are so many songs to fit the occasion :smitten:

But to keep reality on the burner, there are always concerns that have to be met: case in point, shelters like this in the event of an aerial attack.
