Lovely photos, Sachiko.  They are really large hydrangeas.

jean, thank you very much! 3,000 hydrangeas of 80 kinds are in full bloom in Jinguji temple. There were the hydrangeas which I had never seen so far.

When I got up in this morning, and I looked at my garden, it was seen that a lot of Princess Marguerites which I uploaded in Reply #501 bloomed. I took the photos at once. But, I cut it and arranged it in my vase as all flowers became near the full bloom.

FlaJean

Your roses are so pretty, Sachiko.  One of my favorite flowers.

Mary Ann

Sachiko, that is such a pretty rose, so dainty and delicate.  Even though you cannot take trips, you have a lovely yard of flowers and you can walk in your own yard.

I hope others were able to see the freighter leaving Grand Haven this morning.  I think there is only one place to go - the Aggregate Company - but I'm not sure.  I'll ask Tom because he spent a lot of his youth at Grand Haven when Norm and his first wife had a boat at one of the marinas.

MaryAnn, I saw it and was very surprised to see it leave via the tugboats. I wasn't expecting to see it there. I posted about it in B&T.

Sachiko, you walk in beauty and I envy you. Such lovely hydrangeas and now those roses!

Mary Ann

Patricia, I thought I made that post in B&T.  I'm glad you saw it.

It must be cold up in Deluth as all the people on the walkway wearing heavy clothing to day. Also looks like the water is coming over the area. Lake is high.

Jean, Mary Ann, angelface, JeanneP, thank you very much for your comments.
Mother of my husband planted the flowers in the garden in Fukuyama. And it is wonderful that they bloom every year. I take those photos and it is wonderful that they bloom every year.

JeanneP

Sachiko.  Now I like the way you say it.  "Mother of my Husband". Do all say that in Japan'

I never did like the way it is in US and I believe UK also. It is  "My mother in Law"  Always sounded like it was a Legal Thing to me.  Like when you married a man you had to consider his mother your mother.
JeanneP

Sachiko3

JeanneP, I'm sorry! I learned mother of my husband at school with My mother in Low, too. Thank you very much.

Sachiko3

Princess Margaret of the rose which I arranged in my vase, I put it on the table in our living room.

JeanneP

They look perfect in that small vase. Love those pillows. Are they machine done or hand. Like the colours.

Sachiko, lovely roses in a lovely living room!

FlaJean

Sachiko, I like the way you have arranged the roses so each one can be seen.  Those pillows are lovely.

That is A beautiful Area.  I love all of the Western part of the US. Need to get back there again.

JeanneP, angelface, Jean, thank you very much for your comments!
I bought these two pillows. And, about this table center, I embroidered it on a thin hemp cloth by my hand by embroidery thread made in France.

Sachiko3

J R Weems, wonderful scenery! I have visited the Western U.S. only once. I remembered the scenery.

Lindancer

JRWeems, you have taken such beautiful pictures, the colors are outstanding. Yesterday I watched a program about our National Parks, it was so interesting.
When i was in Las Vegas about 25 years ago, I had a chance to go to the Grand Canyon or on the Colo. River gambling, and seeing the Hoover Dam.  I choose the gambling. I have been sorry ever since. Now at 92 I know I will never have another chance.

Sachiko, the photos of the roses are just beautiful. Please take care.

J R WEEMS

THANK YOU one and all. We haven't been to all of them but between us we have seen many, including National Seashores and Monuments. Some, several times. Being married for 49 years and counting, we both love to travel and are only somewhat limited by my health. I think our biggest disappointment was Denali in Alaska. We were confined to some old school bus and everything was clouded over.
Ms. Sachiko, while I love the Roses, I am drawn to the vase- Jade?, and to the table- I am a retired woodworker and beautiful wood always gathers my attention. :) Just LOVELY-- everyone here is so kind. :)

angelface555

Good Afternoon, Mr. Weems.

I'm afraid that Denali is almost always clouded over as it's tall enough to make its own weather. I live less than one hundred miles away from the mountain and it's only visible about thirty percent of the time.

It's interesting about your woodworking. I retired from the Great Alaska Bowl Company in 11/2014. When you were in Alaska, did you find time to visit there?

Sachiko3

J R WEEMS, thank you very much for your commnet. This vase is jade. I found it in a department store several years ago and I was attracted by the color and the form and bought it.

I saw the photo of J R WEEMS and remembered that I visited the Western U.S.

In September, 2012, I went to Phoenix in California. And I visited Sedna while looking at the forest of the pillar cactus from Phoenix by bus. Sedna was surrounded by the individual-shaped red rocky mountains.

JR and Sachiko, wonderful photos.

Jack, thanks a lot for your comment!

Wanted to take our usual walk yesterday, but when we arrived at the park it started to rain.  I drove around waiting for it to pass but no luck.  Headed home and the rain stopped so drove to a small park just a few blocks from home and took several photos.   The Duck photo was taken on a long zoom, unable to get close to them with Jessie at my side.

angelface555

Sachiko and Jack, very nice!
