Shirley, I counted 26 descendants including spouses. Wonderful. Since I have none, except Norm's family of 12, that's outstanding.

Mary Ann, those aren't all "blood kin"... only 3 kids, 7 grands & 7 great grands, but that's for sure increased the population! At this stage, I can't take credit (or blame) but for 17 & counting myself, 18.

This morning I was at one end of a long pew at church & my gr-son with the 3 little ones at the other. I could hear the 2 year old talking almost constantly to Dad or Mom, & in spite of their "shushs", she would giggle & go on talking. They've taken her out many times but she cries big tears all the way out & the next week it's the same.

For the first time I remembered my youngest (3rd kid) first grade teacher ask me "does Pete ever get a chance to talk at home?" I stopped to think & watched as the weeks went by. Sure enough, he would watch the others or even Cas or me as we talked, but nobody took time to more than acknowledge that he said something, not a conversation.

That's what little Kate is doing in church, nobody else is talking around her & she is taking advantage of the chance to carry on a conversation! Kate has a little lisp but full vocabulary all of a sudden... Don't you find it more fun to watch the "greats" (I expect they are as close to you as if your own). Even less disturbing than it was with the grands or maybe Norm's kids when they were little & misbehaved. We seem to be more tolerant of little ones than when we grew up or were raising our young

Beautiful day today. December and the temp went to 70, and sunshine. Off to the park and posting several photos taken at the playground, and one of the passing clouds.

Jack, looks like a fun place for kids, even saw some kids.

Shirley, I did include the spouses which padded your population.

A funny story when Tim, Tom and Terry were young. They were 2 1/2 years apart Tim to Terry and Joyce's brother said when he had children they were going to behave! Came the time he married and had children, nice kids, but they behaved the same as T, T and T did. Her brother died a couple of months ago from Parkinson's.

Ah, Jack, what beautiful color in those photos! We had a very gray day here, everything is brown & gray & wind blowing. That is a great playground. I am amazed that it seems to thrive without admission fees. How long has it been open to the public?

Mary Ann, when we were growing up my sister & I were terrible eaters, both anemic, no appetite and "back then" the doctor told my mother to do whatever it took to get us to eat and drink milk. Nobody thought about being lactose intolerant, which we are. Poor Mother would paste pictures she cut from magazines on the bottom of our glasses to get us to drink milk & would fix anything anyone was hungry for.... like 5 different meals each meal. My sister & I both said "we won't let our kids get away with that", and we didn't. I did learn right away to NEVER say, "MY kids wouldn't do that", because for sure they would prove a mother wrong!

Also agree that I prefer block. Using 4 size here and always do bold, so let me know if a preference. Shirley that playground is at Oglebay so free and open to the public. The park gets its money from the lodge, cabin rentals, shops and several paid attractions. Great to go up there several times a week and pay nothing. I do not climb the stairs for the slides and probably would break the swings

The Bold, size 4 comes across nicely on my screen. Both the blue and green contrast well for easy reading. That might be a habit I should get into - but hard to teach an old dog new tricks.

Rick, the bold in color is great. Lots of us use size 4, so keep it up. My eyes are not what they used to be and the bold color works fine. I like your green as much as I like my blue.

I used to use black until with this new editor, it seemed blurry. I am still working on a good color as navy to me seems not quite right but doable.

Jack, the key word is BOLD and any of the colors you mentioned are fine. Light colors, like beige and yellow, are not.

Patricia, I thought you used a burgundy color in italic and bold at one time. Whatever you're doing now is fine.

Mary Ann no problem with trying to please you. Believe, for the moment I will settle with Bold size 4 and green. Like Shirleys post. They do claim all caps is a no-no, like yelling. Hope all bold is no problem.

Shirley, this is bold, italic, Georgia, size 4 and color navy. You are certainly getting various results.

Jack, words in all caps is used for closed captioning on the web. When used, (all caps!); in regular conversation, it is considered shouting and rude. An exception is if you want to emphasize one or two words only, you may put those one or two words in caps and emphasize it by putting the two words in quotes. However not to be used continually or more than two words.

For example, It's COLD! or "COLD!"

Jack, the green in your example was great. I think at one time I considered green, but maybe someone was using it. I was one of the first for blue, but others have followed. It makes it easier for me to read.

I just made an eye appointment but it won't be until mid-January because Tom asked that I made appointments on Tuesday as he is now sub teaching. I don't have that many appointments anyway, so it is not a problem or inconvenience.

I find that my choice is 4 and as for colour as long as it is not a light colour I am fine with it.

The light colors are as bad as the magazines that have a gold background with white lettering. I can't read them, so I have no idea what is written. I can see the darker lettering OK.

I've been using the default, which I think is Arial at size 3. I haven't bolded or changed color. It looks a little grey rather than black to me, but I haven't changed it yet. I have trouble enough remembering to resize before I hit post.
