Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

It looks as if everyone is enjoying him/herself.  And we are enjoying it too.

You "kids" are giving us all a chance to re-live our memories of those courting years ... many thanks for sharing the days & the fun.... and Bubble, watch out with that "patty knee...".... Mom & Dad would not approve~   ;)
Happy belated birthday to Aviv.... he is such a handsome dude.  Nice to have a Grandad to hug, huh?

I made an attempt to get out of town this week, after several RV repairs the day before, my son declared the elephant ready to roll.  First problem was the old cat (Lauren) hid out in the basement so she wouldn't have to go, so I filled a dishpan full of water & left a self-feeder full of dry food to hold her for a few days.  She had the run of the basement & family room/kitchen.  Tom & Tiger were loaded & I headed east an hour later than I planned.  Got only a few miles from the house, still at the edge of the city limits & Tom already threw up AND the trim/molding around the passenger side door was flapping in the wind.  I turned around and came back home.

Tom & Tiger jumped out of the RV & ran around to the back yard, I cleaned up Tom's mess and decided to get out the hair dryer to push that molding back in place.  It was cut too short when installed (how many other problems has this RV had?), so no matter how I heated & pushed into place, it would not make the curve & stay in place.  Got out some matching colored duct tape & layered 3 pieces around that curve.

This time all cats were out but Callie (the 4th cat) wanted back in her garage so hid in it.  I gave up & put a self-feeder & dishpan full of water in the garage & left her warm bed on.  Put a self feeder in the pool area where all 3 cats sit when they want to come inside.... and I left town AGAIN, about noon so would not make the night stop as planned.  This time I got to the first rest stop on the turnpike, 47 miles from Wichita.  The tape had pulled loose & was flapping with the molding against the window.  I sat a minute & decided I'd better turn around, this trip was jinxed & I didn't want any more problems.

By the time I got back I decided to leave everything in, plugged the power in so the food in the frig & freezer could stay put... and had myself a pity-party.  I had driven 142 miles & ended at my starting point. But I will try again after those sprinkler people that left my yard in a total mess, get back & fix - finish their job!  Their original date to come was 3/13.... they can't get back until 4/5 and already have 2 hours of time in ($80 for trip call) when they were told by me not to come without the detector to locate power underground.  This is why I wanted to run away from home.  We had 2-3" of rain yesterday & last night so those holes they dug are full of water.  Hope they don't expect a good rating from this old lady.  :tickedoff:  No photos of wild dogwood blooming in MO.   :tissue:

Shirley.  You have more patience than I would ever have with your Motor Home. Your old one always seemed to run perfect.
Takes as long to get your cats organized almost as it use to take to get the kids ready to go anywhere.  Their Clothes, Diaper bags. bottles . I watch people now doing it and wonder how I did it.  But then I don't think we went as much back then.

Hope you get all fixed to you can enjoy traveling in the Summer.. But then it will be you Pool to work on.  Oh! for the simple older days Eh!

Don.  Now you are what all Children want their Grampa's to look and be like.  Does he have other grandparents around?
Bubble now is that your Son or Son in Law?  I was thinking son lived in Europe. You have kept Don having fun all this trip.  Busy also. Just what he needed.  We all need to come and visit you.

Shirley ...
So glad to hear that you "listen to your gut"  and returned home,  when it told you to...

I am a firm believer in listening to my feelings (instints)...
That is the way I traveled across the USA...And made it a long, long, way.

Shirly,

Those"sprinkler people", and other business people. Don't you just love it when a customer has to inform a business what tools they will need and often just how they should be doing their job. Too often we hear "Oh, we don't have that with us.  Does anyone come prepared any more, or with the knowledge to do their job.

Wishing you better luck in getting your trip going.  Tell those cats to shape up and learn to cat-nap in the RV.  Napping is good anywhere   ::)

JeanneP Eitan is my son, he came for a 10 day visit from UK.  I hadn't seen for for 3 years.

You are all welcome to come and visit: the more, the merrier.
Shirley  I sure wish you could drive up to here and the cats would find lots of company around too :D

Radioman34

Shirley, you ain't seen nothing yet, but stay tuned ;)
At the beginning of the week week we set off for a 3-day vacation at a kibbutz named Ein Harod located in the Jezreel valley north of Gallilee. This kibbutz was founded in 1921 and is the largest in Israel. This is the early morning view.

Don, Bubble....isn't technology marvellous? I can tap in maps google, tap in Ein Harod ( kibbutz ) and travel around the area, Nth District.... whilst sitting in my computer office....the only thing that is missing is the buzzing atmosphere and the weather...and of course your company.. :)
I even travelled to the Sturman Museum...

Thank you for making me aware of these locations...

The grounds are vast and include a dairy farm, horse stables, chocolate factory and others I forgot

Bubbles and Don, have really enjoyed all your photos.

Shirley

Every now & then one of your photos brings tears to my eyes, like it is a place I know but haven't seen for a long time.  Maybe in our hearts we do know a "homeland", where we all came from.  Thanks so much to sharing your days with us, Don & Bubble.... it has been a thrill for me.  Bubble, if I could drive there I would, for sure!

Jack, the flowers must be glorious at Oglebay right now.  Hope all's well in your world.

Spring kind of gave way to nippy weather here, have a cold wind blowing.  We did get a couple inches of much needed rain.

angelface555

I'm really enjoying all of these photos and thank you for bringing us along with you in your photos! The last two photos are oddly very like Fairbanks in the summer.

jackwv

Don and Bubble thanks for bringing us the beauty of your area, and your good times together.

Shirley the tulips are just beginning to blossom, believe we need a few more weeks.  Rain all day so no trip to the park.  Photos will follow when things develop.

Sandy, Fe is such a beautiful baby--but I don't think she will be an arm baby much longer.  She's really growing up pretty fast!

Sandy, now to me she resembles her dad in this photo.

JeanneP

Bubble.  The Kibbutz looks to be a beautiful place.  Great place to spend a vacation.
Now I remember friends who went to live in a Kibbutz way back in the late 50s. Then the men and women had to live in different area.  I am sure all that has changed now.  Now Watch. Don will be finding some work to do while there.
JeanneP

Shirley

Sandy, she is darling.  I don't remember my kids ever having those sweet little rolls of arms & legs, couldn't you just take a bite out of them?  Her face is already thinning to look older, such a trusting gaze.  Hope her life is full of joy and good people.

Mary Ann

Sandy, Fe is a darling little girl.

We wandered through the paddock area, complete with goat, then headed for the cow barn as the cows awaited milking. They seemed very curious about us and one, I think, tried to nibble my ear.

Great photos.  That water looks cool, doubt this old chicken would go in.  The area looks like a step back in time, miss those days
