Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

Bubble that is great, and now JeanneLee is right, time to move along so will look for your request     a Key

so_P_bubble

Please, post as many keys as you have, this could be interesting.  I just remembered I have a very old padlock with its key, I have to take a photo...

so_P_bubble

Meanwhile here is a picture my daughter took in Portugal: the iron key to the Gate of a National Palace in the town they visited.

Vanilla-Jackie

Wow, now that is a key... :o ... just wondering what size the door was...

so_P_bubble

I was hoping people would have keys, car or otherwise  :idiot2:

Here is my very old paddlock key

Bubble, a few great keys.   Have nothing to offer, I always forget my keys :)

SCFSue

Bubble, I've been to Prague 3 times (during escorted tours) and the tour guides always stop at that clock!  Prague is a great city for tourists, IMHO!  Thanks for the picture of the clock.

Nice keys Bubble! Now I know who to come to if I get locked out!  :thumbup:

Don...what does it open?... is it the key to someones heart, the name we shan't mention...but you know who... ;)

...these keys are coming thick and fast now...

jackwv

Good one Don, is it in use?

The resized key...

That is a beautiful key. It could almost be jewelry if it was smaller.  So shiny too.  Do you polish it daily?  :D

Books

Show me a photo of a computer

I used to have 4 or 5 bookcases full of books, but since we downsized I've had to compromise and use iBooks and the Kindle app on my iPad.  I still have some hardback books I just couldn't let go but they are still packed.  ;). This is just a sample of books.  I've got lots more.  After I read them I send them to the cloud :)

This is my precious little Oxford Dictionary

and now looking for a photo of a computer

angelface555

On the 17th I donated nine pieces of older scruffed and banged up furniture to have room for the new items I'm saving for. One of them was my old desk so my desktop computer setup is currently cobbled together while I look for a new table for all my camera and computer pieces.

[attachimg=1]

angelface555

I'm thinking about something like an entertainment center with a central shelf for the desktop, but I'm still deciding. My house looks so empty now.

[attachimg=1]

In that spirit, show me a shelving unit.

jackwv

Computer and shelving unit.

Give me a favorite photo, regardless of subject.

Jack, As usual not a thing out of place on your computer are.  I would be to embarrassed to take a copy of mine even if I was smart enough to do it.  Having these doors that I can just close on a Armoire make me untidy. ( I don't like the Armoire )

Here's the rest of my stuff from the desk. I really need to find one that works yet is slim. It's hard to believe that all of that stuff and my two computers sat on that old desk.

Here is a photo I took on the way south in 2008.   http://www.explorenorth.com/articles/black_rapids_glacier-1937.html

Good one Pat, and one south of me.  Southern West Virginia.   An old grist mill, had to stand on rocks in the stream for the photo.

[attachimg=1]

Shirley

I am not going to comment on EVERY photo, they are all SO special  But I will tell you that grist mill photo is probably one of my favorite photos of all time (even if I didn't take it).  Somewhere I do have a copy of it, whether Jack sent to me or I copied from here  Problem is the photo is so perfect I never wanted to challenge Mother Nature and Jack's photography skills, knew no matter how hard I worked on it, my painting would never hold a candle to the photo.  He generously offered to allow me to use it to paint from, but I never had the courage to try.

Patricia, I remember when Jack showed us his neat office space & the baskets he used to organize.  I think about it every time I have to dig through my jumble of stuff.  Like you, I've been using a kitchen table & chair for my computer for years but since taking over my husband's computer & his "for real" computer desk, I've managed to make it a sloppy mess, little notes & stuff all over.  Such is life.  Yours looks like you have a plan, at least... good work!

I have a set of keys for an antique oak dining room buffet.... wood on the main drawer is well over an inch thick, other drawers & doors not so thick so reason for different size keys.  BUT, I didn't get the keys cleaned, photographed & posted.  Love all the pics of keys everyone posted.
:thumbup:

so_P_bubble

Please, you can still post your keys, I am curious! Topics here don't get closed.

jackwv

Sorry, no key photo.   Have one key, not unusual, do not know what it is for, have tried to identify.  Keep it just in case.

Bubble how about your starting another request.

FlaJean

I'm not Bubbles, but I'll make a suggestion.

Show me more photos of umbrellas.

Our son gave me this umbrella several years ago, but it is so pretty I always use an older one.  ;)

jackwv

Jean, that is a pretty one.   I thought I gave the pretty ones to my daughter.  I missed this one.   I would never carry it.  I have a large black pop up one, not pretty but covers me. :)  Lets see some more!
