Decided to spice things up a bit with regard to avatars after finding a fun addon for the forum.

Avatars are now displayed in several new places:
On the board index to the left of the info about the last post in each board
On the message index to the left of a topic (avatar of topic starter) and last post info (avatar of last poster)
On the member list
In search results
In a topic, at the top of the page to the left of the subject

The addon also includes a few other options which I've enabled:
Display avatars with a shadow
Display avatars as a circle
Use an avatar with the first letter of the user's display name if they don't have an avatar

Let me know what you think! Each of these options/locations can be disabled individually if you find it too distracting.

Michael, since you worked with the avatars, the sequencing is in error. Each time you click on an "unread site," you are taken to the very beginning of that discussion, sometimes years before.

Clicking on the little "new" icon jumps me directly to the first unread post in the topic like usual.

I don't notice anything different.  What am I missing

When I click on the Unread Posts button at the upper right of the home page or the Show Unread link in the User Box on the left, I'm sent to the original post in that discussion. If I go to the Senior and Friends Info Center's recent Posts on the Forum page. I can click on a post in that box, and it takes me to the correct post.

This only started after reading Michael's Avatar post and then I posted after his. It's late here, so I'll check back in the morning.

Mine still functions as it did.

Here unread or updated topics work as usual.

This morning the issue seems to have resolved itself.
