Good morning...

Easter blessings to you!

A beautiful day here, starting out at 14° and going to  52°.

Hung a loaf of bread on the neighbours door before going into town, didn't want to disturb them as he worked late in the sugar bush.  Yesterday the laundry blew out in no time on the line.

I hear crow hollering for his meal better go throw his food out for him and his friends.

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Today would have been my dads 99th birthday if he were still here with us.  These "firsts" after we loose our loved ones are always hard😩😥 There is comfort in knowing my parents are together again, but I sure do miss our daily chats and feel his absence 😩

We have a beautiful sunny and warm day ahead and it is going to be very much enjoyed ‼️

I thank you for the kind words, encouragement and welcome back comments‼️ It is great to be here with you all❣️

They were able to have the annual Easter morning service at our famous Red Rocks amphitheater and I am sure those who were there enjoyed it very much.  I have not attended in a very long time and doubt I ever will again, but I can tell you it is a very moving experience.  One can watch it live on the Red Rocks video, but it just isn't the same as being there 🤪

I see no one commented on the tornado near where Lloyd lives TOME....I do hope he is alright 🙏

On Friday, I did see my cardiologist and she gave me only GOOD NEWS from the results of my recent Echo and heart monitor. She is so happy with all of the results and I am too....and very thankful 🙏. All of the tests they have done on me; heart and pulmonary were to find out WHY I need oxygen?  I personally think it is totally to do with the thinner air here in this altitude‼️ I have proved this many times when I go to lower altitude I do not need oxygen‼️ Thankfully their tests have proven my heart and lungs are good.  Now if I can get some relief from my back and neck pain I might just be able to move on to a more comfortable life🤪 Don't we ALL want this? Life can sure be a struggle, can't it?

I hope EVERYFRIEND has a good day and hopefully spent with loved ones and friends.

Good morning, plus one here, and we had an inch of snow overnight. We're not warming up until the fifteenth, according to forecasts. Winter is still staying unusually long here. In the past, up until 2016, all the snow was gone, and we were in the fifties by Easter.

More bad news.....Snow will continue over most of the Eastern Interior into Monday.
This will bring several inches of snow to much of the Interior
east of Tanana through Monday, including Fairbanks.

Areas of the Interior northeast of Northway, Twelvemile Summit
and Coldfoot could see storm total snowfall of 4 to 8 inches by
Monday.

Areas along the Alaska Highway east of Dot Lake and through Alaska
Range Passes have northwest winds gusting to 30 mph along with
blowing and drifting snow that will continue through early
Monday.

Snow is expected to taper off Monday afternoon across the Interior,
but another round of snow is possible across the Eastern Interior
from Tuesday into Wednesday.

Amy

Couldn't ask for a nicer day here. A little chilly but we did sit outside to have our tea. Yard work was done and we have ashes ready to go to the dump tomorrow .
Patricia, I like your new avatar! Very pretty! Please keep the snow your way, ours is going and I hope to get into the garden some time this week.

Jenny , Lloyd is ok, he is just having trouble finding the right place to post.My Dad's birthday was the 6th. Nice to finally get good news!!

Good morning..
Another beautiful day in the making here.Folks in parts of Quebec and Ontario are still without power after that ice storm. We got off lucky with just a short power outage here and very little damage done.

Ashes to take away this morning, then home to chase dog hair bunnies. Soup and tapioca should be made for lunch plus a pot of baked beans ,that should do it.

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Good morning...

Good to see your post Jane, you didn't sign in, in the morning and I thought you might have been just too busy.

We had a busy day here with yard work and taking  another load of ashes to the dump. Back yard is slowly losing the snow covering and I noticed the rhubarb peeking!!

We are off to a little town this morning, they have a wholesale store and the general public can also shop you just don't get the lower pricing. I want to stock up on bread bags and other items for us and friends.

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Good Morning!  It's nice to come in here and see someone else!  I miss all the people who used to post in here!

Cooper and I had a good night last night!  I was only up once and I slept pretty well.  He snuggled and I had to hold my ground or he'd have snuggled me right out of the bed!

I think Cathy might be heading for the Amish grocery store and right down the street from it is an Amish kitchen store.  They show some things on line but they don't sell on line.  However, they do have two things I've been looking at and I'm going to see if Cathy might make a stop there before we get groceries!

AMY, I didn't check out last night because I was just plain worn out!

I wish Everyfriend a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow!

OOPS!  Almost forgot to say "Good Morning Rick!

I can at least say Good Morning to All.  It's a beautiful day here...a little cool but getting warmer.

I may try your Carrot recipe, Jane.  If I feel like cooking this afternoon I need to use up some carrots that have been in the fridge long enough.

Take care, All.

Good morning; nothing new to add for today; it's minus ten, and more wind and light snow are forecast for today and Friday. I've spent the past few mornings commiserating with local friends on our meet and greet mornings and spending my evenings curled up with a good book. Between that, I'm amid domestic chores and peeking in on the computer.

I'm uncertain about summer; we seem to be getting more winter than usual this year, and even the wildlife is staying in their dens.

Its one of those Bah Humbug type of months.

Amy

Day went well, weather was great for driving ,no glaring sun!

We are experiencing high winds at the moment... just hope the power stays on.  Folks in Quebec should have their power on after being without 4 -5 days. At least it wasn't bitter cold for them.

Jane, you did sign in, in the evening last night but didn't sign in in the morning..
Edited to add posted a radish recipe for you in whats for dinner.

Patricia, they are talking mosquitos and swarms of them here this year.nasty little critters as are the blackflies that seem to have post hole augers for bills!

Our mosquitos are so big and vicious that they're referred to, not so jokingly, as Alaska's state bird! :(

Black or biting flies aren't found here, but we do have what I assume is a basic black outdoors fly that is more interested in the garbage than people.

We, unfortunately, have all types of bees, not the honey bees, those we welcome! wasps, hornets, and a tiny biting black bug, noseeums.

JaneS

Well, I guess I got a little mixed up about when I posted, but AMY straightened me out!

I just got home from granddaughter, Kiran's high school chorus concert!  It was wonderful.  I loved all the songs and the kids were so good! But it's been a busy day and I'm bushed.  Cathy and I went to an Amish Kitchen Store and then Wenger's Amish Grocery Store and then made a quick stop at Davy's.  She brought me home and then ran to get her groceries put away.  It got up to 74º today!  I loved it!

Now I'm ready to hit the haystack!  Phyllis, it was nice to see you pop in.  If you make the carrot casserole, let me know how you like it.  I think it's a keeper for me!

I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy tomorrow.  God bless!

P.S. I might not check in tomorrow morning.  I have an early Dr. Appt about 15 miles away pretty early.  Till I take care of Cooper and get myself ready, I won't have much free time!

Good morning..

Going to be another lovely day with temps hitting 70°.

Taking vehicle in this morning to get my winter tires off and summers put on. Then back home to take Kyle for blood work then I can stay home.
Patricia, when the blackflies bite you don't feel it till the blood trickles down. Everyone looks forward to Spring but not the biting bugs it brings.

Shirley, are you winning with the lines on your oxygen tank?

Phyllis, hope all is well with you and David.

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

This is a quick "Good Morning Everyfriend".  I'm almost ready to be picked up for my Dr. Appt.  and I'm a little bit early!

It's supposed to hit 82º this afternoon!  We have a fire weather watch until 8 p.m  I don't think it would be around where I live but we do have a lot of wooded areas here!

I wish you all a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow!

Good morning from an Interior where winter refuses to let go. We are plus fifteen, and wind and snow, three inches so far, cover that ridged ice. I wonder if we'll find ourselves in the fall when that snow finally leaves.

Lloyd is still trying to post in the Problems section.

Jane, you're Up and "at 'em" early today. Do you ever spend a day simply lazing around the house?  ;)

Amy, I wouldn't care for those black flies. Our mosquitos feel like a needle jab that you never saw coming.

I've some domestic duties today; thanks, Callie, for that helpful phase, but not much else.

I need to edit that I was attempting to say that I didn't have much else to do and NOT SAYING I was only thanking Callie for more than that phrase! Callie is a vertical fount of useful sayings!

I got aholde on the phone with the persion that has my track hoew. he never wanted to bring it home but finley agreed to. he gave all sort of excuses about all the proubelems with It. but I told him it is mine and I want it back home. I told him me and my son's father in law is a good macanick and we can fix it up. If i get it home we can get it fixed and I can reach over the feince and push the big trees over and then pick them up and lift them over the feince to our side. I am in the progress of of making some rabbit cages and getting some rabbits (tame  white ones)  you know they are the other white meeat.

Patricia,   I was preparing to say that sentence be read two ways but you edited before I could do so.  :smitten:

I read posts every day but try to wait until I have something different to talk about instead of listing off the same old daily routine.

The past two weeks have challenged my ability to adapt!    Appointments cancelled  - others rescheduled - business needing taken care of - and an unusual (for me these days) family Easter.  I actually went "out of town"!!!!
I went to church here with #2 son/dil after which we went to their house for lunch and to change clothes.
Then we met #1 son/dil - plus two Grands and "Plus Ones" about 30 miles away at a "fishin' hole" where they have a trailer.  Since everyone has aged out of an Easter Egg hunt, #1/dil had "hidden" different kinds of drinks in bottles and cans around the yard. We were given an empty six-pack carton and directed to fill it with the cans/bottles listed on the carton.  It was fun.  The rest of the afternoon was spent just "hangin' out".
I got home in time to watch the two Sunday night PBS shows I like.

This week has been busy so far but it looks as if I'll have some "leisurely" time until Sunday.  Miss Ellen is maid-of=honor for her college roomie and this Saturday is the Bachelorette Event so she's flying in for a long weekend.  She has asked for a family dinner on Sunday and I'm included.  :smitten:

Son has offered to come over next and plant my "pot garden" so I need to make a list of flowers.  The Hostas, Hydrangea and lilies are coming up in the one flower bed that has perennials "in the ground" but, so far, no color is showing.

And that's what's going on in my world.

Amy

Good morning..

Today the temp is almost going to tickle the 80's. far cry from the -30°!! No sweatshirt today, just T shirts then back to sweatshirt and coat after the weekend.
We are off to get blood work done this morning early. Then home to those lovely domestic duties (I ,too thank you Callie) gives class to housework :)

Callie sounds like you had a fun family time and I loved the "new" Easter egg hunt.

Patricia, thankfully those blackflies don't live too long...one day is one too many for me though.

Jane,I have to check my rhubarb juice that I canned last year to see if it needs to be replenished. Did you see the recipe for your baked radishes and onions in whats for dinner?

Better get the day started.

Enjoy your day and stay  safe.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  I didn't check out last night so I don't have to check in this morning.

My trip to the "Over 65" Dr. yesterday was good!   I like the Dr. I have and by switching to this place, I'll always have the same Dr. when I go.  And she told us she took this particular assignment because she gets the same patients every time and there's no limit on the amount of time she can spend with us.  And she proved that yesterday!  She also answered some questions that had been sort of passed over lately.  I really LIKE this gal!

When I got home, I got some "stuff" done and then I sort of collapsed!  I still took Cooper for his walks and managed to make some of "Jim's Egg Thingys" and put some stuff away. Cooper got fed and I ate leftovers and we both went to bed early.  I feel at least 99.9º better this morning!

Our temp is at 60º right now and heading for a high of 87 by this afternoon.  April is doing it's crazy weather thing again!  It's hard to decide what to wear these day.

CALLIE, I loved the "ADULT EASTER EGG HUNT"!  Your family is very creative!  Nice to have them all together.

AMY, sounds like your weather is chnging for the better!  Keep up the good times!  I'll go over and look at the recipe when I finish here!

LLOYD, sounds like you found us!  Keep us around!  Also sounds like you have lots in mind to keep you busy!

PATRICIA,  I wish you SUMMER soon!  It sounds like you need it!  I guess I know why I wasn't born in Alaska!  I don't think I could take so much WINTER!

I just found out I'm probably going to lose my "bedfellow" today.  Cathy and Craig are on the way to Harrisburg to pick up Frankie and I'm sure she'll want him home with her tonight!  Dang!  It was a good week.  He's good company!

I'm going to try making some of the doggie cookies like I made for Christmas.  Cooper loves them!

Now I'm off to get "stuff" done!  I wish you all a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow!

AMY, I got the recipe and I have everything but the radishes to try it.  Cathy and I have already hit the stores this week so it'll have to wait until next wee.  I put radishes on my list so I won't forget!  It sounds really good!

Presently, in the Interior, or at least my portion of it, it's minus three and sunny. No cloud cover in winter means all the heat escapes, and we remain cold. Friday, we'll finally be back in the thirties, but nothing spectacular until the twentieth, when we finally make it into the plus forties. We are entirely behind the eightball temperature-wise with the coldest weather I can recall for this time of year!

Jane, this is not spring weather, or at least not the spring I've become familiar with in my past seventy-some years. In the past, we could count on 50-60 degrees on Easter or shortly afterward. We've been volleying new weather records since 2016.

I'm glad you had good company with Cooper this past week, and I know that Frankie looks forward to seeing him again.

Amy, you and Jane are enjoying some nice weather. According to the projected weather forecast, we won't see sixty until May fourteenth! :( Everyone is beyond grumpy this year. It's the main topic of conversation.

I finished my "domestic duties"  ©Callie; yesterday and have a few computer-related tasks I've been avoiding for today.

Lloyd is back in the problems site, "Good Morning everyone. well I went to bed Late and slept in this morning,so slow getting moving. well I have been grading in the bad ruts i made in the front yard when I got the motor home stuck in it,Nancy is going to town to get a few things we need. it is 59º and clear.
