The sequel to the story about the lady and the 18 cents happened after she left.  I stood there just looking at the people in line behind her and when she was out of hearing, I said, "She's amazing!"  And the lady said, "That's what I just told my husband."  And he said, "If I knew who she was, she's the kind of person I'd like to help."  I felt the tears in my eyes!

Some of you have asked about my brother....they decided that he had something called c-diff.  I had to look it up.  But they are keeping him in the hospital indefinitely.  With everything else that's going on in his body, they decided he needed to be closely watched.  That's good and it's bad for my sister.  And there's absolutely nothing I can do to help them.

And on top of that, my daughter's FIL whose family have been friends of ours since my childhood, is also in the hospital and probably dying.  If you have any prayers left, say one for Randall, too.

Larry & Hal, i always heard that about "sending anything not fit to donate to be used for rags".... and have been stunned ever since hearing that lady (worked for the Salvation Army) telling to give money because 75% of what is donated goes to the landfill."  I don't know what position she holds but was doing the pitch for cash.  I learned when we lived in KC that the Disabled Am Vets stores only have to give 5% of the profits to the DAV.... & that means they can take out for all expenses & still only donate 5% of the profits.  I'm curious if everyone gets the same answer when they research the rules......

Okay, I'm asking for sympathy tonight.... did a more than dumb thing about dark.  Been rushing all day & looking for things I misplaced... you know how frustrating that is.  Was still going full blast about dark & realized I still had not sprayed the new can of silicone spray I bought for the slide out track.... so I could close it before the super cold & possibly mist/ice, etc, might hit.  I sprayed the lower tracks & looked up, completely forgot I still needed to get at those tracks before closing.  Got out the short ladder (I think about 7 or 8 steps) & on the last track in the back, had to put the feet of the ladder on concrete & grass so was hanging onto the ladder attached to the RV as I sprayed.  All of a sudden a gust of wind blew that silicone in my face so I stepped back to avoid what I could.  Not smart.... should not step back when on a ladder.  I went down, ladder & all & was protecting the can in my hand so hit the concrete hard, & head flipped back like the other time I cracked that same spot.  This time I'm not bleeding but sure got a big lump.  So far the bones are sore, even jolted some innards & one hand where I slapped the concrete.  I knew I was too tired to be doing that job but time ran out to get it done & close the RV.

Both of my knees are sore, but were before the fall.  I thought probably the cold wind but temps are really not that bad.  Wind is out of the north & whistling, no chance of snow for Christmas "they" say, but we can always hope (me & the kids).  I did dig out my long john's, geemogotchies (not sure that's how Joan spells 'em).... have silk or nylon & some thermo types & another knit with little rose buds all over... hey, anything that helps!  They didn't offer much padding for that fall, though.   :crazy2:

Joy, wish I had something baked.... anything!  Congratulations.... You, too, Jane.  Good going.

Jane, so sorry about your bro & DIL's father, hospitals are no fun during holidays... prayers for all in need.

June, I fizzled out with your links.... sorry.

Gloria de.... we received a set of Currier & Ives as a wedding present...  many extra pieces, including "frosted" glasses.  Years later a grocery store was selling the same pattern but much thicker stoneware.... when we moved to the KC area I sold all the heavy pieces & kept the wedding present ones & gave to my daughter.  Bless her heart, she is a pac-rat & some day will have to downsize.

Sweet dreams to all, God Bless.  Shirley

SHIRLEY.......SHIRLEY.......SHIRLEY!
Sure HOPE you did not hurt anything worse than you are already aware of!  No need to say anymore other than I am sorry you stepped back and came tumbling down.  You did not really say if the silicone got in your eyes or not! But I hope not!

JANE, I was happy to read the sequel to the story......it made me smile to know that others also thought IF only they could be of help to this sweet lady.  Always have time for more prayers...so I add Randall along with Jim to my prayers.  Good for you getting the batch of mustard finished.  I bet it is yummy!

JUNE! I hope someone can help with your picture as I REALLY would like to see it.

GLORIA de, nice to know you were able to buy the Currier & Ives dishes from Grants back on that fine year......and yes, many had to put things on lay away to afford them.  I had to chuckle at the, what I am sure is a typo error, as I feel quite certain your dear hubby was not making $95 an hour!

It is a really chilly night here.....I feel sad for those that do not have a nice warm home to sleep in.

Pleasant dreams to all.

Jane, best place for your brother at the moment, c diff is a nasty one..and he will get the best care he needs . Prayers for both your brother and Randall.

Shirley, goodness me!!! Hope you are not sore today, a nice long hot bath may help take the kinks out. Hope you didn't get a concussion from this fall.

Larry, are the shots helping Pat any?

Hal, nice to be able to cut back on a med, even nicer to not take any but we are at that stage in life we need them.

Jenny, thank you for news about Joan, I wish she could pop in just to say hi..

Having my tea, then maybe cat nap???

Enjoy your day everyone..

Good morning Amy.
I woke up burning up, I guess our first front is pretty close.  It is suppose to bring rain, which I will welcome.

Just got a glass of water and going to head back to bed and see if I can get a little more sleep.  Hopefully not too much snow your way.

JaneS

Good Morning Everyfriend!  It looks like we're all set on "early" mode this morning.  The doggies were astir and I was awake so got up and went to the bathroom.  When I came back, I looked at the clock and it was 4:42!  The dogs were ready to go out and I wasn't sleepy enough to go back to bed.  That's what I get for going to bed early!

Amy, please keep your snow in Canada.  Too many people I know will be on the road in the next few days.  I'd still like to see a white Christmas but only after everyone is where they are going!

No news about Jim or Randall since I last posted but both are still in hospital.  Please keep them in your prayers.  Thank you so much!

There's an unopened Christmas package in my living room with directions not to open until Christmas.  I'm abiding by the rules but yesterday, Kiran saw it and now she's curious too.  We had about a half hour of "Maybe it's a...." or "I bet it's a....".  She came up with some pretty good ideas!  It was fun!

Another batch of mustard is done and ready to share with friends, family and neighbors....and to spread on my own sandwiches!  Now, when I finish the wrapping, I'll be ready.  I have no doubt that I'll be wrapping the last gift on Christmas Eve.  I always do!

I hope you all have a lovely day...even if you have to shovel snow!

Shirley,  WHAT are we going to do with you ?????   I sure hope you don't have any bad after affects today.  You do know better than to do something like that!!!   Please let us know that you are doing ok today.

Jane, I know you have mentioned the mustard, but is there a recipe somewhere for it.   If you don't mind sharing it,  I would like to have the recipe.  Not in any hurry for it. Just would want to make some for myself.  I have a friend who makes and sells all kinds of dips and she has a mustard dip that is so delicious.  It is a dry mix that you add cream cheese and a little bit of mayonnaise and let all the flavors blend. It is so good with pretzels and I love it with ham.

I am up early as I could not go back to sleep. I want to get my trash out to the trash room, as there won't be anybody working here until Tuesday and that is a long time for the trash to be sitting.  There is nobody here over the week ends and when the holiday is on a Friday or Monday, that means 3 days worth of trash builds up.  The room can be overflowing by then.

I have to finish up a few little things today and try to do a little bit of laundry.  Tomorrow and Sunday, I have plans to go out for part of the day.  So, not sure if I will feel like doing anything by the time I get back home.

Again, Shirley, I hope you are ok today.

Have a good day.

JOY, speak to Amy.  The mustard recipe is hers.  That's why I report when I make it!

And I also forgot to chastise Shirley.  Don't you know stepping OFF stepladders is bad for your health?  I hope you have no more ill effects today and I hope you stop by to tell us that.  You're as bad as LLOYD with the head cracking!  We'll have to get you a helmet, too.

Jane, it was me who asked about the mustard, so I will direct my message to Amy.  Thanks for letting me know that it came from her.

Amy, is there directions  for the mustard somewhere on the forum here?  If not,  would you mind sharing it again. I do remember you talking about it before, but wasn't sure it originally came from you. I am not in any big hurry for it, as I just would like it for myself.  If and when you have time.  Thanks   I know you are busy right now.

Jane,  I also wanted to mention that I have a cousin who has had numerous bouts with C-diff.  It can be dangerous, but it also is curable.  This girl has had a lot of medical problems from a very young age, and it seems every time she has to go to the hospital, she will pick up  the  C-diff germ,   I have   always heard that hospitals are one of the worst places to pick up an infection.  Hope your brother will feel better soon.

JOY, if the c-diff was ALL Jim was fighting, I'd be happy but his blood pressure took another nosedive yesterday and they think he has some internal bleeding.  This is new stuff added onto the heart problems he's already fighting and the intestinal tract problems.  It really doesn't look good!

Jane,  I am so sorry to know all the problems that your brother and your family are going through at this time. I haave had my share of sadness during this holiday in the past.  It is not easy at any time, but the holidays just make it a little bit sadder.  I  will certainly keep you and your whole family in my thoughts and prayers during this time.  ((((((((hugs)))))))))

Hi Everyone. It is to be another partly cloudy day and get into the high 60's.  I plan on staying home today as about wore myself out yesterday.  I made a trip to Walmart and there were no electric carts available so I had to walk.  I had to go from the pharmacy area to the auto section and then to the grocery isles, where I had to walk several of the isles to get the items we needed.  By the time I got home I was beat.  I even slept in a bit this morning.  Pat did get the shot in her back yesterday and seems to be feeling better this morning.  However, she couldn't sleep last night and after about 2 hours in bed she got up for the rest of the night.  She had taken a nice nap before dinner last evening and a few minutes ago decided to go back to bed to see if she could get some sleep.

Don, no wonder you are worn out as that is a lot of children.

June, glad you had the day of rest that you needed.  Sure hope you are not getting the flu with your stomach feeling queasy. Your temperatures are about what we are experiencing.  We cannot see your picture because it resides on your computer rather than out on a server somewhere.

Callie, my cardiologist told after we had been to Denver for a few days and I had a very bad time with legs swelling and chest pain that if we moved there I would soon adjust to the altitude.  I have no plans on ever returning so won't be testing out what he said.  sure hope the weather doesn't mess up your weekend plans.

Jenny, I hadn't heard of Amazon delivering packages with a golf cart.  I have noticed that the UPS truck has a driver and a runner now to make the deliveries faster.  I don't think I will soon forget that Josh Groban program and the stores of those poor children.  For goodness sake, take your nose off the grindstone.  :)

Jane, what is that "special" quality with your mustard.  You have left us hanging there.  :) So sorry to hear of the c-diff problem you brother is experiencing.  It sounds like he is where he needs to be.  Do they live close to the hospital or does his wife have a long trip to get there.  I just looked that up and it sounds dreadful.

deAngel, they built and opened a new Salvation Army store here in North Augusta since we moved here.  My overnight oxygen test several weeks ago showed my oxygen was getting down to 69 for several minutes.  I do know I have felt much better since getting the oxygen to use at night.

Shirley, I recently saw a chart showing the salaries of the heads of various charitable organisations and the percentage of their income that actually go to helping others and it is shocking.  The person heading the Salvation Army makes very little and most of their income goes to helping others.   So sorry to read of your accident and landing on the concrete from the ladder.  Perhaps you need to put a note on that ladder that says "Shirley--stay off".

Amy, I do think the shots are helping Pat.  However she uses the walker to get around the house and a cane anytime we go out as never knows when one of her legs will try to give out.  Sorry to hear you are having so much snow and cold weather.  Stay warm.

Joy, do you have a trash shut that send your trash down to a dumpster or trash room or does it just accumulate in a designated room?

Joy

Larry,  glad that Pat's back is better this morning.  Hope it won't be too bothersome over the holiday.

I, also, read that list of heads of different charities.  I had heard about most of them before.  I do know that Salvation Army do good work.  I remember that it was one of a very few that my mother would donate to.  Most of the stores had a bell ringer outside of a lot of stores and she would always make a point to putting something in their kettles.  Another one that maybe was only in our area was Little Sisters of the Poor.  It was an order of nuns that never turned anyone away.  She always gave to that  one, also, as they had been so good to a favorite uncle of hers.  I do remember going with her to visit this uncle,
Not even sure if it is still in existence any more.

We have a trash room that has 1 or 2 large bins in them to put the trash in.  They ask us to use the large trash bags that has a pull tie to close it,  Every once in a while, there will be a small Walmart bag in there.  Cardboard boxes are supposed to be broken down and tied together.  We used to have a separate recycling bin, but now everything goes together.  We are supposed to mark that bag with a big "R".  There is a dumpster in the back of the building and I guess the trash and recycling bags are separated there. I never go back there, so I really don't know how that works.  I usually just bundle my magazines and catalogs up and tie them all together and just put them in the trash bins.

Jane told me earlier that it was Amy who first posted the directions for the mustard.  I guess I missed the directions and I have ask for Amy to share it with me.  I only want to make a little bit for myself.

I have been up since before 6, but still haven't gotten much accomplished.  Need to get myself moving.

Have a great day.

Thank you all for the warnings & sympathy.   :uglystupid2: :crazy2:  Drives me nuts that I can be hurt all over & nothing to show for my agony.  I don't bruise & this time no blood.... and even that lump on my head is gone.  When I looked at the back of my head last night (bathroom has those mirrors on each end with big one in the middle so you can see what's behind).....my hair over that lump was sticking out in funny directions.  Not sure why the left heel hurts since I had on UGGs & well padded, but from the top of my head to my toes lets me know it is time to listen to reason.  I knew I was too tired for that job & my sore knees, hands & feet are thanks to Arthur being upset at working in the cold.  I'll live..... still can't believe I "stepped back" to get my face away from that spray.  :idiot2:

You suppose it was the moon that got us all up so early?  Fitbit says I got less than 4 hours sleep but I didn't get up until 8:00 & need to make tracks. I didn't lock Tom & Tiger in the other end of the house so Tom slept on the end of my bed.  At 4:00 am he insisted he needed to go out (litter box right by his feet).  Out he went & I closed my eyes for a while & he was waiting to come back in after less than an hour.  Tiger won't share the bed if he gets there first, so as soon as I got up she joined me while I dressed. They are a lot of company but I'd rather have a dog that is more willing to mind.

Amy, Jane & Joy.... I'm not a mustard person but sure sounds good so would love to have the recipe as well (and all the instructions for what happens if you don't do something).  My kids are all crazy about any "gourmet mustard", as was Cas, I'm learning to like a lot of flavors I didn't appreciate before.

Jane, Cas' blood pressure would get so low he couldn't get readings on the monitor & the doctors still had him on BP meds.  I could not understand why.  They did that with my mother & later my father but when I was there for a visit one time & he (Dad) slept all day in his lounge chair, I threw a fit.  The doctor took him off & we had his BP checked all the time by either a nurse when he visited Mom in the hospital, or at a fire station down the street.  Never high with no meds & he was not sleeping all day.  Prayers for everyone in need.

I have laundry to do, dusting that will take a trowel to get off.... stuff to put away.  Need to get the gallon jugs of water out of the RV, Andy thinks they might freeze since winter is here finally.  This last trip I carried extra water since the lines were all drained, I always take bottled water to drink & gallons for coffee, etc., even when the tank is full.... just didn't get it cleaned out completely when I got back & a must do now.

Joy, I am so hungry for a ham but have not seen any good sales.  What I've seen since Thanksgiving & now is way higher than I've bought before.  Do you like the spiral or what kind best?  I'm not going to freeze any ever again, have some in the freezer that is not fit to eat so will take down to the river.  My upright freezer is in a room next to the furnace in the basement & I think that is why things get so much frost in the packages.  My side by side in the kitchen sits over the main floor vent & runs all the time.  Dumbest thing ever to build in a niche for the frig over a furnace vent!  No other place to put it, either.  I'm stalling, better get going.

Larry, I would like to think the salaries of the paid employees show they are sincere about their chosen fields, when they manage the not for profit companies.  Sadly, we see people scam and get greedy and willing to think the worst, usually they are quiet about it.   That is why I was so shocked to hear that lady on TV say what she did.  Glad Pat is better this morning.

Hope everyone's day goes smooth & all jobs done without stress..... Ho! Ho! Ho!.....

Good Morning Everyone One from the
Cold and snowy, and soon
to be icy, rocky coast of Maine.

I am sure glad that we I got out yesterday
with Kelly, before this incumbent weather
began gracing our streets.   It is going to be cold
snowy icy the next few days and then snowy on
Christmas here.

I have all I need until after then.
The holidays are upon us and the
celebrating has begun.

Shirley,  Shirley,  Shirley....  Everytime you
smash your head against a hard surface,  it can
damage your brain.    Concussions are very
very dangerous.  And you should have it checked
out whether you want to or not.  Our poor brains
have no protection inside our skull.   They float in
fluid and when some hard hits them,  they
flip flop around and get hurt.

But of course,  Shirley,  you know this.
And I wish that you would have it checked out
before it is too late.

HUGS from me to the !!!

Happy Hanukkah  and Merry Christmas to all!

I just read this and it touched my heart and I want to share it with anyone who cares to read it.

Two Babes in a Manger--In 1994, two Americans answered an invitation from the Russian Department of Education to teach morals and ethics (based on biblical principles) in the Russian public schools. They were invited to teach at prisons, businesses, the fire and police departments and a large orphanage. About 100 boys and girls who had been abandoned, abused, and left in the care of a government-run program were in the orphanage. They relate the following story in their own words:

It was nearing the holiday season, 1994, time for our orphans to hear, for the first time, the traditional story of Christmas. We told them about Mary and Joseph arriving in Bethlehem. Finding no room in the inn, the couple went to a stable, where the baby Jesus was born and placed in a manger. Throughout the story, the children and orphanage staff sat in amazement as they listened. Some sat on the edges of their stools, trying to grasp every word.

Completing the story, we gave the children three small pieces of cardboard to make a crude manger. Each child was given a small paper square, cut from yellow napkins I had brought with me. No colored paper was available in the city. Following instructions, the children tore the paper and carefully laid strips in the manger for straw. Small squares of flannel (cut from a worn-out nightgown an American lady was throwing away as she left Russia), were used for the baby's blanket. A doll-like baby was cut from tan felt we had brought from the United States.

The orphans were busy assembling their manger as I walked among them to see if they needed any help. All went well until I got to one table where little Misha sat. He looked to be about 6-years-old and had finished his project. As I looked at the little boy's manger, I was startled to see not one, but two babies in the manger.

Quickly,  I  called  for  the  translator  to  ask  the  lad  why  there  were  two  babies  in  the manger. Crossing his arms in front of him and looking at this completed manger scene, the child began to repeat the story very seriously.

For  such  a  young  boy,  who  had  only heard  the  Christmas  story  once,  he  related the happenings accurately - until he came to  the  part  where  Mary  put  the  baby  Jesus in the manger. Then Misha started to ad-lib.

He made up his own ending to the story as he  said,  "And  when  Mary  laid  the  baby  in the  manger,  Jesus  looked  at  me  and  asked me if I had a place to stay. I told him I have no  mamma  and  I  have  no  papa,  so  I  don't have any place to stay. Then Jesus told me I could stay with him. But I told him I couldn't,  because I didn't have a gift to give him like everybody else did. But I wanted to stay with Jesus so much, so I thought about what I had that maybe I could use for a gift. I thought maybe if I kept him warm, that would be a good
gift." So I asked Jesus, 'If I keep you warm, will that be a good enough gift?' And Jesus told me, 'If you keep me warm, that will be the best gift anybody ever gave me.' So I got into the manger, and then Jesus looked at me and he told me I could stay with him' - for always."

As little Misha finished his story, his eyes brimmed full of tears that splashed down his little cheeks. Putting his hand over his face, his head dropped to the table and his shoulders shook as he sobbed and sobbed. The little orphan had found someone who would never abandon nor abuse him, someone who would stay with him - for always.  And the Americans? They had learned the lesson they had come there to teach - that it is not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that really counts. We should all give thanks for the people that "keep us" - in life - and for all of God's many blessings to us: freedom from want, life, love, togetherness.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Good Afternoon,

I am SO glad my friend and I went to lunch yesterday - when it was sunny and "sweater weather".  Not so today!  Temperature just at freezing and news is full of Travelers' Advisories for most of Oklahoma with freezing drizzle and possibly snow later today.

So far today I've done a load of laundry,  baked hot slider sandwiches, made the graham cracker crust for THE chocolate dessert and baked peanut butter cookies that Miss Ellen can eat on her gluten/lactose free diet.  (4 ingredients....sugar, peanut butter, egg and vanilla.)

Currently taking a break for lunch and will then finish the chocolate dessert and bake Snickerdoodles for the rest of the family.

Wishing Everyone Everywhere an Enjoyable Day.

Shirley,  I have not bought a ham for a very long time.   I might buy just a slice of ham once in a while to cut up and fix with scrambled eggs.  I don't like to freeze ham, either.  It just doesn't seem to taste right after it has been frozen,

The ham they had at our luncheon yesterday had come from Walmart.  I was talking to the lady who had donated it and I was asking where it came from, as it was so good.  Hardly any fat on it at all.  And, it was so tender. I just assumed she baked it off a little bit, as it was warm.

We used to have a meat shop up the road from me and they sold actual sliced ham, thin like lunch meat, but the carved it right off the actual ham with the bone in it.  I would get it sliced real thin and it was just delicious.  I had vowed that I would never buy ham lunch meat from a deli anymore.  But, they closed up a few months ago. I sure do miss being able to get it there.

But, one of my friends here told me that she gets sliced ham at Walmart deli and they call it  "Ham off the bone"  and she said she gets it sliced thin and it sounds like it is the same as what I had gotten at the meat store . I have never bought anything from the deli at Walmart.  Since I have been ordering from Walmart online, I did check on their deli section on the grocery website and they have it listed as "ham off the bone", so I have it on my grocery list for the next order I get.

We used to have stores in our area called "Heavenly Ham" but,  I have not seen them advertised for a long time.  And, I don't think I ever bought a Sprial cut ham. I have eaten them, but don;t ever remember buying one. THey are usually good,
Most of the time, when it was a holday or a special dinner, we would be going to somebody else's house,  and I wouldn't be taking any kind of a meat. Whoever was having the dinner would have gotten the main item.

Janie, I looked up c-diff on my computer too. My prayers are going out for your brother. He is a very sick man, and I am sorry, for all of you.We can find peace knowing that our God is in control.

We love you, we need you in this cyber family, and so I am yelling at you to be sensible, and stay safe !!!!!!!!

Jenny…..I emailed it to you.

Hal, you mean you are burning up with fever or did the furnace go on. I woke up all worn out, feeling like I had to fight my way out of the blanket. I'm going to enquire about the "fit-bit" I have read about here. I really feel worn out after seven hours sleep, so something is amiss.

I feel pretty worn our from doing nothing so took myself down to the clinic, and they did my vitals….b.p. was too high…he took my temp. twice but didn't give me the numbers or the blood oxygen #. Head Nurse said she was going order blood test…..which they usually do early in the morning..fasting..Told me to stay in my apartment, which I am very content to do. Body feels pretty weak.

I'm staying in for lunch, I have in my pantry boxes of tuna salad, in a can, with crackers, and it is tasty, and have plenty of other good and easy to fix things, so home is where the heart and the rest of me is.

Joy, you are welcome, you don't really taste the vinegar and it is 1/2 and 1/2 with the broth. I put it on just about everything, eggs salad, potato salad, on my sandwiches, burgers ,hot dogs...and make a mixture of honey, mayo and mustard for chicken fingers. A little bit goes a long way...

Where is Lloyd???

Larry, I think these were the original struts in my van. Sure rides nice now.

Driveway is all cleaned for now, hubby came out to help and the neighbour did the mouth of the driveway with his snow blower..still snowing out too...

As the day wore on my lunch perked me up, so I went down for a program, then home to  a nice nap. Still feeling good, so I will go down for a trout supper, then over to the fireside lounge for a candle light service.

It is still very cool out side so I don't see any walkers. I guess we all need to stay indoors.

June, Happy to hear you perked up :)

So hope the supper and Fireside lounge candlelight service was spectacular.

Be well, do enjoy :)

Amy, the reason I  mentioned about cutting back on the vinegar was because I thought that might be what makes the mustard so "HOT".

But, I am guessing now that it is the amount of the dry mustard.  I have used dry mustard before, but I guess because  I don't use very much of it when I do use it, I don't think of it being real "HOT".  That amount is quite a lot.  I still plan on making up some to try it..  I can always "doctor it up" if I find it to be too hot for me.  I don't mind things a little spicy, just don't really like  food that is really hot.

Thanks again.

JOY, the dry mustard that they sell in the grocery stores is not as hot as the dry mustard that Amy is able to buy so if that's what you'll be using, it won't be really HOT!

My brother is in intensive care and on the critical list.  They've managed to stop the bleeding but they think there might still be some internal bleeding.  There's more but I'm not able to talk about it.  I think of him every minute and I've really bent God's ear today.  When I told my daughter that I feel so helpless and unable to do anything, she said, "Do what you do best!  PRAY!    I'm doing that and I appreciate all the help I'm getting from all of you!  Thank you!

Jane, I am so sorry that you and your family are having to go through this at Christmastime.  It is bad at any time, but we make Christmastime a happy time usually.  I know it is hard on everyone.  My prayers and thoughts are with you.

June, no fever, just to many covers.  sheet and two blankets and the temp outside was about sixty.  Anyhow, it was rainy when I got up around 8 AM and the cold, cold front is now blowing in temps dropped like a rock around dark and I lit the fireplace.  Made things nice and cozy.

Janie, prayers continuing.

Good Night all, Sweet Dreams and God Bless.

JANE, your Brother, Jim, continues to be in my thoughts and prayers.  I am so sorry to read that he is worse.  I know the power of prayers and I am trusting that our good Lord will hear our prayers.

JUNE, I loved your picture and thank you for sending it to me.
Happy to read you perked up and were able to go and enjoy your day.

AMY, the more I read about your mustard the more I would love to have the recipe too, please?  When ever you get a chance, of course.

LARRY, a I enjoyed the story you shared! Thank you.  I do hope Pat continues to feel better and she can get through the holidays with out too much pain.  LOL on keeping my nose to the grind stone!

We watched a couple of specials on TV and I just realized I had not finished this.

Pleasant dreams to all.
