We managed to get a lot of goodies today.....some for us and some for the critters and not just our critters

This was a very good, very productive day! My car came back around 8:30 and Cooper (my great-grand-doggie) came with it.  I was dressed and ready for action so as soon as both doggies had breakfast and an "outing", I gathered up my boxes and hit the UPS store!  All but one item is on the way! And that makes me heave a sigh of relief!  Now if the mail system cooperates....

I picked up my prescription while I was in town and made a quick stop at the hardware store.  Then came home and got ready for my Dr. Appt.  That went well!  I'm in the clear for the next 6 months.

When I got home, I did some cooking, put away the dishes from the dishwasher, took the doggies for a walk, got started on one last package that has to be mailed and tried to relax a bit.

Then my friend who gets candy every year, texted that she'd be leaving work in about 10 minutes and would meet me where we'd agreed to meet.  We did and that's done.

I watched Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire in "Holiday Inn" tonight and that was my day.  Oh yes, we had some snow flurries but not enough to lay.

And now I'm off to the haystack to catch a few zzzzzs!  I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy, healthy, germ-free tomorrow.  And may God bless us, every one!

A light dusting of snow overnight ,again nothing to worry about. Temp is 33° at the moment and it is to be not a bad day out there.

Not sure what hubby wants to do today, he did talk of cheese and chocolate factories so we shall see. I do have gifts to wrap and cards to mail. Count down is on now and need to get it done now!

Good morning everyone. I am having  trouble wi th t his HP mouse.New bat  teries but it is jumping all over the place and it is hard to do anything I want. Bad enough when typing the letters jump and I get spaces in words. Now seems I cannot get to the backspace to get the letters in a word together. Looks like I will have  to send an SOS to my grandson, was hoping to wait till after the holidays but I will go crazy before that. Sent Yvette to the store yesterday for new bat teries and changed the new ones I got in just a few days ago,still the same way if not worse.

Hope everyone is finished their Christmas shopping, I have a box to send to my daughter. She is sad this year,will be the first time she wll not spend with her sons. Her oldest one, my first grandson is 45 so will be a sad  time for all ov tham and me inclu ded,  That is the one time a year I get to see and talk to them on Skype.

Glad I already have the JL cards picked out and the dates to send them.Also 2 birthday cards. I sure would not want to do that now with the problem I am having.

Don't know when I will post again but  will try. Trying to do anything on here is very frustrating. It has taken me over an hour just to ty pe this with the arrow jumping all over the place. I am fine just want to get away from the computer and everything to do with it.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  I slept better last night than I have in about a month.  Was up once and right back to sleep and slept in until after 7.

Cooper isn't coming to spend the day with us.  Frankie overslept and didn't have time to bring him so her neighbor and friend will look after him today.  I'm glad my running round is done because Mickie doesn't like to stay home alone.

I have my list and I've accomplished 2 items already.  Wish me luck on the rest of them.

AMY, I'd go along with you to the CHEESE place but I'm not into chocolate anymore.  I can't wait until this stuff is all out of my fridge and my house! 

PHYLLIS, I hope your leg? is feeling better today!  It's no fun dealing with body parts that hurt!

GLORIA, sure hope your guys can fix you up computer wise!  That stuff can give us headaches! 

Mickie's hollering for her walk so I'll go do that and maybe I'll feel more like getting something done after a bit of activity!  I wish you all a good day....better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.

We just had  a hiccup in the power.No reason why it should go out and thankfully it was only 10 15 min. Earlier we gave the neighbour   a birthday cake and when he phoned teasing that we had put the lights out I told him that he did it blowing out all the candles!

Friends came and picked up items we picked up for them in the city. I did manage to bake some cookies today but need to do the shortbreads.

Jane , Kyle likes Old Sharppe ,that melts in your mouth.I like Blue cheese or any cheese for that matter.

 

Good afternoon from another snowy day in the Interior!

I'm another one who likes different cheeses altho I like the "stinky" types and love discovering new ones! Only five days left on my restrictions, and perhaps I can go back to cheese again. I used to love Roquefort on meat patties and going to parties where we were treated to wonderful boards!

And my day is done. I added two Christmas cards and one Hanukkah to cards, I miss the days when Bubble, Phyllis, Gloria, and I were the cardmakers per Pat, and we did birthdays and all types of greetings. Sometimes others would drop in to add their own greetings before lack of interest shut us down.

We had a little snow flurry this morning that didn't amount to much at all.  It melted on contact with the ground and only lasted about 15 minutes!

I got a lot done today and I'm really tired.  I had one flaw.  I went to get a gift card for my granddaughter who is driving home from Westchester, PA to Tulsa, OK for Christmas.  I didn't know she was doing this until after I'd sent the boxes to Christmas so I got a card ready to send her in Tulsa and I wanted to put a gas gift card in it but they don't take anything but cash for their gift cards and I was hoping to put it on my gas credit card and didn't have enough cash with me to do it.  So I have to do that tomorrow.  And I have to clean for company.

Daughter Christy and her husband and grown up stepdaughter are coming to Lewisburg for the day on Saturday and since she's never been here and I'm still trying to impress him, I want to be as neat and clean as possible. 

AMY and PATRICIA, I'm a cheese lover,too.  I'd pretty much try anything except Limburger.  My dad loved Limburger and the smell turned me off when I was much younger and I haven't been able to even try it ever since.

Where's SHIRLEY, JOY and everyone else who isn't around?

Good morning everyone, hope this works better today. Mouse feels like it is behaving this AM so far. Another cold one at 25 but warmer that the 18 yesterday at this time. We made a batch of fudge yes terday for my son in-law. She stirred and I watched. We both got sp[oons and cleaned the pan, tasted good. We added nu ts t o it  so now I canno t steal a piece of it.

JANE  I don't think I would ever get tired of chocolat e.  Gosh I never heard a fur baby holler. Heard t hem howl though.

AMY  I like a mild cheese and on the soft side. You are like my daughter, she likes blue cheese.

PATRICIA  love the pink in your pictures. I st ill miss doins all those cards we used to do. Heck I st ill miss doing PSP. Have no been able to since I got this computer.  4 years now.

SHIRLEY  no decorations fior me this year. Got rid of my tree last week. Hard enough keeping this place clean. Yvette does more now that is more than her job calls for.

AMY  Yvette has a redipe with dawn and something else for cleaning. I don't remember what.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  We're awaiting the boinger this morning for breakfast and a walk.  We still have a few minutes. 

AMY, my SIL's daughter has only visited PA in the Philadelphia and Pittsburg areas and she thinks PA is a "dirty state".  He's bringing her here to prove that it isn't.  I don't want to contribute to the wrong impression! 

I watched "Christmas in Connecticut" last night with a very young Dennis Morgan and Barbara Stanwyck.  I have it on DVD because it's another of my all-time favorites.  I loved it as much now as I did when I saw it at the movies many, many, MANY years ago!

Almost time for the boinger.  I wish you all a good day, better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.

My favorite cleaning "stuff" has always been water, a squirt of Dawn, and vinegar.  Good for windows and just about everything else...I use it regularly on kitchen counter tops...and it always smells clean to me.

I remember, Patricia.  I miss it, too, but now I don't even have PSP on my computer and have also deleted most of the graphics that I made all those years ago.  But, it was fun at the time and we had a great group of people who worked together.

Good morning EVERYFRIEND from snowy and cold Colorado 🌨 ❄️

I am very upset with my self for leaving my post that I spent a lot of time on this morning...... telephone rang....long conversation and when I returned POOF it was gone....no problem, I did save it! BUT NO, that did not work.

All in all, it is probably a blessing as I had pretty much spoken to ALL of you and went into way too much detail on what I have been up to......so there you have it.

Sadly, the telephone call was to tell us one of our Boston Granddoggies is going over Rainbow 🌈 Bridge at 5 PM EST.  My heat aches for the family as this is so very hard to have to do and is the first time the two grandsons have to experience this😩😪 It is still a blessing that we can do this for our animals, as hard as it is to do.

Oh, Jenny, my sincere sympathy for all. Even if our attachment is so much with the pet, we hurt for the ones that truly will miss them. When our German Shepherd reached the end of her life (as she wanted to live it), I was prepared to take her for that last ride to the vet.... but she saved me from that trip by dying in her bed about midnight the night before. I had taken her in the week before, prepared for what needed to be done, but the vet wanted to try "one more thing" so for a week I watched her suffer and suffered with her. I still almost hold my breath thinking about that whole time. So sorry for all of them to go through this at Christmas. Hugs to all. Shirley

I'm off to the haystack!  I don't expect to get much sleep tonight because Cooper is spending the night with us.  I never sleep well when he's in bed with us.  But I'm gonna try!

I got pretty much accomplished today including meat loaf and scalloped potatoes.  If my company tomorrow is here for lunch, we can have meat loaf sandwiches or some such thing. 

All I have left to do with the candy is pack 3 bags of pb saltines and add them to the goody bags for my family.  I still need to get a couple presents and I don't know what to get.  They might end up with gift cards.

Thank you all for the Hanukah wishes. I am sorry I am so late answering, but this week is extra busy and the reason I am not often popping in to see what is going on.
School is off for two days and Aviv comes for some English lessons. I am very proud of his handwriting in English, he tries so hard. His calligraphy in Hebrew is atrocious.

I see you are all in full swing with Christmas preparations. This year I have been very lazy and have not done anything. I Did not look for presents because most shops are still closed. But Illy bought in my name a scooter for Aviv.  His old one was getting much to small. He likes to speed around the Moshav with it with Illy following  on her bike. 

It is a dull, cloudy morning here but supposed to get up to nearly 70 deg. this afternoon so I'm not complaining.

I spent quite awhile yesterday on the phone with my mail order pharmacy trying to track down some medicine that apparently the post office has lost.  My supply is getting low and the pharmacy was kind enough to give me an "emergency" supply.  It is coming by UPS this time so I think I am a little more confident that it will actually get here. 

Nothing planned today.  I think I have gathered everything in preparation for our Christmas dinner which won't be too elaborate.  One of our family gifts this year is a box of Kansas City Steaks and that will be what we have on Christmas Day.  I ordered an apple pie yesterday and I'll make some sweet potato fries in the air fryer and make up a mixed fresh salad to go along.  Probably doesn't sound traditional to some but it sounds very festive to us.  We don't very often indulge in a good steak.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  I'm up and attem and that's good because my company is on the way.  Christy texted me when they left and it's about a 2 1/2 hour drive to get here. 

BUBBLE, so nice to see you posting.  I hope your Hanukkah Celebration is lovely.  Nice that Aviv likes learning English and nice that he has a new scooter more his size.

I'm as cleaned up as I'm getting for company.  With Cooper here, I don't get as much done as I'd like to so they'll just have to take me as I am. 

Now I'm going to take the doggies for their separate walks.  I just can't handle the slow old lady doggie and the chipper young guy one at the same time.  We do the mailbox run together and that's about a half block one way and it's enough.

Good morning everyone, I was shocked when I woke and saw the time, 9:15. I rushed t o get dressed, my son will be here soon and I am just having my firs t cup of coffee. My other sons present came yesterday, o fruit cake from Swiss Colony. He loves fruit cake and can no longer find it any place anymore. I go him one las t year, too and I think he ate it is a couple of days. Something I never liked and still don't.

JANE I wish they would show Chris tmas in Conn. on T V again. I saw it in the movies years ago and loved it. Have you ever heard Dennis Morgan sing in a movie? Wonderful voice. I always liked Barbara Stanwick, too. Good actress no matter what her part was.

Son has just got here, lat e today. Sorry I have not " talked" tto all of you this morning.

Lloyd, sincere sympathy for the loss of your brother, for sure you will miss him. I've lost all 3 of my brothers now and constantly think of things I want to ask or tell them. We know they are in a better place and not suffering. I believe their Heaven is being with all of our loved ones that have gone before. Hugs to you and the family that will miss him.

If the temp drops we are going to be skating...everywhere!!  Has been raining off and on more on than off though. Snow is going down, birds are eating like crazy out there..
Just hope everyone gets home safe and sound out there.

Thanks everyone. the way so much has gone craze in this world with so many and common séance seems to have gone also. lot of days I would just as soon that god would take me home, If I just do not have to leave Nancy to long. or take us in a tragic manner. there is still good here also.one is getting our grand daughter and family here with us is a great blessing. like this morning the 2 year old boy came up very early and passed out some good hugs and kisses and expressed I Love you. how could you start the day better than that? good night and sweet dreams.

It has been sort of a "downer" day, no reason except not the happy time like other years. I put up all the decorations I plan to drag out this year, none of the great grands or even grands will be over to see them. The little ones are still playing sports and being exposed to all the germs little kids normally bring home. Anyway, I was playing around with u=Tube & found this, I had never seen the group perform this tune so was surprised ... and put a smile on my face. Maybe it will affect y'all the same.
