I was going to say the same. With the four-hour time difference, I usually arrive at the tail end of most discussions anyway, but since it had previously been at the bottom of Forums, that's where I went when I saw his question on alerts.

We're in the deep freeze with minus forty to minus forty-five for lows, and we'll stay there until the first week of February.

Well PATRICIA, not a WARM day but so far safe, nice. I'll take it. Of course, compared to your temps, I guess you could say it was warm around here but so far this past couple of weeks it's been a very cold winter for this area.

I'm off to the haystack. Cooper will be arriving tomorrow pretty early and I have to be ready. Sleep well and wake happy! I wish you a good day tomorrow!

Starting off at 13° and they say high winds today. Jane, I bet the winds are going to be lazy winds.

Making mustard today along with getting some laundry done. Usual household chores to be taken care of.

Good Morning! I'm ready and waiting for Cooper's arrival today!

AMY, I hope that wind isn't "lazy"! Our temp at this point is only 1 degree higher than yours. We;re registering 14 right now but we're expecting a high of 34. That gets us out of the freezing zone for a couple of hours. I'll take it!

Not a lot planned for today. Maybe something in the Crock Pot....maybe not! A couple of walks with Cooper and I'll have to love him up a bit. I wish you all a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow!

Good morning, It's minus 39 with an expected high of minus 28. It's forecasted to be even colder as this spell of frigid weather continues. We'll see warming trends the first week of February.

I'll be spending my time indoors with the usual chores, Kindle and computer. Our meet and greets report the same. The city and schools don't stop, the schools will stay open as long as heavy ice fog doesn't form. It is extremely difficult to see pedestrians, especially small ones, during heavy ice fog.

"A type of fog, composed of suspended particles of ice, car exhaust, pollution, partly ice crystals 20 to 100 μm in diameter, but chiefly, especially when dense, droxtals 12-20 μm in diameter. It occurs at very low temperatures, and usually in clear, calm weather in high latitudes."

Just a quickie...AMY, our temp made it out of the freezing zone for about 2 hours today! I hope that's an omen! Dinner's in the ove and I'm going to make a trip to the mailbox. i am with you, who needs all theses fancy extras., and that are now cropping up in different places....i like basic as it once was way back when we first started...or even last week...
I very much expect Lloyd to find his way around this new layout, he got lost before...it is not the same now without his daily posts...yes, Lloyd hasn't shown in three weeks...is it time to be concerned...

Good morning.

Snow did not amount to much..by the sounds of it those to the south have a lot snow.
We are off to the city , a quick trip in and back before the next snow or rain fall. With the threat of rain coming I cleaned off the snow on the sunroom roof yesterday. I would imagine a lot of cottagers are worried about their roofs.

The snowmobilers are having fun now that there is more than enough snow to run on and the cross country ski trails are now open.

Good Morning! I'm here but not for long! The roads are supposed to be bad this morning and Frankie said she's going to try to get an earlier start this morning. So Cooper might be along soon!

All your complaints sound like the ones I use to my kids about my cell phone. I tell my daughter that if the river was closer, it would be going for a swim daily because when it doesn't do as I tell it, I'd give it a toss. However, I really think it's the times! I remember my grandmother saying some of the things about our house phones that I say about my cell phone! You don't think we're all getting old, now do you?

Good Morning EVERYFRIEND.

It takes me awhile to get through reading the posts but I sure enjoy reading them. My neck brace is very limiting as far as having my laptop in front of me and being able to type, so forgive me for not getting in here more often. It will improve for sure.

Overall I am doing very well. My PT is very pleased with my hurt shoulder....she says moving it around tells her it is definitely going to be able to have it back in working order again and the torn rotator cuff WILL heal in time. She has been also working on my bad shoulder and says she thinks this spine surgery may prove to give me a bit more movement in time. She wants me to do as much as I possibly can to use my left arm to try to teach it to do more things. I am doing my best but I am a righty all the way🤣🤣🤣.

Unfortunately, my surgeon does not want anything done for two months on my neck / spine so she is limited at what she can do with the overall exercises.

My postop appointment went great. My surgeon showed us exactly what he had done and he was very proud of his work. He was shocked at how much worse the area was and wondered how I was able to get by as long as I did. We have already noticed a big change in how I walk.

I do not like taking the drugs, so used them only for a couple of days and have been getting most of my pain relief from icing and heating the area.

To the city and back before the roads got nasty!!! Just have a few things to put away and "run a chicken" over to the neighbours and then I can continue on with the day. Seems to me I have laundry to fold and put away but first things first , my cuppa tea.

Jane,well said!!! I am still not a fan of my cell phone and use it mainly for emergencies or to meet family in town. Since Michael is footing the bill for this I am thankful for all he does in keeping us together.

And speaking of the "right direction", I'm heading for the haystack soon. I got up too early and I didn't squeeze in a nap today. My eyes don't want to look at anything or see anything1 So I'm going to give them the night off!

Tomorrow, I have to arrange all my eye drops and heating of yes around lunch out with my former co-workers from Pennsylvania House Furniture office. We try to do this once a month and I wasn't able to do the last two so I'm really looking forward to this one. I think I have it figured out including having Cooper here. Not gonna be easy but it will be nice to see them all again!

Good Morning Everyfriend! We have a whole day out of the freezing zone today! The temps are a low of 33 and a high of 44! Yay!!!!

I'm just waiting for some daylight to go for a walk with Cooper and then I'll be doing what I must to get ready for my lunch out with friends.

AMY, the mustard is all finished and in jars (I have 7 half-pints). Only one didn't seal so that one went in the fridge beside the almost-empty one. I'll be tasting it later today! I'll let you know how I did.

Good morning...

Well, the rain came making everything slick! When it gets day break we will sand the walkin areas and out back for the dogs. Managed to get our snow clean up and out of the way yesterday.

Working around home catching up on things that got left behind others days.

Jane, neighbour and I had the same thoughts and we bought vegetable seeds...are we wishing winter away???

Patricia,we are to get more rain on Fri making everything one giant skating rink. How is your weather, did you get much snow?

Ok Miss Jane, I know you were out and about with your friends yesterday. Are you still snuggled in bed???

We went to the township depot and picked up 3 partial pails of sand, with the threat of more freezing rain we are going ot need it. Vacuumed sealed a bbq chicken for the freezer, took a raw chicken breast sliced ,pounded it ready to put stuffing in and roll up. Not sure if I am going to wrap it in bacon or just as it is with a bit of mayo so it doesn't dry out when cooking. Laundry in dryer and lots of work yet to do but.......maybe it won't get done today.

Good Morning Everyfriend! I was up before the crack of dawn and Cooper arrived before the crack of dawn. I fed him, worked on my eyes and put some stuff away and then made the bed/ By that time, it was light enough for our first walk of the day. We managed to be at the school bus stop before the bus got there and Cooper got lots of pets from the kids who know he doesn't bite but loves petting!

When we got home, it was time for eyes again and then I got to reading the paper for today and doing the crossword puzzle! I have some soup thawing and heating for my lunch and it's starting to smell so good, I might have to eat lunch early! No outside activities today so maybe so inside cleaning....or maybe not!

I have some very good mustard made over AMY'S recipe. I made a slight change that she knows about because I was missing one ingredient. I might have to miss that ingredient the next time, too! The change of ingredients was good! It's not a lot different but I can tell because I did it that way.
