Jenny, Good Morning dear friend. My elec. cart is residing in Gary's storage shed. I really need to keep walking as much as possible, so I have a four wheel cart that has a seat, if I need to sit down. And that cart is my good friend that lets me dance with it. It has front wheels that swivel, so I can twist and turn on a dime (almost). And it keeps me balanced, which is what I need. I'm so glad you have a nice deck to enjoy the scenery. You do have a good "honey" as a husband. You are a perfect couple.

Junee, I am sitting here stuffing Kellogs frosted flakes into my mouth. I have an appt. downstairs with a Chiropodist in exactly one hour, and still have to dress in appropriate clothes, but I want to be with you all here as long as possible this morning.

Gotta scoot now. June
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Good morning, Larry.  It's too bad that troublemakers can't find better things to do than break people's windows.

Gloria--Good morning.

Good morning, Callie.  Glad you caught up on your sleep.  It's nice that you and your friends get together for breakfast after church.  In Arkansas, a group of 8 went out on Tues. and Sat. for breakfast.

Janie--It looks OK to me, too.

Good morning, June.  I wish I had an "on site" chiropodist.:)

Good morning, Sandy.

Just completed form online, requesting a Blue Badge, ( disabled parking badge ) at Rs suggestion...so many questions, its like asking how long is a piece of string....it really will be a 50 - 50 whether I get it or get turned down....
.........................
They are starting on our outside work very soon, R left a message last week and no one came back, left another message, someone came back and said owner is on holiday, then looked at the worksheet and told R, we are next on the list, wasn't quite expecting to hear that, but we were told the work would take place this month....this will be a three day job, taking lower panels off, side brick like panelling, sealing, replacing lower border only, not the sides, then painting with a Parkhome specialist paint, a paint previous owners had used an inferior paint which voided the transfer over of warranty....This will prevent rain, flooding seeping into our home....Man R spoke with is coming tomorrow afternoon to check what's what...
........................
We are also expecting carpet man being sent with a book of samples, this is from the Insurance company, re, our flooding of a few weeks ago, yes these companies sure know how to speed things up...not.... ::)
............................
Been so many helicopters going over today, some I hear but don't see, but i know they are very low, just not looking out the window in the right direction....
Edited, R just told me he saw them, and they are military....wonder where our nearest base is?
...........................

Jane S, I can see your weather thingy, and its working fine.... :)

halkel

Good Morning Everyone!

As usual, it seems, running late in doing things.  Been on the phone making yet another doctors appointment for a follow-up, still have my cleaning appointment to make with the dentist.

Had to go down and pick up our cleaning lady and she is busy as can be.

Neighbor boy across the street is suppose to be over to trim up some things for my wife, but he hasn't shown up.   :-\

Joanie, hope the TS brings the rain you need but no damage to you or others, I saw http://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/florida-braces-for-flooding-from-tropical-depression-3-storm-colin-atlantic-hurricane/57892834 where you are to get flooding rains.

Everyone have a great day.

Chia

JaneS..I seem to  be Odd Person Out...when clicked  on, I cannot see the temperature in your home state...Weird things are happening...

JoanFL

Vanilla-Jackie--Here, in order to get a disabled parking placard, the form must be filled out by a doctor.

halkel--I know the modules are showing we're to get the storm--but seems it is "iffy" where I am--very close to the east coast of FL.

Chia--I don't have to click on anything to see Janie's (or anyone elses) weather thingy.

JaneS

Something happens that we don't know about but it seems Chia does.  I clicked on someone's weather thingy and I got all kinds of information about the weather where that person lives.  That doesn't happen when you click on mine.   But the directions that Chia sent me by email don't work.  She said to go to the profile and then scroll to the "signature: and to the right of that there is the address of my weather thingy.  There's no address so the rest of the instructions don't mean anything.  If anyone knows what to do here, please tell me.

Janie ...
It looks like your name is too close
to the weather symbol

Try putting a space in there or
deleting your name for now.

I'm afraid I can't see that well enough right now to make any changes.  Maybe tomorrow morning when my eyes are fresh for the day, I'll check it out.

Janie--OK, now I see what you mean.  Chia is smarter than I am.  I've never bothered to click on anyone's weather thing.  I don't have a clue how to fix yours.

Gloria

My CNA just left. Had a good back massage and back feels good now. Have supper simmering. A small boiled dinner. Since there really was not much  for her to do today she got to my shredding. Filled 2 bags. She had a break and something got done that I kept putting off.

JOAN   yes my son got my meds and groceries Saturday.

CALLIE  of course you will be very careful picking those stewards. They must work and cook great and be easy on the eyes too.

JUNE  that whole quote is “the love of money is the root of all evil”

MOLLY  thoughts and prayers follow Chaps on his trip and the time he is away from home. They go with Mohamed, too.

GLORIA de  like you yesterday was cool but I  have the AC on again.

AMY  we had thunderstorms in the forecast for yesterday afternoon and during the night.  Had rain at times wind driven but no storms.

JANE  I am for cherry red. Don't want people to think there is a fire in the area.

CALLIE  see my message to Jane above, I cast my vote.

JUNEE  wonder if all of us when we were young thought of a T D & H. I sure missed out on that, mine was short dark and pretty good looking.

JOAN  know it is late but I know you still have some bear claws. Love them almost as much as the lemon DD's. Like the chuckles. Would like to give that to the lady here with the guide dog. I just copied Free Pass. Your quote today is so true. If I cannot be nice to others than I don't deserve much.

LLOYD  hope you have better dreams tonight.

JUNEE  bear claws taste better than they look.

SHIRLEY  I am with you. First hot day when I turn the AC on I start longing for the end of September.

JACKIE  slow internet would have me pulling my hair out. When I first started on a computer I had dial up and when I finally got cable I thought I was in heaven.

PHYLLIS  after yesterday's rain I thought it would be dry and cooler today. It is less humid but for me still too hot. Anything over 75° and I am ready for the AC.

LARRY  I have never thought your posts were too long and always interesting.

JANE  I see your temperature and now it is 81° there.

HAL  I have to make my appointments when I know I can get transportation. That is when I really miss having a car to come and go as I liked.

JOAN  when I asked the doctor I used to go to about a parking tag he told me I would need to know a politician and then cross his palm with money. That is how lazy he was. I asked the orthopedic doctor who did my hand surgery, he told me to go online to get the form and fill it out for him to sign. No wonder I found a different doctor.

Joan, I am sure that wont be the end of it, I am sure they will need extra proof, maybe written cofirmation of my MS diagnoses from hospital.....

Gloria, have you tried a Shiatsu massage? I had a couple of those at my old MS Therapy Centre....no Therapy Centre near here, have to travel 30 or 40 miles to my nearest one, seems our nearest closed not too long ago....the Shiatsu works on your whole body, well the ones I had sure felt good....

Halkel, I hope by now neighbour boy has shown up, nothing worse than waiting on someone who lets you down without any explanation....

Mary Ann

Jane, your temperature shows 80 degrees on my computer and when I click on it, nothing happens.

When I got my handicap license plate, I went online to see what to do, found a form to fill out and sent it to my doctor.  He signed it and returned it to me and I took it to the SOS office.  They gave me a tag to use until the plate came in the mail, but I use the tag in case I'm with someone who does not have a handicap plate.  I since have sold my car so Tom took my registration to apply for a plate when he got a car.

Looking at radar, I see Colin is going across Florida, but I think the storm is going a bit north of Melbourne, at least you hope so, don't you, Joan?!

This is not the time of year Norm and Dot would be in Florida, but I am sure Colin will hit Sun City Center, south of Tampa.

You'll laugh but my first thought of T, D & H was Tom, Dick and Harry!

MaryAnn, and why not?......  :2funny:

Well you did say I'll laugh....

junee

Mary Ann,

Now I did not know T,D, and Harry but was always looking for a Tall,Dark and Handsome.

Even though I do not have a car or drive anymore a able to get a handicap parking ticket as need a driver at times to get places.  Now to go see G H.

Mary Ann

Jackie and Junee, While I didn't have any Tom, Dick or Harry in my younger days, I also did not have any Tall, Dark and/or Handsome either.  I was 33 when the first Tom came into my life (nephew Tom), then Jim's son, Tom, was born a few years after.  Instead of T, D and H, I had T, T and T (Tim, Tom and Terry - Tock)!

Mary Ann

JoanFL

Gloria--There are times I wish I had somebody to give me a massage.  So far, I can do the shredding--really don't have much to do.

Vanilla-Jackie--Guess each locale has different rules for getting a handicapped tag.  My pulmonologist filled a form all out and then I had to go to the DMV to get the tag.

Mary Ann--Reports say that the storm is going north of Melbourne--and I am glad about that.

Junee--I know several who don't drive anymore, but have handicapped tags for when someone drives them somewhere.

There is a part in both Weymouth and Dorchester, (both in separate directions...) where it has become pedestrianised...just a walkway with various shops and businesses, so looking for the easiest place for parking is becoming quite a chore...so thank heavens for Google Map, it allows one to travel before you leave home....

Now for the tall dark and handsome, T D or Harry's.....Junee, if you ever come across them, see if they have any twin brothers... ;)

I can still legally drive, just that my confidence in driving has now gone...I also got rid of my second hand car just before moving, our local mobile mechanic who helped me to get it from an elderly couple who could drive no more, managed to sell it on to the owner of the garage he deals with for MOTs...
R plans on buying his next Vauxhall fleet car, we've already chosen the colour, order is already in....R should get a good deal on it being an ex employee....once he has been driving it from new for a few months, then it becomes second hand, and he gets the discounted price...

I married T,D, and H.  Tom was a little over 6 ft. tall, had almost black wavy hair, and in my eyes he was handsome til the day he died.  By then he was 81 yrs, had shrunk to 5' 10", had wrinkles and a little bit of a paunch....but he was still handsome.....to me.

My doctor asked me the last time I saw her if I thought I needed the handicap plate and she would make out the request for me but I told her not quite yet.  I try to park out a little farther in the parking lot and walk to the store with the help of my rollator.  After all, it is about the only exercise I get anymore.  However, the day is coming, I'm pretty sure, and faster than I think.

Gloria, I have been meaning to tell you how very nice your graphic on the Home Page is for this month.  I love the delicate blues and the butterflies.

I just cleaned out the fridge and now I need a cup of tea and a little rest.  That is not one of my favorite jobs.

Jane, your weather thingy was a little different from what other people have, with a link to information about current weather and forecast for your area.  I fixed it to match the others.   :)

I had a tall, dark and handsome in my second marriage, trouble is he and others thought so too.

JoanFL

Vanilla-Jackie--One day you might need to drive, so it's good to keep your license current.

Phyllis--Ray was T, Sandy haired and H to me--even the last few years when he was so sick.  I just can't walk far at all without being breathless--that's why I have the handicapped tab.

Jeanne Lee--Nice of you to fix that for Janie.

angelface--:) :)

Frombabamail.com with a letter to Social Security;

"'Many years ago, I married a widow out of love who had an 18-year-old daughter. After the wedding, my father came to visit a number of times, and suddenly he fell in love with my step-daughter. My father eventually married her without my authorization.
As a result, my step-daughter legally became my step-mother and my father my son-in-law. My father's wife (also my step-daughter) and my step-mother, gave birth to a son who is my grandchild because I am the husband of my step-daughter's wife. This boy is also my brother, as the son of my father.

All at once, my wife became a grandmother, because she is the mother of my father's wife. Therefore, it appears that I am also my wife's grandchild. A short time after these events, my wife gave birth to a son, who became my father's brother-in-law, the step-son of my father's wife, and my uncle. My son is also my step-mother's brother, and through my step-mother, my wife has become a grandmother and I have become my own grandfather.

In light of the above mentioned, I would like to know the following: Does my son, who is also my uncle, my father's son-in-law, and my step-mother's brother fulfill the requirements for receiving childcare benefits?

                                                                                   Sincerely yours,

                                                                                   Charles Wright''
