Hi JaneS
Thanks for the good wishes.

I might just drop in now and again!

JoanFL

Good morning, Phyllis.  You could skip the hair appointment and grow those braids you've talked about.:)

Bubble--For sure I'm smiling to be back.

Kelly--It's nice to see you posting here in the SS.

Here and there, now and then, and everywhere!

Phyllis I'd love to see you in braids - like Pippy-Long-stocking?

Good morning Joan

Thanks for the welcome, I might post a bit more on Soda Shoppe

I am so lucky that this week was a quiet one at the library and I could give more attention here to get the word around about  our return to the net.  I can also post more and compete with Kelly ha ha ha

Kelly

Hi Bubble
Competition is good!  :)

JaneS

Good Morning Everyfriend!  I'm a bit late getting here this morning due to the fact that we (the doggies and I) slept in this morning and then I remembered that I had to make dog food.  I totally forgot about it last night but when you're sitting around with droopy eyelids, forgetting things is the best thing you do.

I wonder if anyone found Lloyd yet.  I miss his humor and I wonder if the cows are in and the skidster is working and if they've had rain and how Nancy's doing and if the sun is shining in Missouri and if he'll raise turkeys this summer....

I'm off to the scour the cupboards to see if I have all the contents of my son's favorite casserole.  It's his reward for getting my taxes done early this year.  If I don't have everything, I'll be making a quick run to the store.

I wish you all a good day!

Jane, can I come and share a bit of that casserole?  I am tired of my own cooking.

Phyllis, that one is beautiful.  We need color after all the grey of winter.

Good Morning Everyone...
from the cool but very sunny,
rocky coast of Maine.

Today is the last day of March  and hopefully
Winter is behind us here in the North East....  but
then again,  you never,  ever, know for sure..
(But we can hope!)

I hope that everyone has a good day and
can get their names/aliases straightened out.

Soon this will all be "Old Hat"

Hi everyone on a cloudy morning with rain in the forecast for us this afternoon.  It is now in the 60's and is to get up to 79 later today.  Just my usual Thursday planned with going to coffee this morning and then to the Wisdom group at church.  The rest of the day will be free.

Jeanne and others, a few minutes ago I called Lloyd on Skype to tell him we were missing him here in this discussion.  He has not yet been able to get signed on so I explained the process and what to expect to him advising that everyone had the same problem initially on these reconstituted discussions.  I think he hadn't understood the difference between the Login and the Register functions.  He said he had overworked yesterday and was planning on working hard again today so he may not make it again today but he seems to be OK.

Gloria De, glad you identified yourself as wasn't making the connection with your new Login name of Lindancer.

Gloria, you have given me an idea.  I am going to try to get the email address for  as many of the folks here and in the other discussions on S&F's  as I can into my contacts and put all of these names in a group so if something like this happens again I would be able to forward on a message like Pat sent out.  I make no promise I will have everyone in the group and certainly not in many of the discussions I don't follow but at least it would be a start.

Joy, hard to believe it is time for another baseball season but know it will start this next week as you indicated.

Bubble, thank you for putting in the easy explanation for getting our pictures back under our Log-In names for our postings.  I had forgotten the process so copied it and emailed it to myself so I can access it in the future.  I don't like to reinvent the wheel.  :)

Kelly, glad the IOM has at least one person posting here.  You are a good representative of your country and share such interesting information about it from time to time.

JaneS, Lloyd told me the reason he worked so long yesterday was that he is using a skidster than a friend has loaned him and wants to get as much done as he can before the friend comes back for his equipment, which could be today.

Joan, so good to see you back posting and sharing all of the thinigs you find for us including that beautiful spring graphic.  It looks like your test went well for the posting.

JoanFL

Good morning, Jane.  Last I knew, Lloyd was having difficulty registering.  I sent him several emails, but haven't seen him yet.

Good morning, Sandy.  This is just a bit of a challenge for us.

Larry--Good morning.  You'll see that graphic again Sunday if I can insert it in Sunday's "stuff".

We lost all the graphics, so Phyllis is trying to get some to me.  Excuse the "dust".

Hi Larry
Good to see you posting.

Larry,   thanks for taking good care of LLoyd ...
Everyone here can use a helping hand sometime.
I am very grateful for all of the help that Jeanne Lee
has given me.

Good Morning, Everyfriend,

I'm up, dressed and have the bed made - in preparation for the delivery/installation of a new washer and dryer.  About 10 days ago, my 9-year-old washer "suffered a fatal incident"  (i.e., burned out).  Dryer is the same age and there was a discount for buying both - so I did!

When I was at my son's house for Easter dinner, I did a couple of laundry loads - but the hamper is running over again, of course.

Loved the Chuckle about the wife's comment on the unnecessary roughness call.

True story (according to her):  A friend's new husband took her to the first football game she'd ever seen and began to explain the positions on the team.  She understood "linemen" (in a line), "halfback" (2 of them) and "fullback" (1) - so when he pointed out the quarterback, she logically asked, "Where are the other three?"

Off to wait on that call saying "we'll be there in 30 or 40 minutes" - which can come anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Wishing Everyfriend Everywhere a lovely day.

MaryTX

Good morning...

Wednesday's storms without the hail rolled in about 5PM with 70 MPH winds and sideways rain and thankfully no hail.  Tornado sirens went off - no tornadoes but to inform people about the winds etc. The sirens are really just a warning system about bad weather, but here  in "Tornado Alley", everyone immediately thinks tornado!  Beautiful blue skies and sunshine this morning.  Except for the wet grass and lower humidity, you wouldn't know it rained :).

I have two different email addresses for Jackie (Vanilla) so sent an email to both explaining what happened.  She was supposed to get internet access yesterday so hopefully at least one of them will reach her.

When I signed back in, I automatically used my old name.  Sandy was able to change hers so think I will try to change mine and maybe even find a new picture.

Y'all have a good day.

Mary

Gloria

Good morning everyone. Slept late again, making up for waking too early for me yesterday.

KELLY doing  OK for and ole lady. Nice seeing you here again.

MARY ANN  I saw about the tornado threat in Oklahoma on the news last night. When ever I hear about terrible weather where one of our “family” lives I think of them right away and pray they and their families are safe.

ANDIE  looks like your new great granddaughter is going to be the princess of the family being the only girl born in 21 years.

JANE  I thought Jackie said she would be getting a new email address with the move.  I do have her email address so when I finish here I will send and email to that and see what happens.

HAL  you beat me to it about Jackie.

DON  I have used the word putz to myself when I have done something that messed up.

SATO  nice seeing you here in the Soda Shoppe.

JOAN  good seeing your avatar back in place. A lemon poppy seed muffin looks good this morning. Chuckles the roughness is what I dislike about football and will not watch. Same with hockey. Thank you for all today's goodies. So good seeing your morning post again.

BUBBLE  good morning.

AMY  we have dry sunshine here.

PHYLLIS  the hair cut in more important than grocery shopping at times.

JANE  I miss Lloyd, too. What time do we have dinner? I don't want to be late for your casserole.

BUBBLE  I am having trouble cooking anything these days.

JOAN  your test worked. Yippee.  We need those colors to welcome us back.

LARRY  I do have email addresses of quite a few who post here. You have a good idea. Glad you talked to Lloyd. He does work too hard.

CALLIE  good seeing you here this morning.

Hi Gloria
Nice to post again.

Good morning, Callie.  Appliances sure don't last as long as they used to.  I had my first washer and dryer for 20 years.

Good morning, redbud--Those were some awful storms you had.  I saw the news coverage of some of it.

Gloria--Good morning.  Phyllis is so kindly hunting some graphics, since we lost all we'd had for years.

Hi Kelly.

Joan, I have a trove of graphics on photobucket that you can use in any way you want.

Bubble--How can you get them to me?

I had to run to the store for one ingredient for the casserole but I did another chore while I was there.

Bubble and Gloria....The casserole will be ready around 6 but it makes a lot so I'll put the extra in the hidey hole for anyone who gets hungry.  (We DO have a hidey hole in our new place, don't we)

I got my washer and dryer both new when I moved to this house and that will be 19 years in May.  I've had one service call on the dryer and all they did was blow the lint out of the hose.  And I've had two service calls on the washer and both of those were due to Frankie stuffing too much stuff in the washer.  I guess Amana still made good stuff 19 years ago.

Better go find some lunch.  Ya'll behave....or not!

Appliances installed - and the first of several loads is in the washer.

Gloria mentioned tornadoes in Oklahoma.   The squall lines formed just east of I-35  - which meant seeing some spectacular cloud formations from my house, which is farther west - but no storms at all in my area.

MaryTX

Hi....

With the help and assistance of Jeanne Lee and Sandy, I got my name changed.

I'm now MaryTX.  I started out in the old SeniorNet with redbud and just continued with it.

Joan, things are really taking shape again
