After all you are THE representative of  the Island  here.

Kelly

Hi Bubble
The only Isle of Man member, but are there any UK members as I have not seen Vanilla on the new site.

Kelly

so_P_bubble

Did anyone tell Vanilla we are back?  I don't have her e-mail!

Kelly

Hi Bubble
I did contact Vanilla on the older site on a PM, but I don't have her email address.

Kelly

so_P_bubble

Hopefully someone will have it and connect to her.

halkel

Bubble I found an old email address for Vanilla (Jackie) and sent her an email last night.  But she may not have the same email provider.  Keep you fingers crossed.

Good Morning Everyone!

so_P_bubble

Hal, I don't think she changed it of late.  We need her here, also for Cards and Paintshop - as soon as this discussion will be opened.
So hopefully we 'll see her.

Hi everyone on a cloudy morning with rain in the forecast for us this afternoon.  It is now in the 60's and is to get up to 79 later today.  Just my usual Thursday planned with going to coffee this morning and then to the Wisdom group at church.  The rest of the day will be free.

Just a suggestion for those who do not use their name (or have changed their recognized alias due to the re-establishment of these discussion) it would be helpful if at the end of the posting the actual name all of us know you by was included.  I do understand that some folks are not comfortable actually using even their first name in open discussion and I certainly respect that decision.

MarsGal

Morning all!

I see that no one has set up a discussion in the Animal Shelter yet. Too bad, I wanted to share a news item or two about some local critter happenings. One is the webcam for the Bald Eagles that are being monitered south of here, and the other is a news item about a pony that was abandoned at a horse auction. The pony, who is blind in one eye, was hit with about 140 paintballs and was very sore as a result. The pony is being treated and cared for now, and they got the guy who transported the pony to the auction, but the perpetrators of the piantball attacks are still unkown.

so_P_bubble

What a sad story, MarsGal.  I hope  the discussion will be open soon and we can hear more about the birds.  I would do it for you but I cannot remember how.

Kelly

Hi Larry
I was kelly on the older site, but now Kelly.

Kelly

Hi MarsGal
I saw the article about the pony being hit with over 100 paintballs last week.

The poor pony, I hope they find those responsible!

Sandy

Good Morning Everyone...
from the cool but very sunny,
rocky coast of Maine.

Today is the last day of March  and hopefully
Winter is behind us here in the North East....  but
then again,  you never,  ever, know for sure..
(But we can hope!)

I hope that everyone has a good day and
can get their names/aliases straightened out.

Soon this will all be "Old Hat"
:crazy2:

Hi Sandy
A good morning to you

Kelly

Mary Ann

Larry, when my user name was matock, it was surprising how many replies I would get under that name regardless of the fact I signed every post with Mary Ann.  Therefore, I asked to have my user name changed.  I still sign my posts with Mary Ann.  Many people did address me as Mary Ann, but not all.  This way, how can they miss!!!

It's rainy here today but we should get to the low 60s.  Then, believe it or not, a chance of snow on Saturday.  Snow was in the Monday forecast, but they took that out.

Mary Ann

so_P_bubble

I almost always called you Matock because in Hebrew that means "sweet" and I think it suits you.

Mary Ann

Bubble, thank you.  That's the nicest thing that has been said to and about me in ages.  I have a sweet tooth and I'll just have to eat more sweets to stay that way!!!  In that case, you may continue to call me Matock.

We are having a wet day so far.  Annie's cat likes to roll around on the front stoop, but he just looks out the door now.

Mary Ann

Joy

Mary Ann,  I think I have tried to always address you as Mary Ann.

But, I have to laugh about something.  Everytime I would see "matock" , I would think the "ma" stood for "Mom".  It took me a while to realize that the "ma"  stood for Mary Ann.   You will always be Mary Ann now.

Bubble, I think that the Hebrew name is very appropriate for our "Matock".  She is a sweet person.

Joy, I never connected the "ma" with Mary!  For me it was like 'sweet mom'.  Talk about associations.  I figured she was like a sweet mom for Norm's boys.

I clearly remember March came in to Annapolis like a lamb.  Well, it is not exactly lion like on this, its last day, but it is MORE lion like than when it came in.  We are sunny for a while, and then cloudy for a while, but both with a pretty stiff, almost knock you down breeze.

JeanneP

Finely found where you were all hiding.  Looks like I am a Newbie again.  Need to find out how to put a new Avatar in along with putting a shortcut on my desktop.  I have instruction some place

Oh!  spell check not working here. Can't manage without that.

The Tech's did a good fast job setting us up again. Thanks
JeanneP

JeanneP

MaryAnn.  Can you put the Grand Haven site under your postings again. I usually go in it from there.

I have completely forgotten at the moment how to put shortcuts onto my desktop. also how to put a Avatar back in.

Will have to go back into my Brain Box.

Hi Everyone
Good to see so many posts

JeanneP, I just drag with left click the URL that is on the top line of the browser unto the desktop and this makes a useful link to the place I want to keep.

JeanneP, I was unable to post this link, but if you want to put it in your Favorites (or Bookmark), this is it.  It's windy today so lots of whitecaps (whitehorses to Kelly).

Mary Ann

MaryTX

Mary Ann, I also have the Lake Superior Duluth webcam bookmarked.  They have had a lot of whitecaps (horses) in the canal recently also.  It was so foggy there yesterday, you could hardly see the ships when they went thru.

MaryAnn.  What you just put in works fine.  I keep wanting to type Matock also.  I have to keep mine the same. Just can't remember them if I get to many now.

Bubble. Now I could always do that way in order to get them on Desktop but will not work on this time.

There was the way on the Learn How here. They have all gone now.

I guess we did not make it up to 1000 on the Quirks we were doing.. They are gone.

Mary Ann

Jeanne, if you are referring to Quips, it is alive and kicking.

MaryTX, I have the Duluth scene in my favorites, but not in my profile.  It is a very interesting site, especially when you can get the ship going into the channel then going under the bridge.
