Please post here your prayers and spiritual thoughts to help us as we cope with this Corona Virus Pandemic

Vanilla-Jackie

A daily prayer

who alone makes us dwell in safety:
For all who are affected by coronavirus,
through illness or isolation or anxiety,
that they may find relief and recover:

For those who are guiding our nation at this time,
and shaping national policies,
that they may make wise decisions:

For doctors, nurses and medical researchers,
that through their skill and insights
many will be restored to health:

For the vulnerable and the fearful,
for the gravely ill and the dying,
that they will know your comfort and peace:

We commend ourselves, and all for whom we pray,
to the mercy and protection.
Have mercy
Here our prayer,

~ Amen.

Vanilla-Jackie

A prayer for the world

God of love and hope,
you made the world and care for all creation,
but the world feels strange right now.
The news is full of stories about Coronavirus.
Some people are worried that they might get ill.
Others are anxious for their family and friends.
Be with them and help them to find peace.
We pray for the doctors and nurses and scientists,
and all who are working to discover the right medicines
to help those who are ill.
Thank you that even in these anxious times,
you are with us.
Help us to put our trust in you and keep us safe.

~ Amen

Thank you Jackie for the very well-meaning prayers.  I find reading them to be very helpful.  I do find myself at certain times just trying to get myself together and try to focus on something else.

And, thank you, Jane, for providing these 2 new boards. I am sure they will be very much appreciated by all.

Jane - Thank you for setting up these new discussions.

Jackie - Thank you for sharing the prayers. We need to have faith during these trying times. So many are hurting physically, mentally and financially.

Vanilla-Jackie

Whatever our religion the one thing we are all doing is praying for this to stop " NOW, " end, just go away, enough is enough, we daily keep praying for this miracle, as we ask the question as to, " WHY. "

Jackie - Thank you for posting, "We Shall Overcome".  There are lots of inspirational songs out there, and I'm going to look on my YouTube list, and see what I can find that our members might enjoy listening to.

As long as i hear the birds singing, there still is life out there...

Judy B ( sister of Pat Scott Halbach, admin, deceased ) posted this on our Christian site today..Matt Redman

Jackie  -  Thank you for posting the inspirational videos.  The lyrics to ""Take Heart", describe how I was feeling this morning when I woke up.  I'm much better now, and will continue to carry on, and have faith that things will soon be looking up.

Marilyne, if it is any comfort, remember Bob Marley sang " Change is gonna come " its been a long, long time coming, oh yes it will...

Jenny...
...seems this C Virus is not choosy in who it chooses to take hold of...just hope and pray your childhood friend is one our luckier ones who will survive it...

Here in UK they are now counting the C Virus dead's in our care homes...the numbers are high..

Jenny which of the three songs is it that you shared..I am assuming it was " Take Heart.." for its comforting and positive words..

Denver

Take Heart...is the one with shared.  My friend thanked me and you SO MUCH....she loved it!

I also enjoyed, WE SHALL OVER COME as well as the Matt Redman one.  I am sorry I did not also comment on them!

Jackie -  Thank you for posting the lovely forest video. I'm just waking up to start a new day, and wishing I were there, sitting beside that beautiful stream, and listening to the singing of the birds.  A calm and peaceful scene.
