It's with a heavy heart that I tell her dear friends, Jeanne Lee passed at 9:00 AM Thursday morning, Jan 11, 2018.

Alice (her daughter) and I were at her side when she passed very peacefully.  The last words she spoke to me Monday, were, "What would I do without you?" She paused a moment, took a breath and then said "I'm going to be with Jesus soon". 

Her friends, her family and her faith gave her so much joy and comfort. She considered all of you her family. Pat, she loved you and thought of you as the sister she never had.   

My brain tells me I will miss her less as time move on, my heart is not so sure. There will never be a day that goes by I will not think of her.  She was a good friend and a dedicated mother.

Per her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no memorial service other than a mention during Sunday's church service.

Jeanne Lee, nee Jeanne Alyce Bovee. 
Born, June 14, 1932 in Corinth NY, the daughter of Philip William Bovee and Mary V Jalet
Died, January 11, 2018 after a long illness.

Jeanne was widowed twice. She was married to her first husband, Raymond Bernard Corson from November 1951 until his passing in April 1988.  She was married to Eugene Charles Lee from September 1989, until his death in April 2005. 

Jeanne is survived by her 3 children,  Kenneth Raymond Corson of Winfield Park NJ, George William Corson of Phoenix Arizona, and Alice Jeanne Corson of Asheville North Carolina, 4 grand children Terry Corson, William Corson, Rachel Wechgelaer and Jacob Wechgelaer, and 2 great grand children, twins, Raymond and David Corson. 

Jeanne grew up in Corinth NY and went to school in Corinth until High School, when she went to a Catholic boarding school near Montreal Canada. In a very short period of time she became fluent in French and was a gifted student.  Her major was business where she became fluent in shorthand and was able to type at conversational speed enabling her to become an extraordinarily skilled executive secretary. Upon graduating, she moved to Hudson NY where she met her first husband, Raymond.  She moved with Raymond to Roselle for 3 years, then Clark NJ where she raised her 3 children.  When her children were older, she resumed her career as an executive secretary where she worked in the manufacturing, legal and banking fields.   

She eventually moved back to Corinth with Raymond, who also loved the town and people of Corinth where she remained after his death.  She moved again after marrying Eugene but stayed in Corinth.  She continued her career as a secretary in the banking industry until her retirement and was a also popular figure at her position in Town Hall. 

Jeanne was a devout Christian and active in the church.  She was also very active in the VFW auxiliary for many years.  She was always interested in both photography and computers.  She was an avid reader and fan of mystery novels.  For more 20 years she was very involved in two web sites, “Senior Net” and “Christian Photography” and assisted in both groups as an administrator.  She loved helping other seniors with internet access, banking, digital photography and loved helping in any capacity, always remarkably patient and generous with her time.  She became quite close to many of the people at Senior Net and was considered by many as family even though she never even met most of them. 

She will be missed by both her terrestrial and internet families as well as the many friends she’d made in her 85 years.

Jeanne, you are so missed on the site. looking after us, advising, helping.
I also had so much to learn from you, you always had an answer to any problem presented to you. 
On the other hand, it is a relief you are not suffering any more and found your peace on the other world.
You will remain a dear memory. Adieu Jeanne.

Jeanne seems to have had a full and good life. It such a nice picture of how she lived to be there for her family and others that she met along the way.  I enjoyed her pictures and words of wisdom.  Rest in peace dear Jeanne.
