4. The Lowest Place On Earth: The Dead Sea In Israel

17. Victor Hugo: ‎The Hunchback of Notre Dame

so_P_bubble

NEWS TODAY!

The two young men who were swept deep into the Dead Sea last night in the area of rank cliffs were taken to hospital in Jericho after being located and sick after eight hours of searching. "They were told they had a lot of salt in their bodies, but they were doing well," he told their friend Asfour.

The youths, Muhammad and Hisham, aged 23 and 24, from Ramallah, went for a walk in the Dead Sea for the holiday of Adha, together with four other friends. "We arrived at the scene at about 7:00 P.M., and we barbecued," Asfour said. "Then we got four friends into the water, but only three people came out, Muhammad didn't come back. We looked into the water and saw that it was about 100 meters from the beach. At first we thought he knew what he was doing, but Hisham immediately said that Muhammad could not swim and went into the water in an attempt to bring him back to shore, but he did not return and remained in the water."

He described the moments of horror when rescue forces were called. "I immediately called anyone who could possibly help, MDA, the police, gave them our location and then a lot of forces, police, ambulances and volunteers from the Megillat Rescue Unit began to arrive," Asfour said. "All night we walked along the beach and called them but they probably didn't hear us. When they were rescued, Hisham told me , "I was screaming all the time, but no one heard me."

Finally, Asfour thanked everyone who participated in the rescue attempts. "We thank and say thank you to all the volunteers who searched and helped us find them."

The two missing men were spotted tonight using a drone about two kilometers offshore. A private boat that reached them took them ashore, where they received initial medical treatment from a paramedic and were later taken by the Red Crescent to hospital in a moderate condition, after being in the water with 34% salinity for about eight hours.

rutumi

[rutumi, you are correct with #2 and unfortunately, #6 is not the correct answer but a good try! You can attempt another question or retry #6. Thank you for playing!]

I'll try again. Was a little confused by "slang name" for New York City used by locals. We joke about the kids having to like apples, since they live in the biggest one. I'm from Brooklyn, so I'm a Bum (from Dem Bums, the BROOKLYN Dodgers), but in Manhattan they mostly use names for local areas, e.g.  the East Village, Chelsea, NOHO, SOHO, StuyTown, Peter Cooper Village, Alphabet City, and of course uptown, downtown, East side, West side. So maybe my answer should have been: Locals don't use any slang for NYC.
